Failure to advertise problem was solvable

"I ordered contact lenses to a store at a location where I would be for a 2 week vacation. The lenses did not arrive before I had to leave for home. Customer service informed me that contact lenses have a 15 day standard ship time and it was the Holiday season, adding more delays. Had I known standard shipping for contacts was 15 days I would not have ordered, but their website did not mention that long of a shipping time. I wrongfully assumed that contact orders were as quick as filling a pharmacy prescription. The customer service agent also agreed that the 15 day shipping period should have been mentioned outright.

Because the lenses arrived at the store location after I left town, I had no way to pick them up. The local store's customer service said there was nothing they could to to send them to my hometown store- as the shipping is handled through FedEx. Long story short, I called the customer service line again who then connected with the contact supplier's customer service and Susan was able to get a replacement order sent to my home address. I'm grateful that the problem was dealt with very effectively, but if there was more information available outright during my initial ordering, this all could have been avoided.

They don't care if your sick.

"Why can these people get my medicine to me? It's a week over due and I ran out on Friday. It's kicking my **** and they have straight out said they don't care. I truly hate the pharmacist. I'm a cancer patient and my meds allow me to function. I'm not standing very well right now and have no one to get these for me. They screwed up and didn't send it out until last Thursday but they must have sent it by way of Siberia. I called them on Friday and sat on hold for hours. They they said they don't care if it get it on time or not. These are not care givers! They just take the money and do the least they can. I can't get out and can't get all the meds I rely upon to keep me alive, transferred.

I highly suggest you go somewhere else and save yourself the headache

"I HIGHLY suggest you all go somewhere other than Walgreens. i have had so many issues with the Walgreens Pharmacy manager in Torrington, CT. Over and over, they send you texts saying your scripts are ready and then, because if you’re disabled, you ask someone to get it for you, they tell your caretaker that theres nothing ready. it’s a real pain in the **** when you have to go someplace multiple times because they lie to you. I called to ask if it was ready and they say it’s ready.

The pharmacy manager will NEVER let you finish a sentence and refunds a mistake when not even given the proper insurance cause he won’t let you finish a sentence.

I will use up my points and will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN and suggest you save yourself the headache.

"Upon visiting 9/26/20 evening, store located 25th and division St Cloud, MN. I was disgusted with the garbage shrewn about in the parking lot. Entrance stained and smelly and dirty. CVS across the street was clean and inviting. Walgreens clean up your property. I let manager know and was shrugged off. This is my neighborhood too and want to keep it clean."

Poor Cashier/Customer Service behavior

"I walked into the Walgreens at St. Charles Plaza in Davenport, Florida on June 22, 2020, and was greeted by the cashier. This is where I always come to buy my water. I stopped for moment, because I forgot what I went in there for. She was speaking to a gentleman. I remembered, and started walking down the aisle. I did not get a cart because I really only went there for one thing. I found my item and a couple others and started walking back to the cash register which is located at the front of the store. As I turned the corner, there was this cashier. Profiling me. She literally left the front of the store unsupervised to find out where I had gone, she happened to run into another worker and played it off. If not, she was giving her instructions to keep an eye on me. I had to wait behind one customer, but when it was my turn, she scanned my savings card and immediately started calling me by my first name which I was very uncomfortable with. All loud. She said my first name at least five times. Though she fiend friendliness the entire time, I felt exposed. No one else was treated that way. I did not know her, she had no right to make me feel as uncomfortable as I did. I will not return because of her. No one has ever scanned my card, and used the information to publicly shame, expose or familiarize themselves with me. In these times, of identity theft, privacy statements and other atrocities, she needs to be more professional. She asked if she could call me by my name so I can say no. That visit made me feel profiled and disrespected. She never did it to anyone else. I will not return. I will let everyone else I know who goes there know about this. This a business. One person or employee can determine the success or failure of that establishment."

Liabelus Walgreen store manager

"My wife and I were floored today at Walgreen in lapeer Michigan, when a twenty-something store manager refused to allow my wife to send $300 to her family in Brazil.....in Brazil.....$300....we are still trying to understand what he meant when he accused her of sending financial support to Guatemalan terrorists....I was not even aware Guatemala had terrorist groups ......but he refused to allow us to send money to Brazil using his Western Union machine.....I need to contact Western Union about this also.....but for now, I am seeking the correct government department that might help us ......"

