"I was in need of a part for my 1973 BSR 310 AXE. A couple of sites showed up on searches, but this one had the most positive reviews. I also found them to be moderately priced, comparatively, and lacking the requirement, that I provide my original core, in order to purchase a new part. I ordered my part based on the reviews found here (although it stated, AVCR does not currently participate at ResellerRatings, to monitor feedback, etc.?) I had never needed to check previousl, and had never heard of this company.
Trepiditiously, I proceeded and was amazed to find the processing was quick, the part was received within 2 days via US Mail and there was no extra shipping charge, no lapse in communication, I knew what was happening via e-mail updates, and ... Then I Got It!, just 2 days later!
When the part was received and replaced, I had more questions, because at 57 I am still a novice at repairing my phono, and the support tech Steve W., was ready and eager to help me troubleshoot my concern. The part worked to turn the turntable, but it's output, was slow and distorted.
With Steve W's help, we determined I still needed to clean up my 'old grease' on various areas of the phonograph, and I did as suggested (a lot more work than I had imagined) in order to utilize my new part, and all was fine thereafter. My idler wheel replacement for the BSR from 1973, began working (after much alcohol was applied for cleaning, and emory cloth was utilized, for the removal of the old grease,) like it had just months before!
