Horrible!!!

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I placed and paid for an order on 10/16/2020 and after 2 months of waiting and being told my chair would arrive "any day now", I was told I need to wait another 3 months!!! What a scam!! They will take your money but they don't deliver. Stay away!!! My Rep, Tammy, didn't respond to any of my 6 emails and 3 voicemail messages. Terrible customer service!!! Extremely unprofessional company."

BEWARE

"BEWARE

We bought two $1000 refurbished chairs from Vitalityweb/Thebackstore. The first arrived fine. The second arrived with tears on the headrest, seat, AND handle.

We tried to reach a manager over multiple calls and emails, and were always told "he was out in the warehouse" or "he doesn't come in on Fridays". After the 4th call, and 30 minutes on the phone, the phone rep finally told me us shouldn't have expected a good chair, since it was refurbished, and most people only buy it for spare parts.

We now have no choice but to donate the chair to charity. It is a complete waste of $1000 + shipping.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

"I purchased a $1000.00 Human Touch Back Chair from this company. The chairs bonded leather started coming off after just a couple months. I spent weeks trying to get an answer and finally had Rosie of Vitality Web tell me that they will NOT stand behind any defect in the chair and that I should have seen that on their website before I purchased. I did not see that or I never would have given these crooks $1000 for a chair. "

A good shopping experience

"I'm not sure what's up with all the negative reviews, some recent, some years old. Our relatively simple purchase went smoothly. Bought as-is 2 Ekornes office chairs listed on their showroom clearance page at their website. All the email traffic from them was very prompt and the fellow was patient when I sequentially inquired about a couple of different chairs, beforehand. Purchased the chairs sight unseen which in hindsight might have been risky, but the trucking service they use was great and the chairs actually were repacked in salvaged shipping boxes and transported on pallets. That was a lot better treatment than what I expected for showroom clearance items. I was also pleased upon cutting open the boxes that the chairs were packed nicely and looked brand new, untouched. In hindsight, the only thing I regret was not thinking about saving on what amounted to 8% shipping fee quoted as part of the chair price. But that would have meant driving 120 miles one way to a town I've never had a reason to go to, in the past. No other errands to do along the way, to make the trip more useful. The 30 day return policy that starts the day you purchase anything is a little tricky on bulky items that burn up a lot of time during shipment. Luckily in our case, there's nothing to complain about, so far. Looks brand new and was well packed and handled professionally during shipment."

"DO NOT BUY FROM VITALITY WEB aka THE BACKSTORE

Worst company ever to deal with- Vitality Web the Backstore - They're in California, I'm in Missouri. I purchased a Getaway Elite RMS-10 Robotic Massage Chair on June 22, 2017. My Chiropractor had one & I loved it. She wanted to sell it to me for $2000 because the leg hydraulics didn't work and she couldn't get them fixed. I opted for a new one thru the Backstore. I specifically asked about the warranty because of the aforementioned problem. I bought the extended in-home warranty and was assured the contracted company could fix any problem. I received the chair on July 11 and on July 26 informed VWB the left arm massage didn't work and the leg hydraulics bled out in a matter of minutes. It is now 11/28/2017. They sent me a new arm, and I had to fix that myself. I'm pretty handy and it was still tough, and I had to get help. They never sent anyone out to fix the leg mechanism, and two months later, they finally insisted I must send the chair back for their factory tech to fix! After never receiving a call tag, in-home service or basically answers to any of my questions, on 10/26/17 I told them I was done. I wanted all of my money back. I told them to send a smaller truck, as a semi trailer would not be able to get here. They sent me a BOL with liftgate stipulated. That was three carriers ago. I took off work two days and waited, only to find out those carriers only had semi's or didn't come to this area. I paid for a crate to be made on the pallet instead of relying on the original cardboard only. I'm still waiting. They told me Roadrunner wouldn't pick up here even though they are the ones who delivered it. I just called Roadrunner. They WILL pick up here. A week ago I asked for a refund now, and they can get their chair whenever they CAN find someone to pick it up. I've not received a reply. I've had this huge thing sitting in my garage for nearly a month now. I'm out close to a thousand dollars in wages and crate building fees not to mention the 3K for the chair and extended warranty. I'm NOT HAPPY.

"In February I purchased a Herman Miller Aeron chair from Vitalityweb in Poway. Their office staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I walked into the office where a nice guy greeted me and asked if he could help me with anything and I (extremely excited have been waiting a long time to buy) said I want to purchase an Aeron chair. As he walked me through the showroom, I was greeted by some of the staff, not to mention all of my questions were answered and I walked out of there with my new Aeron chair.

"Over 7 days ago, we ordered some replacement wheels for a Herman Miller Aeron chair at a very high price we might add.- $150 just to get the right wheels that probably should have come with our Aeron chair (bought from Vitality Web) to begin with.

At the time of order we were told, "If you don't have them in a week let us know."

Having heard nothing on the status of our order (other than receiving the initial order confirmation email), we phoned them today, a week later. We were told by Vitality Web that they have no information about the status of our order other than it was placed, and no tracking number or any information for us.

We are now being told we have to wait until at least 3 more weeks for a total of 4 weeks! Yet, we were told in no un-certain terms at the time of placing the order that the item was in stock at Herman Miller and it would be one week. What gives?

We don't appreciate being lied to by Vitality Web / Backstore Poway, CA. This is very bad customer service.

Vitality Web could certainly contact Herman Miller and get the tracking number for us or check on the status of this order for us, but they are too lazy to do so.

We will be reporting this to Herman Miller corporate as well as The Better Business Bureau and online via social media channels.

We simply cannot condone Vitality Web being an authorized Herman Miller parts distributor/dealer with their completely unacceptable customer service!