Rude cashier

"I was in store today. I had $5 off digital coupon and also I had clipped $5 off coupon from Walgreen apps for Crest toothpaste . I bought several item . In checkout he just applied $1 off coupon for two crest toothpaste i told him about my $5 off coupon for toothpaste. He get angry with me and he behaved me very rude. He said its already applied. When I checked later I found he just applied $1 off coupon instead of $5 off coupon. I just started shop in this store because of rude cashier I dont want to go there again. If Walgreens don't want to apply coupons than why they give coupons I dont understand. Why they rudely behave with customers. "

Walgreens needs to take a stand

"We are older adults and the Coronavirus has us concerned. My husband went to the Walgreens near our home wearing a mask for protection. When a gentlemen (a customer) kept circling my husband without a mask and my husband would re route himself down another direction but, sure enough-here he comes again so my husband asked him to keep his distance to which the gentlemen looked at my husband with a smirk and walked right by him.
CVS is so much more concerned about their customer. Walgreens fills prescriptions for people who are ill or in need of those prescriptions why would they not take their health into consideration and require mask at this time. They are after all in the health business with ill patients coming in for medication. Their immune systems may not be very strong. This man could have been a carrier without symptoms. Is Walgreens so concerned about their profits that they would cause possible harm to their customers. Shame on you Walgreens. Walgreens needs to set an example and they need to change this policy and make it right. I am outraged at this attitude that money matter more then human life does not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll go to CVS.

"I have been going to walgreens for years and I never had any problems but it's one pharmacist name munzie at Nostrand n Fulton in Brooklyn he goes out his way to help and he has a lot of patience and I pray they keep him because hes phenomenal walgreens you have a excellent worker."

stay away from this store

"4715 Hodges Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32224, this store manager to all the staff are clueless, how to REDEEM digital coupons. i spent time online clipping coupons. when i went to purchase products, in the past to happened many times, today 2/24/2020, 11:25 am, i needed somethings, it was on my way home, went here. even manager and store manager came to register, to solve, did not. lied to me that they game me discount. worthless people. wasted my time.
I clipped digital coupons online, one is $7 off coupon for buying two Florastor probiotics, one for Tide, $2 off coupon.
manager said: i received discount, it is for two Florastor purchase is buy one regular price, get second half off. so with that purchase, i automatically get $11, half off.

store manager lied to me, he said: he gave me discount, it was NOT $9, discount from digital coupon savings.

time was 11:25 am, 2/24/2020

San Pablo and Beach Blvd walgreen is top of my list, best store, i give it 10/10 score. all the employees know what to do

Scam artists who are trying to profit off your bad health

"with medicaid decided to tell me it's going to be 56 dollars for the prescriptionto explain the cost they tell me the medicine I got previously from them over a year ago and should have still lasted me there for the insurance would not pay for it and I had to pay for it out of my pocket but then when I transfer the prescription to a Smith's Pharmacy I got my medicine with no charge and no bulshit running around so therefore Walgreens is a terrible place to fill your script they are looking to charge you and probably still charge the insurance company"

Promises to return calls to address a complaint, but never occur.

"Among a prescription involving 180 tablets it contained three partially fractured tablets and one that was purposely snapped in two along the score line. If you count that latter snapped tablet as being two separate whole tablets the total would be 180, but counted as the one as they should represent and the total count was reduced to 179. I returned these the following morning when the first opened and was told they "couldn't do anything about it, but I would receive a call back." My time and transportation meant nothing to them. These are not fragile tablets, so they were either very roughly handled from their larger container or by mechanical counter device, or simply tampered with, hoping they would get by unnoticed. The prior month they replaced one partially fractured tablet I received from them which had never happened in the past. The pill bottle did not contain any of the small fragments or residual powder from these tablets, which means the damage did not happen within the end user consumer container. More than likely it was an attempt to pass off the first damaged tablet a second time along with two others. Was promised a telephone call from them later that day, but of course that never happened nor during the next few days, causing me to call them again as well as their corporate / district manager for intervention three times and only received unfulfilled promises as of two weeks later. Their apparent corporate strategy for handling complaints is to ignore them with the hope that they simply go away when the customer gives up through frustration. They quite simply do not care. Was told by a former customer who had experienced the same problem involving fractured and/or missing tablet(s) that this was far from an uncommon complaint. This being a schedule II medication, perhaps Walgreens needs to conduct a urinalysis or two from those involved in these kinds of incidents. ALWAYS COUNT your pills to verify the proper amount, but know in advance that they DO NOT RETURN CALLS. I have since transferred all of my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. Oh... before I sign off my dear friends at Walgreens, complaints were processed in writing that detail this incident. I wonder if you intend to blow off the DEA upon their contact in the same manner. Good luck. You wanted it this way, so for your convenience and in order to serve you better, I am making it possible."

