Zero stars!!!

"I ordered a pair of shoes A MONTH AGO, paid EXPRESS DELIVERY, and I have still not received my order!!! When I attempted to email “sales@versa...” at first it came back as “undeliverable” then I received a response that said I would have my order status in 12-24 hours FOUR DAYS AGO and still haven’t heard back yet! I feel like I’ve been scammed and I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS SITE AGAIN!!!!! I wish I would’ve read the reviews first "

Boots!

"I ordered boots, after order was placed is when I received an email saying allow 2-3 weeks for shipping. They finally arrived, they look nothing like what I ordered, and are cheaply made. When I tried to cancel the order, you are given the run around. Don’t order anything from this company!"

"Don’t buy from here. Very disappointed. The quality was eh. Not the worst but not quality and a 10 day return policy over the holidays is ridiculous. I try to help small business but I will not buy here again and I warn others as well. So many on line stores offer great return policies so go there so you are safe buying on line - zero customer service at this shop"

"STAY AWAY FROM VERSADEALS!! THEY ABSOLUTELY BAIT AND SWITCH AND IN THE PROCESS THEY LIE.

I ordered a Nikon SB900 flash but received a call stating it would make my photos dark. The representative (Joey) stated that I had a digital camera and needed a flash made for digital cameras. I was (and I'm still) new to photography although I have learned quite a lot since and thought he was simply trying to help. He indicated the Sigma EF610 is brand new and world work much better with my camera. I was skeptical about that and decided to look up the price of the Sigma in question and found out if was going for about half the price he quoted me on other sites.

The following day I called him to report my findings and he assured me that those are the old ones and that they (VersaDeals) had the brand new ones that are not out in stores yet since they (VersaDeals)are wholesalers. According to Joey, the retail stores would get the new versions in about six months. I went ahead and got the Sigma which did not perform consistently - sometimes it did flash on other occasion it didn't. Since I discovered the problem the day after I ordered it; (I did receive it the following day) when I was able to contact Joey by phone (they were closed a bunch of days and wanted to be only contacted by phone) I told him I wanted to return the flash. He put me onto his "supervisor" who promptly told me I could not return the flash because it was past three days since I received it.

With the objective of preventing what I assumed would have been a contentious situation I agreed to have it replaced. However, since I did not trust them anymore (I had gone to the Sigma website and did not see any newer version of that flash) I put a small mark somewhere since I was convinced they were not going to send me a brand new replacement. Just as I expected; when I received the supposedly new replacement there was the little mark I had previously placed. However, the flash worked flawlessly and without fail during all the testing I did that day and for the next few days. (The supervisor had assured me that he uses the same flash with his camera and it works perfectly - maybe he sent me his as the new replacement). Update: After testing again a few hours ago, the flash fails again - does not flash every time.

I did not call to question why I did not get a new replacement since the flash worked - at the time - and I wanted nothing more to do with those people. What I did decide was never to order from them again. Then a few weeks later I saw an ad from another site: buyherephoto.com (I think they have at least three web sites) with a "too good to be true" deal on a Nikon 24-70mm lens. I ordered it right away. Then there was an email from the site that I should call them since they needed the three numbers on the back of my credit card. (Something I think is left out intentionally as a pretext to have customers call them for the famous BAIT AND SWITCH!!)

He had already told my wife that that Nikon 24-70 was not good and inquired why I wanted that particular lens. Right away I suspected it was the same people. I decided I was not going to switch to a different lens and made it clear (before they could try the scam) that I wanted no other lens than the one I ordered. Days went by and I received no email indicating the lens was shipped. I called and was told it would arrive at their warehouse in three or four weeks, upon which I immediately demanded that the order be cancelled. All reputable companies inform their customers when items are on back order or when they are not in stock; not these guys!

I do not believe they have that lens or will ever be able to sell it at their advertised price and even if they could I would ever dare to order from them again. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THEY FALSELY ADVERTISE, BAIT/SWITCH AND LIE IN THE PROCESS! I would have liked to give VersaDeals straight zeros (except for the initial speed in which they delivered the package - but that was tarnished by the fact that I had to pay to return it for exchange - he did include 4 batteries and a charger to compensate for that, however, the overall experience was terrible) but that option is not available.

Update: After further checking online I was prompted by a link to send VersaDeals complaints to the Attorney General which I have done.

"DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS MERCHANT! I purchased a camera and lens kit from this merchant. The lenses I received were not the ones I ordered, they were a much cheaper lense than what I paid for-did not include macro or OS like the sales person told me, and the company refused to allow me to return the items withough charging me a $600 restocking fee even though when I ordered the items I specifically asked him if I would be able to return the items without any charge because I am a new photographer. The salesperson said there would be no restocking fee and was very aggressive in throwing in additional accesseries to make the deal. After calling him to try to refund, he kept trying to give me additional perks to get me to keep the items, but I refused to do additional business with a company that was as dishonest as them. This is the big kicker-THEY CALLED MY HUSBAND AT WORK, TALK ABOUT UNPROFESSIONAL! THE OWNER BOTHERED HIM AT WORK AND TOLD THE DESK CLERK THAT IT WAS AN EMERGENCY AND INTEREPTED AN IMPORTANT MEETING! And they kept calling me at home harrasing me trying to get me to drop the dispute I started with my credit card company! DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM VERSADEALS.COM! THEY ARE NOT A HONEST COMPANY!!!"

