Bad seed and bad counting

"First order I got about 30% of the order and all packs that had expired. Then they sent the wrong count of replacement seeds and they were the same package with a sticker label stuck over the old lable saying they are expired as well. These people either can't count or don't care and they are selling bad seed to people for high prices. Bullsh*t all the way around. "

Top Notch Customer Service

"I received 2 lbs. of seed potatoes on Monday, 11-14-22. Sadly, one of them had been bruised in transit and began "leaking" on the other potatoes. I took a picture and emailed Urban Farmer explaining the situation. Jessica responded within two hours! She apologized for the inconvenience, (not her fault) and offered to send replacements. The replacements arrived two days later on Wednesday, 11-16-22, in great condition. This is, hands-down, the best customer service I've received from a seed company. Most of the time, I'd have to wait days or even weeks for a reply. Thank you, Jessica, for the great service. I'll be coming back because of you."

Lies, lies, and more lies.

"Here's a summary of what happened that I sent to Urban Farmer:

It just seems like really bad business. This is my first order from you guys. I received an email on 9/20 saying everything was on schedule, but you tell me there are delays. You sent me this on 10/6. It is the end of day on 10/14 that I write this email.


Hi Malcolm. We had hoped to begin shipping to your zone in mid September but due to a few unforeseen delays with heat and drought this year, we are getting those zones out right now. Your order should arrive in about a week. I apologize for the delay. If it's too late for you, I understand and can easily cancel and refund your order.

Hello again Malcolm!

It looks like you ordered some delicious garlic to plant in your fall garden! We wanted to let you know that our farmers are busy growing and drying your garlic now! Everything is on schedule for garlic to start shipping late September into October!

It's not about a refund, it's about getting this in the ground early. I've had issues getting plants in late in the past, and I'm spending quite a bit of money on this. If I were to request a refund and order from one of your competitors it still wouldn't get here for another week or two. That's no longer an option. I was expecting to get this in the ground before October and here it is close to November. I'm not sure I will be recommending this site to my friends or any of the others in the group of 1100 gardeners I run.

I forgot - but Urban Farmer DID NOT

"Back in June I ordered some garlic from Urban Farmer, but it wasn't in stock and ready to ship. Last week I got an email about my garlic order being instock and ready to ship out. I couldn't remember even ordering it and thought I was getting free garlic bulbs. It arrived today and the paperwork that accompanied it had the original order date which I looked up and found the transaction. I had completely forgotten about this but Urban Farmer didn't and promptly sent it to me when they could. Excited to plant the cloves and let them over-winter. Thanks Urban Farmer!"

Great Customer Service !!

"I bought seeds for next spring, and had some questions about my order, they replied to me within an hour same day. The woman was very friendly, and knowledgeable, and answered all my questions, and even complemented the photos of my garden I had sent. They have a very large selection of seeds it’s a gardeners paradise. My order was shipped in just a few days, I received my package today, it was very packaged well, and had my order printed out with a Thank you note included.
I’m very pleased and decided to order more last night.
I highly recommend Urban Farmer !
In my opinion they are 5⭐️ Business I’m 100% satisfied

Disappointed

"The Romanian garlic bulbs were VERY small. We only recieve 3 bulbs and the cloves are so small I doubt if we will get much of a crop. The other bulbs were okay. It doesn't seem that we got a value for the product we received. We are very disappointed ☹️"

Zero Customer service

"As per their instructions, I have emailed urban farmer with a problem about my order. I emailed on 9/27/22, and as of 9/30, they have not responded. Their voice mail says the best way to contact them is email. The voice mail also says you can leave a message and they will return your call when they get a chance, but then the v/m ends by saying the box is full and not taking messages. I’m just gonna have to do a charge back on my credit card. Tough luck on their part, because I’m not paying to send the seeds back that I did receive. If they are not going to communicate with me regarding a part of my order that I did NOT receive, then my only remedy is a charge back on my credit card. They must lose a lot of money this way if I had to guess. Oh well. "

Hard shipping?

"I’ve never had a bad experience with UF so I’m guessing it’s more UPS but the box was delivered ripped open and seeds falling out. I ordered 25 pounds of fall cover crop. No clue how much was lost. The seed bag had a half dollar size hole in it and the box looked like it had been sent through a tornado. It was raining so the box and seeds got wet. Not too pleased overall. "