Sent wrong item but only gave store credit

"I ordered an item on walgreens.com. First Walgreens sent the incorrect item. Then worse, when I returned the item to my local Walgreens store, they refused to refund my credit card or give a cash refund; they would only give me store credit. Then after I went to back to walgreens.com and wrote a review of the item to say they sent me a substitute item, they added insult to injury by not publishing the review."

Photo copier experience

"On Jan 21 I went into my local Walmart in Pompano Bch Fl #6416 to make copies of photos on their self serve copier in photo dept. Having never used this copier before I tried to do by myself but quite difficult as instructions too vague or non existent. I finally asked for help and an associate assisted me with a fairly good attitude. I went back on Jan 22 to make an additional photo copy and again tried to do myself but again had to ask for help. A female manager(?) came to me and impatiently asked why I hadn’t put in quantity? Um that’s why I asked for help? I could tell that she either was stressed over an issue or she didn’t want to help an old person. I bit my tongue and despite my annoyance with her rude behavior managed to say thank you. She attempted to print a price ticket for the photo but couldn’t do it after several tries so she just handed me the photo and called me “ sweetheart”. (?) At checkout I found out photo was no charge which was somewhat of redeeming factor. I would have preferred an apology but it never came. I think this manager needs additional training in customer service and stress management. As a side note the cashiers here are always friendly and polite."

Wannabe DOCTORS

"Every month this Pharmacy location seems to believe they have a right to delay or withhold medications that they believe a customer shouldn't be on. Every month I get a notification saying Im delayed for UNTRUE reasons. Because I was nice enough to authorize a partial substitute with an off brand once due to their stock issues, now they do it all the time and sometimes the whole script, I ask them not to anymore an they say because I authorized it now my doctor has to tell them to no longer substitute it.

11/07/19 they leave a vm saying delayed an need authorization from the doctors, I call the doctors and they deny this or any contact from walgreens, 12/04/19 Walgreens vm delayed for insurance issue, contact insurance and again UNTRUE and ALREADY CHARGED, I contact walgreeens and they SAY they are REALLY DELAYED because they were delayed FOR LIES last month so now IM DELAYED to pick up this month, they don't care if its paid for already, they hold it based on last months pick up date which THEY DELAYED! My doc now had to call an change the script!! 12/28/19 Walgreens delayed for insurance issues again UNTRUE, I called an spoke to Andrea the pharmacist on 12/30 who tells me that its REALLY DELAYED cause my doctors called "per Ashley" an told them not to fill it until the 11th, WHAT! I call the doctors an they say that's not true, they call walgreens and walgreens never says to them anything about Ashley the receptionist and instead tells them that THEY WONT give it to me because I have to finish the first script in full WHAT! This was a change to the last script giving to me the month before because im pregnant and they were making me sick and throwing up so this is a different medication and a specific medication and brand!! Andrea then tells me that I SHOULD HAVE INFORMED THEM THAT I'M PREGNANT ...WHAT!! and that I can’t have a script that is there waiting for me which is ibuprofen, WHAT! Who the he!! does this idiot think she is that customers should have to disclose to them medical conditions! A Yale New Haven prenatal specialist sent over that script but yet this glorified pill dispenser is telling me she somehow knows more than the kind of education a Yale baby doctor would have!! She doesn’t know why it was prescribed NOR SHOULD SHE! I dare Andrea to call this ACTUAL DOCTOR and tell her that she needs to explain to Andrea why she prescribed that for me and tell this specialist that they should have told Andrea Im pregnant cause I would love to hear what this ACTUAL doctor would say in response!! What kind of a narcissist do you have to be to think that customers to walgreens or doctors have to tell you their medical issues before they can have a script so that you THE PHARMACY can decide if the script is accurate!!! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO VIOLATE A CUSTOMERS PRIVACY, you have no right to hold my medications because you were unaware of my medical issues, you have no right to hold my medications until you find out why they were prescribed!!
The days when you would worry about getting ur script or wondering if insurance would cover it GONE, now ur biggest concern is if walgreens pharmacist who wanna play DOCTOR think you should be on the medication because if they think you shouldn't be on it, they will delay them, hold them, lie to you, put you through hell every month or just not give them to you AT ALL! My pregnancy is high risk and if I end up in the hospital due to stress or from not having the medications that walgreens are playing games with every month which is easily proven by all the “delayed” voicemails for lies, I will come for walgreens!!
I've been with the same doctors for 10 years and this same pharmacy for 10 years, 4 years ago this place was staffed with the most amazing pharmacist and assistants and now the ones here are wannabe DOCTORS and NOT in any way that would help a customer, huge difference compared to 4 years ago when I probably trusted those pharmacist more than my doctors.
