Verizon will rip you off!

"I had been with Verizon for 4 years. Sprint had a free phone offer so I switched. I canceled before the next Verizon due date. They charged me for the full plan even though I had no active phones with them. I spoke to a manager and told him I am disputing the bill and please send me the billing so we can discuss it. I received the bill showing I was being charged when my phones were not active. I received a collection call the day after getting the bill. As soon as he sent me the bill he turned me over to collections. After waiting on hold for an hour Verizon said they could not negotiate the bill because it was turned over to collections. Do not do business with Verizon! Verizon has no customer service, makes you wait for an hour to speak to the correct person, will do everything in their power to steal every dime they can from you. I will never do business with Verizon and I recommend you don't either!"

Horrible customer service

"Need help with a problem that doesn't fall into one of Verizon's autoattendant's pre-programmed choices? Then you'll need to call between the hours of 8:30 and 5:00, Monday through Friday, and when you do call (presumably while you're at work) you'll remain on hold indefinitely. Their hold music's nice, at least."

Good signal. Poor customer service.

"I was working in Easter Montana 80 miles from civilization. I have AT&T and for a 10 mile stretch I had no signal. Wasted $500 on a signal booster. Drove 80 miles to the nearest Walmart and picked up a $39 phone and paid $30 for unlimited calls & text. Problem solved.

Cancelling service, they total misdirect you. ***-***-**** is the only number they insist can stop service. Yesterday I started calling this number around 4pm PST and kept getting “We’re busy. Hang up”. It was almost that bad but they end the call with “HANG UP”.

Today I call the number and I am on hold over 90 minutes. So using my other phone I called customer service ***-***-****) and I immediately got through and he reluctantly canceled my service. He warned me we may get disconnected and I though “He’ll no”. But getting disconnected was only because they immediately shut your phone off. I received an email confirming my service being discontinued as soon as I was off the phone with them.

DO NOT CALL ***-***-**** TO STOP SERVICE. CALL ***-***-**** INSTEAD.

Worst ever customer service

"I am posting why we r leaving verizon after being with you over 10 years. You hit strike 3 last night. I have a new phone under warranty, and was verified to be so. It was confirmed by tech support thru testing it was defective, so ok I get a new phone replacement. Here is where it gets dramatic. I saved all of my chats and printed every one of them out for reference. The drama begins,
Per chat on Nov 16, I am promised a new phone and is agreed it will be another brand per problems with that particular model phone, I didn't want to deal with again(per reviews everywhere found) ok, so a new phone is being shipped, and says so in chat. Then I get emails saying they r billing me for that "free" phone and I get those emails daily, they will cancel that phone if I do not pay. Then I chat again and am told to ignore, it is only computer generated, per on chat. Then the phone is canceled. Then I call and am told someone didn't follow thru and they "fixed" the issue, it is being shipped. No phone comes days later, and no email notices, so I call again. I am transfered to a supervisor, who says she approved it the right way and is being shipped. During those calls (2 of them) I am disconnected, and before that happened, I am promised they will call me back if that happens at the number I gave them. Never got any call backs, and had to start all over again. No phone coming again. So I go on chat. I am told they made an adjustment, and phone is now shipped. No phone coming again. Go on chat again and am now told I am not getting any phone replacement period, and that I should screen shot all those chat pages to her proving I am to get a new phone. I say you have copies of that chat, and everyone else there has read them, so can you. She gets nastier and sarcastic, so I tell her she is giving me a hard time, I do not want to argue and goodbye. Back on the phone I get transfered to a supervisor who tells me her name is Gracen and spelled it to me that way. Gives me a big speech on how her name will not be black marked and will make sure finally I get the phone and she approved the shipment. No phone, no email confirmations again. So I chat again and get someone who tells me the phone has been shipped. Then later that day I call verizon to ask about how I do some transfers on the phone, and I tell her I want to be ready for when the phone comes to know what to do. She says I will tell you when you should get it, she tells me it was never shipped. nor approved again. What is going on there? I bought a cover and screen protector from another place for a phone I am not getting. After checking all of my documentation, I find I have over 5 1/3 hours into chats and phone calls. We are done with verizon and their exceptionally poor customer service. I think you should also know I will be turning all documentations to consumer protection and the better business bureau and any other places they advise me to go to to file complaints. (This is the letter I wrote to them and they got even nastier.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT VERIZON STORE/ CUSTOMER SERVICE

"I was a new costumer at Verizon but I only had it for a FEW HOURS. Terrible customer service and in store service. They will give good affordable prices but after prices go WAY higher than they should. FAKE PEICES I DONT RECOMMEND YOU GET VERIZON.

Verizon is not different then At&T

"My son has been dealing with Verizon since Jan. 1019 . He purchased a HUM tracker for his vehicle and has since purchased a new vehicle which isn't compatible with it. Verizon has sent him 3 different HUMs and none of them work in his new vehicle. He has since gone with a different tracker. Every month Verizon has told him the service would be taken off his account and every month he's still being charged for it. So disgusted with Verizon, learning they are no different than the other companies trying to rip people off."

I think after 20+ years it's time to set sail

"Been 1 of those customers for 20+ years. I am real over there crapy customer service.
Called today to inquire about the new Samsung Note 10.
Tried to find out about pre order specials. They tell me we have a buy one get one or 450.00 back if you turn in your phone you currently have. Must be in perfect working order or it's worth nothing.
So I decided okay I will do the buy one get one. They lady says well to get the buy one get one. You need to open a new line.
Do we not pay enough for these plans and new phones that they need to constantly gouge us as customers daily ?
I've had enough!!!!!
After 20 years of flipping the bill so they can eat. And they want to **** every penny they can from us. PURE GREED on there part !!!!
So many fine prints to screw over the customer.
Stay away people Verizon claims they have the best service. You know at this point in my life if my phone doesn't ring one time I will accept that as a break in every day life.
It rings to much anyways.
I explained it all to the Service Representative and she was very nice and apologized for how they are. And said she understood.
Then about 4 hours later she called me. And I thought it was odd. She said she did some checking and she wanted to reach out and get me in contact with there department that handles long term relationships.

