"Hell with Printvenue,

Cheaters they are. They said 5 working days, I ordered on Sep 24th . They havent delivered anything till today. No reply , no email. Such a looser they are, I suggest you to be far away from them .  It happened many times with me , Very late delivery more than 12 to 15 days delivery of the Product.

"I have read all of the complaints and will say that I never really had any problems with my order or the delivery of the HDTV we purchased. I have not needed to call their customer service number until today. I will call World instead of their asian location.

Be very VERY careful to read their fine print if you have a Venue account. If you do not pay your balance IN FULL within 12 months they will begi charging you finance charges that even I as an accountant cannot explain. They have added over $750 to our account in two months in interest charges. Needless to say, this account is about to be paid off. If I get some good news from World I will re-post, otherwise BUYER BEWARE!

My story


I am a new and very unhappy Venue customer. My story begins toward the end of August 2009 when I first received their sales catalog out of the blue. I am college educated, have good credit and usually trust my judgment. Well, browsing through the catalog I was impressed even though some of the prices seemed a bit high. Feeling confident I both applied for a pre-approved card and ordered a 15.6 Compaq laptop. I placed the order on 2cnd of September, this item was intended to be a birthday gift for a friend (Oct. 3rd) who wanted but couldn't afford a laptop. Everything went well as I anxiously waited the 2 - 3 week suggested delivery time line. Assuming that it would be here around the 25th of Sept. Making a long story short, it's now almost November, two months after I placed the order and two payments later -- the laptop is still not here! I've been given the runaround by customer service reps, having called a multitude of times (8 times now at least) but to no avail. Each time when inquiring about the status of the laptop, I am told that it's either been back-ordered (3 times now), it was already shipped on the day I call to complain conveniently (2 times), they haven't gotten any status updates on my order (2 times) and on one occasion I was put on hold just to be hung up on. Keep in mind also when placing my initial order, at no time did the Venue.com website indicate that the item was out of stock. The exact laptop is still listed as of today (10/28/2009) and as one would assume available. I am at the end of my rope here and feel that I have been more than patient. Generally I am very easy going, level headed, giving person but not one to be taken advantage of, but I am feeling like a fool right now. All I want is the goods/products I've paid for. It's simply bad business to keep paying customers in limbo like this. I am still paying for this laptop even though I haven't yet received it, too afraid that my credit will be negatively affected if I stop paying. After writing this I am filing a complaint with the BBB.

"Hi there I seen your post about Venue.com and wonder if you have gotten anywhere with them?

I orderd a camera on Sept. 16th..after 3 wks nothing so I called they said it was back ordered till Oct 22nd and was gauranteed to be shipped that day. So I waited still nothing so I called back in the week of Oct 22nd they said it was on back order again until Nov 5th..Well I called the 5th and they said it did not have a tracking number so it could mean one of 2 things..1. It was shipped but hasn't been updated yes with tracking number or 2. It was placed on back order again but hadn't been updated with the new date.
I argued with them because of the prior 2 times being gauranteed..asked for superviser..said they dont have one. Threatened to report them you name it and they said call back in a couple days...so I have been calling non stop sincesat. the 7th and guess what? Says they have unuasually high call volume and estimated wait is 10 min..after being on hold half an hr. the call disconnects. Has done this since sat.
Im so furious at this point..I dont want to make any more payments. I sent a complaint to BBB.

"I actually cancelled my order with venue.com today after a month of waiting with the same backorder crap as well. The Customer Service Rep told me that since it was after 30 days it would have to go to their corporate office. Furthermore I have now been billed for an item I haven't even recieved yet. Te rep told me to make the minimum payments since it's going to take 1 -2 billing cycles for this to go through and I should get all my money back. I don't buy this and unfortunately I saw all the complaints about this company after I placed the order. I just filed a complaint with the BBB. I'm waiting for their response, but I've heard that it may be neccessary to call the actually credit, World Financial Bank. I'm going to try this tommorow and I'm also going to see if I should get a lawyer as well. "

"DO NOT BUY FROM VENUE.COM!!

After several months, and threats to file a complaint with the California STate Attorney Generals Office, they FINALLY resolved my issue! And who I mean by "they" is not Venue, rather World Financial Bank who handles this companies credit card program.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RESOLVE ANYTHING WITH VENUE DIRECTLY. CONTACT WORLD FINANCIAL BANK AND FILE A FORMAL DISPUTE. YOU WILL NEVER GET ANYWHERE WITH VENUE.

THEIR "CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT", AND I USE THE TERM LOOSELY, IS SIMPLY A CALL CENTER LOCATED IN THE PHILLIPINES, NOT THE U.S.!! YOU ARE ONLY GOING TO GET CANNED, WRITTEN REPLIES TO ANYTHING YOU ASK!

Venue is not a retailer - they are a clearing house for orders that they then place with many different companies. Do not think that the items they sell come from them. All they do is print a nice catalog, build up a web page, sucker in a bank, World in this case, and sit back and take orders. I believe, TRULY BELIEVE, they are nothing more than a legalized scam.

"Its been been 2 weeks since i cancelled my item before it was shipped. The charge is still on my account. They said some one would be in touch with me within 72 hours 144 hours ago. To top it off. They actually tried to sell me some thing else because i had $81.00 left of my $1650 credit limit that the $1539 balance used was never shipped or processed!"

