"Never in my life have I encountered such terrible customer service from a website than my experience at UniqueFengShui.com, apparently also known as Seeds of Light Enterprise. And apparently, I am not the only one.

My order was dated on Thursday, 3/27. I paid for 2-day shipping, $25.50, for my $300+ order from the website. It did not arrive until ONE WEEK later (today, 4/3). On top of that, when it finally did arrive, I was told by my mailman that I owed more money to cover for insufficient shipping charges. Now, I do not know if Unique Feng Shui calculated shipping wrong when paying for the label online, but the fact that I have to pay out of my pocket on top of a $30+ shipping fee that I did not even receive on time is ridiculous.

On top of that, when I called to raise the issue, I was told to e-mail them the information and a photograph of the box and that I would be refunded the shipping cost. So I do so. Response? My shipment was not shipped out until the following Monday "because of 2 items that were out of stock that were coming in on Friday afternoon." This is an internal problem, not my problem. I did not even receive any notification of this. If items are on backorder, I should be notified, instead of waiting an extra 5 days for a package I paid over $30 for expedited shipping on. What is the point if regular shipping probably would have gotten my package to me around the same time?

On top of all of this shipping nonsense, upon going through the items, I realized that 3 of the items I paid for were completely different from the pictures on the site. I called again to ask about the discrepancy, only to be told that they were out of stock of the ones I wanted. If you are out of stock of a product, in what universe is it okay to send out a completely different product without even letting the customer know?

Obviously, the "customer service" girl who answered the phone was unable to answer any pertinent questions, or even deal with customers at all, and when I asked for a manager, she refused to give me any information and kept telling me to e-mail the general e-mail address repeatedly.

As a company owner myself, this is no way to handle your customers. By saying that there is no manager or manager e-mail address, not providing any contact information or names, and persistently telling me to e-mail the general catch-all email address… how does this make sense? And then, because I am clearly unhappy with the service (or complete lackthereof) and mention how I plan to review them accordingly, I get hung up on, and when calling back, they do not answer my calls at all. Instead, they send me a hastily written, typo-ridden e-mail telling me to "handle [my]self according to the situation" and that I "do not need to threaten" their company "for bad reviews," insinuating that I committed some sort of "violence"… it is truly unbelievable. They explicitly told me they are "an honest company," (their words, not mine), but I find that very questionable at this point.

I initially was upset by the shipping and product problems, but at this point, the terrible service was what truly compelled me to let people know. This company needs actually capable customer service representatives because I have no idea how they have been functioning with this kind of service. I am certainly never associating myself with this kind of ~business~ again and I truly warn others about this.

Obviously I am NOT the only unhappy customer, based on several folks with uncannily similar experiences who hve reviewed UniqueFengShui.com / Seeds of Light Enterprises, Inc. on Yelp, Better Business Bureau, Companynamesucks.com, Peopleclaim.com, and Scambook.com (the fact that they are even listed on a couple of these sites… seriously… should have done my research first.) Had to do some actual digging to find the well-hidden negative reviews, so kudos for that, I guess.

"This company and their products are just great! I had them ordered to gift them to some friends and they just loved them! The most important part of all this is that they got to me on time and the products are just so fine and perfect quality. I just wanted to write a quick review from a happy customer like me because they deserve it. Customer service is great as well it seems that they try their best to help you out. Plus, they have a new and improved website which is www.uniquefengshui.com which is great and full of information for the cures. I will be recommending this company to many of my friends."

"Vivian needs to consider restaffing. She is a concerned owner. However, when I wrote her back, someone named Paula replied. I did all that THEY asked as to customer order comments about delivery concerns, etc. a few weeks ago. Vivian kindly wrote to ask for another address. That next order was never processed, so I had to write them via the online form and a separate e-mail and got no response. After almost two weeks I wrote them, because the gifts ordered would not arrive on time. I called and spoke to Vivian and she promised then and by e-mail, as before, that we would not be billed. Paula then replied to e-mials forwarded for her ignorant information, as to the sequence of events. Why did she reply to e-mails to Vivian (Marcela) anyway? A promise is a promise, yet the bank was still billed and contacted due to cowardly threats by Paula to refer the amount to a collection agency for merchandise orders never processed or received. I have their IP address too, and I do not care about them reneging on the e-mail list. Paula cannot even write a decent letter, so her sorry, common lack of ethics really detract from the customer service efforts of Paula, Lauren et al. The Asian friends who were to receive the gifts will never get them, so we got them a book instead. To be fair to the helpful staff that addressed my concrns about the post office as their only delivery option. I prefer not rating this review. Neither am I discouraging anyone from buying from them, unless they interact with anyone except Paula. They never received a "ton of e-mails", just replies and forwards to information asked and an expectation of followup and NOT being billed for merchandise never processed and never received. I contacted the bank, and I was told that only of they try to collect funds will they act on our behalf, since we have proof of the events. Who bills someone three weeks later for an order that the company CANCELLED and any order that was NEVER processed, when it would arrive too late anyway? "

"The order was OK except two items; the three legged frog was not the same one as in the photo online. And the wealth wind chime came untied as I removed it from the box for inspection, and one strand fell to the floor and that's when I realized the bells were not brass as described. I emailed as instructed, no response as of 4 days later. You see you must have a return number, and basically get permission to return the items. So I called and spoke to Vivian,got permission, w/o a return #. The women on the phone apparently she can't emotionally handle someone asking for the owner in a firm steady voice, she hung up on me and proceeds to avoid my calls. I did receive a email from Lauren saying no refunds. I no longer trusted these women, I returned the items return receipt requested ($13.00). It took 3 phone calls and over a month to get the items exchanged.... same 3 legged frog, and totally different wind chime than the one I ordered (no bells). I'll accept these items reluctantly because I am not willing to deal with people like this....ignorant on how to deal with the customers,refusing to accept responsibility for misrepresentation of products, lack of customer service, condescending attitude when you point out their errors,and very very unprofessional. My experience with these women is that they are very arrogant. If you are ordering simple items, things that can't really be messed up go ahead order. But nothing more. Oh and they don't send you any shipping confirmation either. You have to do all the research on your order after you receive the order confirmation."
