Beware

"I was quoted $259.99 to repair my phone screen so I told them to go ahead and repair it. When I went to pick it up I was told it would be $298.99. The associate told me they made a mistake. They called the boss and he was unwilling to make it right. He said my choices were to pay the higher price or put my old screen back on. I do not recommend doing business here. This type of service is dishonest and wrong. Purchase number S21606027"

They ripped me off and lost my items

" Took my laptop in to be fixed got it back minus items and still broken, they refuse to refund so I will be leaving negative feedback everywhere I can for this company, don't take your stuff here."

They didn’t even look at it

"I made a appointment with them because I could not get my iPad to charge and only 1 cable would even go in the charging port. The person who came out. I showed him my iPad and the cord not going in correctly. He nodded and said I needed a new charging cord which would be 900.00 in parts not counting labor. Now this is a 2016 iPad Pro so I understood it might have gone bad and a new iPad Pro would be better than repairing this old one. I waited until the new 2022 IPad Pros came out. On 12/4/22 I started having the same issue with my Gen 9. It is under Apple Care so they sent me to Best Buy for repair. In under 3 seconds the guy looked into the charging port and said your charging cable is broken and their are tiny pieces in here preventing a cable to go in. He went back and then came out and showed us the pieces. It made me wonder about my iPad Pro the old one. So we took it to him and sure enough he found pieces in the charging port there also. Took it out and it charged fine. So because they didn’t even pickup my iPad or take it to the back to look at the charging port I am out 1300.00 for a iPad I didn’t need to buy. Be very careful if you use this company"

Go to Best Buy or Batteries Plus...

"Waited 2 weeks for the battery for my Samsung note 9 to arrive. Received a call from U break I fix at 7369 West bell road in Peoria and was told the battery was in and replacement would take 45 minutes. Brought my phone in on Saturday 9/17/22 at 13:00. Nice fellow with blue hair tells me it'll take 4 hours and that the phone is under warranty, no charge. I returned at 17:00.
Blue hair tells me they're just finishing up (lie) and I wait in their retail store for another 30 minutes. He's back, tells me that they haven't received authorization from Samsung, they have requested it 2 hours ago. He said, Authorization is not likely to happen today so I can pick up my phone Sunday, maybe Monday.
Absolutely, Not an option! I need my phone for work, I need it today. I offered to forgo the warranty and simply pay for a battery placement for my phone. He says No. The only option was to hold my phone ransom.
Now I'm upset and I asked to speak to the manager. In walks the condescending, arrogant, Derek R. AKA Store Manager. I explained the situation, pointed out we were near the 5 and a 1/2 hour mark and again I offered to forgo the warranty and pay for battery replacement. Derek's only reasonable solution was to remove the new battery (installed hours ago) and put my old battery back in the phone. Bear in mind, the Phones imei number was used to confirm the phones warranty status which is why they went forward with the battery replacement.
Now my head is about to explode and I'm pretty sure the Fword came out of my mouth. Raising my voice, I said, I don't care what you do, I want my phone back! Derek goes behind the screen and with a great deal of sarcasm, he says, "Oh, you'll get your phone back all alright." Derek and the blue haired boy began to giggle like 2 school girls. It would appear that upsetting customers was hilarious.
I waited another 10 minutes for Derek to remove the new battery and Put the old one back in my phone. He comes back out to the front desk, slides the phone toward me, And says with a grin, and more sarcasm, " It really is too bad, we just got that confirmation from Samsung."
Derek deliberately removed the new battery and replaced it with the old battery Even after receiving the long awaited Email from Samsung. Really! Yes, really. Disgusted, I simply left.
I am 61 years old, a female and a United States Army Veteran. I may be old, but I'm not stupid. If Derek feels at liberty to treat me with such disrespect and disregard, you can be sure he's doing it to others. This level of ego and incompetence baffles the mind. This disrespectful kid is a blight to the company and it would serve them well to check his bad behavior.

Great repair service for my Samsung S21 Ultra damaged screen

"I had an accident with my Samsung S21 Ultra on Tuesday that caused the screen to chip and severely crack. I called Ubreakifix on Wednesday, described my problem, and set up an appointment for a Thursday repair. When I arrived at the Meridian, Idaho store late Thursday morning, the tech checked the phone, including running a full diagnostic scan to check for any other problems. That reassured me about the post-accident situation with my phone, but also provided a "base of information" that could be rechecked after they repaired the phone. I was quoted a late afternoon completion for the replacement of my screen (plus complementary battery replacement). I was not able to get back to the store until after 7pm, but the phone repair had been completed, and another full diagnostic was still running to assure all was well with the phone AFTER the repair. (On this evening, the store remained open until 8pm, with techs continuing to work on their various other repair tasks) I also bought a liquid glass protection for my phone, which Ubreakifix applied for me.