"I ordered a flash from them and after not hearing word one from them AFTER 8 DAYS I called and they told me the item was back ordered. You think that they could have informed me as this item was to be a gift!
I will NOT EVER do business with a company that has so little regard for their customers. Yes, their prices are great but if they have no integrity I would rather pay more.

"Well, when it seems to good to be true it is. Bought a canon 60d, then they tried to sell me a memory card and battery for $400. when I told them no they said ok. After waiting past delivery promise, I called and was told it is on 5wk back order, sure... I cancelled which is really what they wanted since I didn't but $70 worth of extras for $400. Stay away! They are scammers."

"AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH!! I ONLY WISH WE COULD RATE WITH NEGATIVE STARS!!!

I wrote a comment, but want to be able to give the low rating myself!

Called about a Canon lens - was told it was in stock - ordered it online. Got a phone call a few minutes later - tried to sell me a different lens - told them "No!" and they said they'd ship the Canon lens right out. I waited 2 weeks - no lens. Called and asked if it was in stock again and was told "Yes!" Then told them that I had ordered it but haven't received it. He told me to call back and talk to Customer Service (Yeah, right!) They told me they were out of stock and would have it in 10-14 days.Three months have passed.I called today and asked if it was in stock.Guess what?!! I was told it was!!Called Customer Service again and was told 8-14 weeks backordered!!! CANCELLED THE ORDER!!! Beware!!!I don't think this place has anything in stock!! Also be advised about their "USA Warranty" It's a "VersaDeals" warranty and not a "USA" manufacturer warranty. Their warranty is probably as good as their current supply and customer support!

"Called to see if camera lens was in stock; was assured that it was, so placed order using expedited shipping. Next day received an email to call them to confirm, which I did, and was once again assured that item was in stock. Waited for almost a week and then called to check on status and was told that item was backordered for 4-6 weeks. Told them that I had been assured it was in stock twice and he said that was impossible since it was shipping from out of the country and no one would know which warehouse. I said I had also confirmed that this was from USA and he said no, it wasn't (it is grey market), but it had a STORE USA warranty; a USA lens would be much more expensive. Canceled item.
I could be wrong, but I believe that Versadeals.com and Buyherephoto.com are owned by the same company and therefore equally BAD about lies and poor customer service. Don't shop here -- it must be them or their friends leaving any positive remarks.

"BAIT & SWITCH CROOKS. Advertised a Sigma lens at a ridiculously low price. I ordered it. They called me and told me my Kenko Lens was on its way. I told them that I ordered the Sigma lens. They said the ad was only for the case for the Sigma Lens. Then they tried to sell me other lenses. How can we put these guys in jail where they belong ?"

"RUN AWAY as fast as you can! VersaDeals is a scam. They quote unbelievable prices. When you call to make an order, you suddenly become a "retail" customer, and the prices on your charge card have nothing to do with what is on the internet. They then tell you that is the "posted internet price", which of course it is not. They then give you a new number to put in your computer to find the "retail price", and sure enough, it is there in a shadow posting not accessible without their code.
Every item I received came either without everything in the box, repackaged, damaged, or as a separate item broken up from a combo pack and resold. Their "professional grade" items are blurred out on the internet, and turn out to be marked up by 3-5 fold from reliable stores. By the time you figure all of this out, you get the pleasure of paying for the return fees, and a huge "restocking fee". So they make money on you even if you return all their stuff which is misrepresented. They then yell at you on the phone to try to get you to go away. I have sent over 25 pages of documentation of their numerous types of fraud to American Express, and have asked Am Ex to block all purchases to Versa Deals with Am Ex. These folks are sociopathic liars.

"BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!! TOTAL SCAM B*E*W*A*R*E!!!!!!
I ordered a Canon 70-200 f/2.8L EF IS USM lens at what I thought was a great price. After confirming my order by email I was called by Pete on a Sunday morning wanting to comfirm my order again. I did think this was a bit odd but considering it was a relativly expensive lens I thought it must have been protocal. After confirming my order he had said he had the latest version of that same Canon lens, the II for only a few dollars more After some negotiating we arived at a great price and he also included a set of glass filters. I was excited and anxiously awaiting my order. When the order came I couldnt get the package opened quick enough only to realize it was the wrong lens, it was a much cheaper (Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM) which retailed for about $400.00 less everywhere else. I immediately called VersaDeals and was told that the Sigma lens is the lens we agreed and that I would have to pay a $200.00 restocking fee. I had said I just wanted the first series Canon lens that I had originally ordered. Pete had informed me that lens was not available, that if I wanted the lens it would come as a plastick nock off lens and would come in an unmarked box. At that point asked to speak to a manager, owener etc... because Pete was being rude, unprofessional and just informed me they were selling fake Canon lenses. Pete had sad he was the owner of the company and there was no one else that I could speak to other then him. After a few choice words and much back and forth I wound up paying top retail for the second series Canon lens because that is the only real lens he could produce, and I didnt want to pay the restocking fee and get nothing. This was a nightmare experiance and would not recomend anyone buy anything from them. They are definitely a basement operation or a "boiler room operation". I could hear Pete casually smoking a cigarette during our conversation. STAY AWAY BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!! SCAM!!!!!!!!!!
