"Bought an electric dryer from Ultimate Electronics. The sales staff was helpful. The dryer was to be delivered on that sunday. Saturday night at 9pm I recieved a call to confirm delivery on sunday for a gas dryer, I informed the person on the phone that we purchased an electric dryer, he said "no problem, we have that, we'll be there on sunday between 8-10am". Sunday morning at 8:30 am recieved a call from the delivery people that the dryer was not in the warehouse and would not be delivered. I'm 6 months pregnant and it's diffucult to haul laundry to a laundry mat. I also have a job that I cannot leave during the week. I'm incredibly disappointed with Ultimate Electronics and will NEVER purchase another thing from them again. "

"I bought a JVC camcorder from here. I told the sales person exactly what I was looking for which was a camcorder with stabilization, sd card compatible, face recognition and quality still prints. He showed me the JVC GZMS 120 and claimed it was the only camcorder they had in stock with all of those features. He even explained in detail how some of the features worked, after getting home and trying it out I was disappointed to find that the only feature it had that I asked for was sd card compatibility. When I returned to the store I was informed that I would have to pay an additional $30.00 in order to return it. The salesperson even tried to sell me a more expensive camcorder making more promises on the quality and features that it in fact did not have, she even went as far as claiming that all of their cameras had "cell phone quality unless I spent $1000.00 on what they had to offer". Unfortunately it wasn't until this time that I looked around and noticed the empty store and commissioned sales people standing around waiting for some sucker to walk in. I asked to speak to a supervisor so that I could explain that I was misled into buying their most expensive camcorder available at the time, I had been straight out lied to about every aspect of this product. It did not do one bit of good. Its a waste of time and money to deal with these people and I will not be doing any further business with them ever. If I would have taken the time to look them up before hand I probably wouldn't have taken the chance considering there is nothing good that can be found on their business ethnics anywhere."

"I ordered a 42" Toshiba LCD TV that was on sale earlier this month, and after nearly 3 full weeks, it hasn't arrived yet. I'm completely disgusted with Ultimate Electronics' poor customer service and will take my business elsewhere."

"I went to Ultimate to get my $80 back for not using the 5 year warranty (paid $160). They refused to give me my money except for an instore credit which I have no use for. I am in the process of small claims. They specifically lied to me and now they tell me the company went out of business. It is a scam. I will never do business with UE again."

"I purchaded a new Mitsubishi WD-62628 62" DLP HDTV from these guys on 11/22/05. After owning it for 2 mos. and 10 days, the set would no longer turn on. It's been going on 3 months now without a T.V. and 2 going on 3 attempts to fix and still no usable set.

On 3/6/06 I asked Ultimate Electronics to exchange this lemmon and they said they would do nothing for me.

"we purchased a 65" Mitsubishi HDTV, which in the beginning had a habit of shutting itself down, not off, but the picture went down. We had to shut the device off and turn it back on. It did appear to resolve itself.
It began to do this after a year and a couple of months, contacted Ultimate Elec, they sent out a tech, he did nothing, as he wanted to get home on a Friday afternoon. He said Mitsubishi couldn't be contacted until the following week, my husband called them immed. they sent out a network card to try to make changes on it's internal programming; That didn't help. Another couple of weeks to ever hear back from Ultimate Elec and they were taking the device to their shop; after lengthy discussions that involved us requesting a loaner TV then another couple of weeks for them to find one to loan, they took the TV.
The TV was 'in the shop' for nearly 2 months, it was returned yesterday and it immediately began to do the same thing. My husband had been told there was something that had to be replaced in the unit, it should have been fine. The problem was worse than it was when we sent it out with them.
Now, they have to send out another technician to actually see the problem happen, since they never saw it (how did they come to replace anything if they never saw the problem?), then they have to decide the next course of action!
What ever happened to customer service?
We have a television for which we paid a few thousand dollars (including extended warranty) and we aren't able to watch it. On top of all that, Ultimate Elec or whomever their contracting repair company is, doesn't feel they should have to loan a device while ours is out. I believe they simply said to watch another TV we might have!
Again I ask, what happened to customer service?!!
To this point, we have no operating television, not much hope of that happening soon, and so very, very unsatisfied!

"I must say I'm so glad to see that the store in my area is going under (closing down). I went to buy a camera for a upcoming Hawaii trip and I decided on a Sony F-828. They said they didn't have the camera in stock but it would be coming in on their truck on Monday. Seeing that it was Saturday night I thought this wasn't a bad deal. They said just stop by on my way home on Monday and I could pick it up. Well I called on Monday from work and no one seemed to know what I was talking about so I asked for my rep who had sold it to me and he got on the phone and said that it just hadn't been loaded off the truck yet. So I went to the store and waited for almost 30 minutes for them to tell me it wasn't on the truck. I later found out they don't even have a way of knowing what's on the truck (how do they keep track of their own inventory then). Anyway the sales guy said that it would be in on the Thursday truck for sure. Well it wasn't. It wasn't on the Saturday truck either. I called the main Corporate Ultimate Electronics in CO and got a lot of we are so sorry this happened it will be on the Monday truck. I called Monday to find out it had be shipped to the wrong store which was 30 miles away. I was leaving on my trip on Tuesday so I went ahead and drove the 30 miles. Upon arriving I went to the customer counter and said I was there to pick up my order which had been sent to their store by mistake. They looked it up and said that they had received the demo camera in that they had sent out to be repaired after someone had broke it but that I could have that one instead. I said are you kinding me I'm not paying $899.00 for a broken camera that someone repaired. I ended up getting my refund which took over 2 months to get back on my credit card and that was only after I called my credit card to report it as fraud.
I bought my camera from Best Buy and had it shipped next day which I got at 9:45 am on Tuesday.

Thanks Best Buy and piss off Ultimate Electronics I'm glad to see you lossing your ass to Best Buy

"Our 3 year old 36 inch panasonic tv stopped working a month ago; we had purchased an extended warranty when we got the tv. It has been a month since we first reported the problem and we still dont have a tv !!!
It took them 10 days to send a tech to look at it. He could not fix the tv in home so we had to way another week for them so send a crew to take the tv to their shop.
It should only have taken a couple of days but there was a mix up with scheduling the pickup and when they did not show up on the date they were supposed to come I called them and they said they did not have me scheduled !!!
They had to reschedule the pick up.
Now after 4 days in the shop they still had not looked at it. It is very frustrating when you deal with people who should care about customer satisfaction but do not.

We are asked to rate the service we get...It is LESS then poor!!!

"This company has horrible customer service. It seems to be typical for phone calls to be promised and not returned at all levels from the store management to the customer care response team. A quick check of BBB shows the same complaint. I'm not even that angry over what they would or would not do, just that they said they'd deal with a problem and never did (or did by ignoring it until it quit bugging them)."