All-in-all, I am VERY pleased with the repair work done on my phone by Ubreakifix. I am aware that this type of screen repair requires considerable knowledge, specialized tools, and careful work to open and close the case on the phone, and is not for amateurs. There is absolutely NO evident damage to the case due to the repair, and the new glass screen is immaculate! All functions of the phone work perfectly!

This may or may not be the "cheapest" repair ... I did not do any comparison shopping as our options in Boise are not that great. But I consider the work done, as expediently and well as it was done, to be well worth the fee charged.

Still Waiting……..

"It’s been a month and a half since they had my MacBook Pro every time I call they would tell me if would be a week before they will know something the billing amount keeps getting higher and higher, I had to call the Mishawaka store to see what is going on with my MacBook they told me to give them until a week to finish I will give them Monday to give me my stuff…… sent in my laptop 6/21 and here it it 7/23 waste of time I have had really important things to do and I couldn’t get them done because they are taking too long with my stuff. "

"Called to request quote and was told my repair would take 2-3 days. Dropped off my computer and was told 6-7 days. As of today it has been 14 days with no end in sight. They do not answer their phone. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. What a mistake I made using this company. "

ubreakifix / asurion "Samsung Authorized Service Center" is a SCAM

"DO NOT BRING YOUR PHONE HERE FOR WARRANTY SERVICE! I brought my Samsung here under warranty and they had it for THREE WEEKS! During that time I received no emails, no calls. I had to hound them and make multiple in-person trips for info. I had to ASK for a receipt on day 9 - they'd given me nothing! During that time the Samsung warranty expired and uBreakiFix says they can't fix it! Samsung says no ticket was ever entered thus there's no record of me ever bringing it in! Now I'm on the hook to pay cash for the repair/replacement! STAY AWAY!"

Do Not Have Them Do Samsung Warranty Work

"They use aftermarket parts for official Samsung warranty work and some features of warranty such as water resistance will no longer be honored if they do official warranty work. Techs seem inept and unable to answer most basic questions."

"Extremely long waiting time, and they charged me an additional $120 for a service performed without my approval! Unbelievable!
I waited for about 1.5 hours in line to pick up my phone. Even worse, there were only a few chairs so you have to STAND for the entire duration. I made an appointment but it didn’t save me any time. There was only one staff at the reception desk and it was very very slow. They should at least have more chairs for customers to sit in while waiting. The experience was so terrible.

"I had a piece of lightning cable that broke off in my iphone se. Jamaal at the Brandywine store remove the piece in about 3minutes. I was surprised and satisfied with his expertise. Thank you Jamaal. I will highly recommend this store!!"

Terrible experience with an iPad repair

"Dropped off an iPad 5th gen that worked perfectly, but needed a replacement charge port (was charging intermittently). Was told 1 week, due to the part having to be ordered. It took 2.5 weeks. I sent my daughter to pick it up. She paid and received the iPad, only to find that there was now a huge bubble under the screen.

She asked for them to fix that and was told to return in 30 minutes. She came back and found that there were now what appeared to be scratches under the screen. She called me and I had her request a refund while they fixed it, and that we would return the next day to pay for it and pick it up.

We came back the following day. They had "reverted" the repair (by presumably de-soldering the entire charge port connector), and had somehow either disconnected the battery or discharged it completely (and left "bonus" finger prints under the screen). They said that they thought that she didn't want to pay, so they couldn't leave it repaired?!

There is no way to tell if the screen even works now. I explained the miscommunication and asked them to complete the original repair and I would pick it up later that week. They said that the manager would not allow them to do any work on the unit. Very frustrating and very unprofessional. All we ever wanted was for the unit to be repaired, and in the same shape that we brought it in. We never asked for them to revert anything.

Worst Business I've EVER Dealt With

"I just got my iPhone 8 today from uBreakiFix it Matteson IL, and it is still broken. I have pictures from in the store when I picked up the phone of how BAD the repair was. I expressed how disappointed & unhappy I am with their "repair," but they think the phone is fixed. I will not use my phone in the unacceptable condition that it is in, so I feel they have stolen $416.08 from me, which was the full cost of the repair including tax. I know I'm not the only one. I heard plenty of other people coming in complaining while I was in their store waiting."

"I was going to have my Kindle battery replaced, but the tech who examined it had offensive tattoos on his arms that displayed **** women; I told him that his tattoos were sexist and disrespectful of women. I cannot do business with a company that allows employees to treat women so horribly.

I also tried to post this review on their website, but to do so, I was told I must have a sales order number.
