"Package arrived with bulbs floating in nylon web bag in a soft mailer envelope. Obviously, the bulbs had been beaten around during transit and arrived bruised with the strong odor of rotten garlic. Even more concerning was their small size and poor overall condition. Several have rotten centers. Only about a half or less are minimally suitable for regular plantings. Due to their small size, most will go into spring "green" garlic production. The 94% viability is a serious misleading. I understand that many garlic growers are having quality control issues this year, but reputable ones are not selling and shipping bad products. Luckily I can delve deeper into my own seed from my plantings last year. Was looking forward to the new bulbs, but alas. "

"I ordered onion sets in September for fall planting and was informed immediately they wouldn't be shipped until Nov. 4, which is a month past first frost here in Northern IL. (OCT 1-OCT 10). I was pleasantly surprised when I received them Oct 13. They were quite small so I guessed they harvested early. So I planted (about half) yesterday (the 14th) in cold frames. (We have yet to see anything near a frost!) I hope to see them sprout before I mulch for the Winter. The frames are in a warm location next to the South wall of my garage. If I can hold the rest dormant until Spring I'll have early sets for green onions.

"I'm planning for next year's garden and was looking for Minnesota Midget Melon Seeds which I found at Urban Farmer along with six other seeds that I didn't know I wanted.
So today my package arrived.
First off I was so happy that Urban Farmer sent me email updates all along the process I really appreciate that because I'm excited and I want to know how things are going.
I like that the seed packets are nice paper packets with all the info I will ever need to have a successful growing season.
I will be back to find more seeds I never knew I needed.
