Tsunami-Nation SEO Nigthmare

"I hired Tsunami Nation to get our social media and blogging off the ground. They promised a terrific social media presence, with desirable content, Facebook, Twitter..the works. Unfortunately what Tsunami Nation delivered was nothing but rubbish. All they did was copy-and-paste articles from other websites, with typos and all, without even a pretense of using their own words. Not a single sentence in the almost 200 articles was original, completely worthless. On top of that images were indiscriminately taken from other websites with no consideration of licensing or ownership. Needless to say, I eventually received a bill from a very reputable Image broker and a Cease and Desist so had to take down the image and pay up. Content owners also called us or sent emails asking us to take down the copied page or threatening action. Of course we complied and apologized profusely. We eventually took down the whole blog as we felt it was a potential liability to keep so much ripped off content and images. This represents over a significant investment that we had to take down because it was too risky to keep posted and face a potential lawsuit. On the Facebook front, we received thousands of Likes, but somehow there was no sales activity being generated, no interest in our products, no lead generation, no results whatsoever. Once I researched what was going on I realized all the Facebook Likes were coming from Turkey, Brazil, Indonesia...etc. It is hard to believe but we have more followers in Turkey that in the US. The only reason for this is not that we have business in Turkey, we don't, but they use fraudulent methods to obtain the fake likes. As far as Social Media and SEO is concerned, Tsunami-Nation is at the bottom of the barrel and if you are considering hiring them, don't. They will copy and paste their way and add nothing of value, on the contrary you may end up a worse position with Google for duplicate content at best, or having to defend yourself in court for ripping off images and other intellectual property.