I was almost sold on that. Wow she really cares this is different.
So I get put on hold for 12:00 minutes I thinking this is another joke from Verizon. Another lady gets on the phone and she asks a bunch of questions. I finally said you guys called me.
Oh let me see what for. I don't see any reason we would have called you. Your account is in great standings with us. So I explain she said I'm sorry she transferred you to the wrong department.
I won't put you on hold and I will get you in touch with the right department.
All of a sudden Music started playing I was back on hold. Seriously!!!!! 15:00 more minutes goes by. And she returns to say I'm sorry but that department is very busy with business calls and are unable to talk to you now.
I lost it and it sealed the deal I am a gone customer.
I will start to look for a new provider and say goodbye to Verizon. They lost their last chance with me.
Hope a lot more people follow and we hit them hard in the pocket book.

OVERPRICED CRAP SERVICE!

"I have been with Verizon for years because my mother-in-laws home is remote and there are not many options for cell service there. But the problem is I live in Salt Lake City and they claim to have solid 4G LTE coverage for my area. In the past I would say that was true but these past few months the service has been getting incredibly unreliable with dropping calls to no data connection available. I tried calling support multiple times and they always pointed to my device being the issue and had me jump through multiple hoops to fix it. Nothing worked so I went and got a new S10+ and still having the issues as well as my wifes line. It is starting to look like it is their signal, but they claim all the towers are performing like they should. Has anyone really checked them or are they being lazy. Seriously time to look for another wireless carrier since these guys obviously do not care about fixing this issue."

Feel cheated

"I'm only doing this review in hopes of helping others. I chatted online to several reps to get pricing for two new lines, two new phones and an unlimited plan. I was given the price. After talking it over it was decided to get them. I chatted back several days later, confirmed the pricing and bought the phones. Once I received my new bill I noticed my plan was not changed to the new plan. To make a long story short even though I had copies of the chat record where I was quoted the price twice Verizon's reps would not stand good for the new plan being included in the price. They are saying that the three people involved made a mistake and gave me wrong pricing. I believe this is a scam and they do it to get you hooked then try to make you pay more later. I could understand one person making a mistake but not three. Please beware of this. "

Befooling and cheating at store - 3963 Lavista Rd. Tucker,GA 30084

" On June 16th,2019 we went to Verizon store located at “3963 Lavista Road, Tucker, GA 30084” to switch and add a new line to our existing plan and I bought a ‘Motorola G7’ phone, sealed in the box, for the new line. The representative ‘SHAZI’ attended us. After coming home, the new phone didn’t ring till next day and for about 48 hours the new phone didn’t work properly, and I missed all the calls and messages. I missed my phone Interview for a new job too.
Then on June 18th,2019 at about 5.30PM, I went back to the above-mentioned store, and two African American girls attended me. I explained my problem and requested to switch the phone. They argued that the problem was due to “do not disturb” feature as it is on, however, when they checked it the “do not disturb” feature was not making any difference whether it is on or off even then they kept on arguing that phone is OK, and asked me to pay $50 to switch the phone. I refused to pay as phone was defective, but they didn’t agree, and their behavior was rude and unexplainable.
The I asked to talk SHAZI, who attended us on first day, then they went and told something to SHAZI and after waiting for about 30 minutes SHAZI talked to me and checked the phone and said that SIM card is defective. She went to another counter and while talking with another female representative, she pretended as if she is changing the SIM, but she never changed it which I was watching continuously from a distance. She cheated me Infront of my eyes, and when I asked for the old SIM she laughed and said that she threw it and said that phone is working properly. I had no choice but to accept the phone.
After reaching home I faced the same problem. I called Verizon Customer service and talked to an agent. The agent told me that he has endorsed everything in the system and had waived off $50 charges too. He further told me to go to the concerned store and switch the phone and assured me that there will be no $50 charge.
Again, next day (June 19th,2019) my brother went to the concerned store at around 12.30PM and talked to them but their behavior was still the same and they refused to waive off the $50. When my brother agreed and asked to switch the phone with an ‘iPhone 6 plus’, the representative took out two ‘iPhone 6 plus from the boxes but both came out to be defective in-front of everyone. This proves that store is keeping defective phones and when customer complains they are asking $50 for stocking or something, I have no idea. The store harassed us at their best. They forced us to wait for a long time unnecessarily, be-fooled and cheated us.
Ultimately, on their terms and conditions, we paid $50 unnecessarily, and had to upgrade the phone for which we are paying more money. This is the horrible story of Verizon customer service and their store service located at 3963 Lavista Road, Tucker, GA 30084.

"Don't be fooled how they spin this. Be weary of this company apparently not all employees know what they're talking about they will change your account without letting you know, they sell you on phones and after 14days cgange Their agreement even though you have it in writing, once you're hooked they try to charge you later. We as a societee can change how they operate because numbers create the rules not companies and corporations.
Att is 1 of the items I can locate. They say my watch payment is $31 a month...and my 2 s10e phones(buy one get one)...which i ordered over the phone, i also have proof, they are charging me over $60 and it should be $30. When asked, each verizon rep, and it gets bad when you get transferred outside the US(which they do often, US people will tell you they are in the US, outside US, company policy states they're not allowed to tell you where they're at, ha google it) to someone who understands less apparently, comes up with a "new" reason why.
