Worst company

"I paid this company off months ago and they keep finding ways to charge me all kinds of fees. I call and cancel vip service on 16th and on 18th generate new bill with another 16.99 fee and 10.00 late fee and 1.00 fee for who knows. So something I paid off months ago I owe again 27.95...... REALLY TERRIBLE COMPANY "

"Yep. I did HER house in Colorado, the owner. The house was gross. Pool never maintained. Heard she died. Always had the creeps in there.
The reason you guys are scammed is because I heard they now run their catalog company (order placement) through prison. Yep, felons are dealing with your transactions. Have a nice day.

Scammers

"As of 1/26/2022 their Facebook page is phishing security information on their wall asking Pets name, favorite team, favorite show. All facebook security protection questions. Customer service hung up on me while reporting this. Run and stear clear of these scammers. Not a legit company."

BUYER BEWARE! USE A REPUTABLE COMPANY!

"On 11/07/21, I ordered some sweets from Walter Drake to be sent to my family for Thanksgiving, 11/25/21. The order was not processed until 11/15/21. Because of this delay and the 6 - 9 business days to deliver the gift, it may not be delivered until after Thanksgiving Day!
On 11/15/21, I was notified that the order was finally shipped to my family and was given a UPS tracking number. However, on the UPS tracking site, that tracking number was marked as "invalid". I telephoned the customer service department about this and was told that it would take up to 72 hours to issue a correct tracking number.

Poor Customer Service

"Poor Customer Service
I have been a customer of Walter Drake for years, this year their customer service was so bad they will never receive my business again. I placed an order, after one week, it still hadn't left their warehouse. I called to cancel the order and they informed me the order had been processed and was waiting to be shipped and couldn't be cancelled. Now I have to wait for delivery and deny the package in order to receive a refund. UNACCEPTABLE! This company will never receive my business again.

Order at your own risk!!

"#1 Plan on being ON HOLD at the very least 10 minutes. #2 Look forward to speaking to the rudest of Customer Service Representatives ever!
#3 I ordered a clock radio--literally a piece of junk-- NOT packed in any material to keep it from moving around in the box.
#4 I explained to the customer service representative that I tried several times to print their return label to no avail and asked her to send the UPS return label to me via snail mail. She said she could not do that, that I should send the merchandise back my own way. When I explained to her I work two jobs and cannot get to the post office she still refused. After going back and forth with her for more than five minutes I asked to speak with her supervisor. She said he was not there. I said to her, that this is customer service, you are suppose to accommodate your customers! She asked to put me on a brief hold. When she returned, she said she would send me a return label-- just this once as a courtesy but next time I would need to print the label myself. I again explained to her that if I was able to do that, I would not be wasting my time with her, on the phone. She then put me on hold again, upon her return she said that the return label will take 2-3 weeks for me to receive. I told her if she mailed it today, it should take no longer than 4-7 days. We then reviewed my mailing address, I made a slight change to the address because it was being sent to where I work...that seemed to be a problem with her as well. She than said thank you blah, blah, blah... I asked for her name and she abruptly hung up the phone. FYI, the return label came two days later--it was for the POST OFFICE NOT UPS as I had requested. Lucky for me a friend was able to print the label off the computer and it went back UPS from my place of business. If you remember, I worked two jobs and the post office was not an option for me. The customer service rep deliberately sent a post office return label rather than the UPS return label I requested. I will never do business with this company again and advise all who read this, to do the same...

"Misprints on Page 39 of Spring 2019 Catalog
I had the pleasure of receiving a Walter Drake 2019 Spring Catalog for the first time last week. The products all looked wonderful, so I took a look. Wonderful prices and great sales. I received my first of two shipments yesterday. Going through, I received two pairs of socks, one navy, and one black. OK, I have another order coming and its ok, the other four are coming. I looked and shipment two, nothing is mentioned on the shipping label. I looked back at the catalog (page 39), no, I am not wrong, it says "sets of 3" so I should receive 3 sets of socks, 3 navy, and 3 black. I call customer service and explain my situation. They automatically tell me no, they are sold separately. I ask them to check page 39 of their catalog. They put me on hold and they tell me I am right, but it is a misprint. They can offer me a $10.00 voucher. I tell them I want my socks, not a voucher. No is the final answer. I then tell them to credit my order $10.00 - no they can't.

Their product is beautiful, service is great, shipping was nice but I can not do business that falsely advertises.

WALTER DRAKES DECEPTIVE SELLING PRACTICES

"Got E-mail for FREE SHIPPING and 25% off all merchandise. That is a total and complete lie. They give nothing off on AS SEEN ON TV ITEMS. The web-site does not tell you that, nor does the E-mail. In my opinion this is out and out fraud. You enter the code and it tells you the code has been applied for the discount, but nothing changes and they still charge you full price. I talked to customer service. In my opinion, they are aware of this and know it is a real problem. They are trained on how to handle this - which is useless to the customer."

"I ordered hearing aids for my wife and they where the worst piece of junk I have ever seen. They came to her used complete with ear wax. The sound quality was the worst. So I returned them for a refund. Well they take your money right now but take 60 days to refund it. Also the products they sell are imports and junk. But american and save your self the trouble with Walter Drake."

"I ordered two sets of address labels. I received one set and was told the other set was on backorder. Apparently they had run out of blank labels, which I found hard to believe. Anyway, I called back two months (!) later and they said the labels would be shipped to me in a few days. Two weeks and two calls later, I was told they couldn't ship the labels because I had originally paid through Amazon. Since the order was placed so long ago, Amazon wouldn't approve payment anymore. I asked them why they hadn't contacted me before and they basically shrugged. They did offer to take my credit card number and process the order, but I was so annoyed that I cancelled it. "

"I ordered a splatter shield which arrived earlier than I expected and it was damaged. I called Walter Drake customer service and, without hesitation, they agreed to send me another right away. No hassle and very easy. I would order from this site again. They did not ask me to review them... I feel that they are worthy of feedback on their willingness to respond so quickly to resolve this."

"I ordered, among several other things, a set of single use coffee filters for my Keurig coffee system. Within four months, the screens on all the filters failed, and when I called, the company wanted me to return them at my own expense (which would cost more than the items) after telling me that their warranty is only 45 days. I will never do business with this company again."

"I order a plant leveler from them on 11/22/2008. I don't hear from them for 3 weeks, call and am told that they just came in today and I believe yours was shipped. 2 weeks later, still no product so I send an email. No answer, no product. 3 days ago I get an email from them canceling my order with no explaination, apology, or anything.

This company has NO idea what customer service is. I will NEVER order another thing from them. When I sent them another email telling them I was very unhappy with their company, guess what? No response!!

"I ordered 2 foam cushions from this store online. I got one email from them acknowledging the order, however, it did not include ANY information about the order, nor did it include the order number. I finally called back after two week and was told they were on back order and that they MIGHT ship out in another week. The operater I talked to was a little "snippy" while I remained completely calm and polite. She seemed to have little interest in the fact that it was taking so long. This is NOT the way to do business. I was never informed the merchandise was on back order, nor was I told it would take the better part of a month to get my merchandise."
