Excellent customer service experience

"I have had nothing less than STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE from Elena at TAG. I have an old AvComm headset that I bought around 2005. I love it but wanted to move it to the right seat and go ANR. After trying other ANR headsets, I noticed that AvComm has a highly rated, but hard to find, CARBON FIBER(!) ANR headset, the AC1000C. The few places that offered it had it priced at $700.00. TAG had it priced considerably less.
I decided to call, and Elena said because they are a small vendor they don’t always get price increases from manufacturers. To make a long story short, she said they couldn’t let it go for the “old” advertised price, but after a bit of negotiation, we settled at $550.00, fully $150 less than anyone else. (Lesson- CALL them!)
She told me there would be a backorder delay of two weeks. Two weeks later she called and said there would be another week delay. One week later I received notice that it was shipped out. It arrived before Christmas as promised, and…
I LOVE THIS HEADSET! The sound quality and noise attenuation are superb! The sound quality and bass rival high-end music headsets! And it is unbelievably lightweight. The only negative I can find is that the headband “appears” to be plastic. (I hope it’s Carbon Fiber just like the ear-cups.)
Bottom line- Customer service experience with TAG was excellent, and I couldn’t be happier with the AvComm AC1000C headset and the price I paid for it.

"Sent me a different headset from the one they advertised on their website. Different manufacturer, different design, different look, different product. Refused to pay for return shipping."

Slow To Ship & Answer Emails

"Still waiting on a item that was order almost two weeks ago. They were a few dollars cheaper than other retailers but I have a feeling they drop ship from a wholesaler which is why it takes a week or more to get an item. When I emailed it took almost 3 days to get a response which informed me the item would be shipping in a few more days. I suggested they upgrade shipping to next day to make up for the delay and they simply ignored that request. They have no sense of customer service or concern for keeping their customer's satisfied. Like others this was my first and will be my last order."

Great experience.

"I was a bit uneasy about placing an order after reading several negative reviews, but they offered a com radio at a price that couldn't be beat anywhere else. Besides, I could always dispute the charges if anything went wrong. So I placed the order, and realized the tracking number provided didn't show the package going to the right place. I sent and email and followed up with a phone call to figure out where my radio was. Imagine my surprise to get an email and phone call back from Elena letting me know they ship from a warehouse to their facility (that was the tracking number provided), and my radio would arrive at my doorstop the next day. Indeed, it did arrive as stated, and was exactly what I wanted. While others may have had a bad experience, mine was an example of exemplary customer service. I will not hesitate placing an order again with TAG."

"I ordered a DC-X11P, as can be seen from the part number below. The "P" designates that it is panel powered with a 6 pin lemo plug. Your website clearly states "PANEL" in the title. It also describes the unit as "The David Clark X11P Headset is designed for use in cockpits equipped with a 6-pin jack." Please see: http://www.tagpilotsupply.com/davidclarkx11foldingencheadsetpanel.aspx

What you dispatched is a DC-X11, which is battery powered with two standard jack plugs.

They do not answer my email. If I do not get a response within 5 days I will be filing a fraud case against the founders and directors.

"Another bait and switch. Company accepted an order for an item, and confirmed it via email, and then informed me the item was no longer available but that I could purchase an alternative, at a higher cost. This company lacks repute and is dishonest. You should avoid this company at all costs."

"As a student pilot, I have been actively seeking reliable sources for the many books and supplies I will be purchasing over the next few years. Touch and Go Pilot Supply will not be one of those sources. After placing my first (and what will be my only) order with them, I found the most expensive item at a better-known online retailer for less. Next, it took them three days to ship my order and another three for it to arrive (I live less than 150 miles from their location). Finally, when I had a problem with one of the items I received, they refused to answer my emails. Do yourself a favor and give your business to a company that cares about its customers."
