"My recent experience with making a purchase from ValueFind was one of the most frustrating online purchases I have had. Over the weekend I placed an order for "1178mm Fibrax BMX LOWER Gyro Brake Cable - Fits Odyssey, SST, Fishbone, Gyro + Gyro 2 detanglers / rotor / spinner / gyro (1178mm Cable). Fast Shipping! FREE VALVE CAP UPGRADE WORTH $4.99!" which has the product code 78895962 and was listed as "In Stock and Ready to Ship!" with cost $6.99 and an additional $9.99 shipping +$1 to cover lost packages (yes the shipping cost more than the item itself, but that was not my biggest problem with the order). The issue came from the fact that my billing and shipping addresses were different. I have seen online vendors take precautions with this before to avoid fraud, but the way ValueFind handled it was horrendous. Nowhere during the purchase did they mention that using two addresses could cause any delays or require additional verification.

To begin, I was never sent any confirmation through email that my order had been placed or was being processed. The first correspondence from ValueFind came later that day (Sunday) with the title "Holding for Review: {product name listed above}" and stated the following:

"We noticed that your package will be shipping to a different address than that of the credit card owner. In order to protect every cardholder, we must follow strict guidelines in order to reduce fraud. This screening process can take 1-2 business days, at which point your order will be released for shipping. If it is acceptable that we ship to the confirmed Billing Address of the credit card, please respond to this message, as that is the fastest solution. Otherwise, to help expedite this review, you can assist us by replying to this e-mail with a bit more information. Please provide a valid phone number that we can call to speak with the cardholder. And please describe the relationship between the BILLTO and SHIPTO address."

I immediately responded to this email explaining my situation and why my addresses didn't match, but I got no response to this. Their next correspondence came Tuesday and was titled "Your Order Was Voided: {product name}" and said:

"The address information on the credit card used did not match your billing/shipping address. We apologize, but due to the high amount of fraud received, it is our policy to void these transactions to protect the cardholder. If this is in error, please contact us to resolve."

I responded again, pleading that they don't cancel my order and that I had already explained the address discrepancy. This time they responded by telling me that only the Account Manager could reinstate the order and he had been contacted. I waited a couple days before emailing back to check the order status, at which point they told me the Account Manager was out of town and that I would have to resubmit the order. At this point I had enough. It was almost a week later than I had made the purchase and I was back to square one. Not only was the customer service unhelpful and the management very unprofessional, but their advertisement IN THE PRODUCT NAME "Fast Shipping!" was a complete lie. Perhaps I found the only pitfall in their ordering process, but considering the other poor reviews that this company has and lack of positive reviews, I think it is safe to say that anyone looking to make a purchase from them should just STAY AWAY.

"ValueFind aka TRA Innovations cancelled my order after 10 days and after more than doubling the price.

On 5/5/14 I ordered a 4 port USB to serial adapter, SIIG part number JU-HS4011-S2 for $28.99. The checkout page has a "Shipping Insurance" option labeled "Yes - Protect Me from lost carrier packages" that I selected for an extra $1. Shipping itself was $11.58, for a total of $41.57. For some reason I was billed a total of $44.48. I never received an itemized invoice or even an order number.

The website stated "Availability: In Stock and Ready to Ship!" and I received an email the same day stating "Your order has finished processing and is ready for shipment. Delivery will be made in 3-7 business days. A tracking # will be posted to your PayPal.com transaction page (and e-mailed to you) usually within 72 hours." There is also a page on their website that is supposed to show the tracking number for an order.

On 5/12/14, with no tracking number showing anywhere, I used the Contact Us form on their website to request a tracking number. I received a reply on 5/15/14 stating "It looks like your package was damaged in transit. As such, it cannot be reshipped to you. Therefore, I have authorized accounting to issue you a FULL refund." I did receive a full refund.

The product is still listed on their website as "In Stock and Ready to Ship!", but is now $61.99.