"Along with several others I made the mistake of (trying)to order a 32" HDTV from Venue. After being notified 3 different times the item was on backorder and several e-mails to customer service and trying to reach customer service by phone to cancel the order with no response back from Venue customer service I checked into complaints against Venue to find I am only one of several with the same complaint. Venue is a joke and they must have a non-existent customer service department. I too am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will put this same information on as many sites for complaints against Venue. "

"Every warning and complaint and bad thing said by everyone else here is true. I truely wish I had researched before being sucked into their black hole of no return.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, so we will see where that leads to.

PLEASE INFORM EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT THIS COMPANY IS NOT TO BE USED. EVEN IF THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THEM, MAKE SURE THEY DON'T. MAYBE A STRONG WORD OF MOUTH CAMPAIGN CAN END THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL.

addtl information: It is now July 10th. They fianlly responded to the BBB complaint that I filed. I did refuse the shipped item exactly 1 day before the limit the FTC says they have to deliver by.

Now I am fighting to get the thing removed from my account. I too am absorbing the shipping costs just to get this over with and cut their card up. I got the 1 to 2 billing cycle speach too, and have let the BBB know that this is unsatisfactory.

They had the audacity during one of my phone calls to them, while I was arguing trying to get this settled and after I had refuse ddelivery, if I would like to order anything else! How stupid can they get?

I ask the people how they can work at a place where they have to lie to everyone they talk to but they just start mumbling and wont answer. I have been calling them about every three days or so and will continue to do so until this is settled.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't use this company or let anyone you know use them.

Another update: July 22nd - just got another notice from the BBB. Venue has agreed to remove not only the item from my account but the shipping as well. They are still holding to the 1 to 2 cycles for this to happen, so I will continue to call them until it is finally over. I can't wait to cut up their card.

On my account page, it shows another payment coming up on August 9th. The customer service person assured me that I will not be getting a paper copy of this and that I do not have to make a payment. I told him I would call him when I got the paper copy in the mail. I may have to make one more payment before they get it cleared up. Anymore and I will again get the BBB involved (and told customer service I am considering legal action as well)

When I first started looking them up, their rating on the BBB site was a "B". I was just their reading the final disposition, and now their rating has slipped to a "C+". Their complaint total has gone up considerably as well.

Anyone who is still having trouble with Venue, Please consider letting the BBB know. File a complaint, its easy and you have nothing to lose. If enough people do that, maybe we can all shut the scum down.

"DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I MADE A HUGE ERROR IGNORING ALL THE BAD REVIEWS. THE COMPANY CHARGES YOU ABOUT 50% PLUS OVER NORMAL RETAIL. THEY HAVE A HIDDEN BUT BLATENTLY OBVIOUSE ADDITIONAL FEE ON YOUR INVOICE THAT THEY DON'T EXPLAIN WHY. THEY SHIP RANDOMLY AND IT'S BEEN 1 MONTH AND I STILL DON'T HAVE MY HEADPHONES. CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS NO WAY OF CHECKING ON YOUR ORDERS WITH THE "SHIPPER" UNLESS TRACKING NUMBER IS ISSUED SUPPOSEDLY. I ORDERED MAY 4TH AND ITS MAY 26TH AND MY HEADPHONES DON'T EVEN HAVE A TRACKING NUMBER YET. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH POOR SERVICE IN MY LIFE ANYWHERE. YOU WILL BE STUNNED AS TO HOW MUCH THEY BS YOU WITH EXCUSES LIKE THEY WILL UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT IN 2 DAYS, ANOTHER WILL SAY 3-5 DAYS, ANOTHER 24 HOURS. "This company (Venue.com)is apparently undergoing some severe "operational problems", as per the mounting complaints by various customers. They have the most dismal customer service department I've ever dealt with!

My very first order, they sent the wrong model number of an air conditioner I ordered! I was able to return the item, however, even though this error was plainly there fault, they told me it would be "two billing cycles" (two months) before it would be removed from my statement.

In the interim, I ordered an HDTV. The unit came to my door within a few days, but I discovered it was deceptively advertised as a 26" unit. The actual screen size was 22", and thus too small for my needs.

Now, because they've taken so long in deleting this silly air conditioner from my statement, I find I am unable to purchase a larger HDTV, due to this air conditioner still being listed as a deduction from my credit limit.

One might reasonably assume a company would make an extra effort to promptly remove any such item that would inhibit a future purchase. Not so with Venue. Sending them emails has proven useless, as well, since they simply don't respond.

I now find myself thinking I better just keep this annoyingly small HDTV, not wanting to further extend the dodged emails and phone calls I have thus far had to cope with. The whole mess leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I certainly would NOT recommend Venue as a "reputable company". BUYER BEWARE!

WOW Ha Ha Ha Just making a few spot checks, I could buy the exact same merchandise from leading national stores, mark them up 30% and still have a lower price. This INCLUDED items they had marked with special discount below their regular prices. In addition, any store that offers the deferred interest and accrues it from the day of purchase is automatically considered by me to be a fly-by-night business."

"Venue customer service is unsatisfactory and I will never remcommend them to anyone because they take no action for your complaints, their executive office/customer service phone line made me wait for an hour and I was still unable to talk to anybody after waiting for 1 hour. They will never ship your order right and they will charge you for something you did not order. "
