Month of waiting . . . parts unavailable

"Ordered on 1/17/20, ToolsPartsDirect indicated may be 14 business days before shipped. As of 2/13 had heard nothing more. Contacted them and they indicated the parts were unavailable. Who knows when I would have heard from them had I not asked the status. What a waste of time! They indicated they would not charge me. Hopefully not. "

Will look for parts somewhere else

"I had ordered parts on Jan. 13. My first mistake was to order via Amazon account( I have an account set up with TPD).
I called on the Jan. 22nd to see if order was received since when going via Amazon you can neither see information on Amazon or TPD web site. During that call I found this out (thank goodness there was an email sent with an order number ) There is no way to see where or what is going on without calling TPD. I can live with that but to lie and on same call say that in two days they would have parts they had ordered for me and ship them out, well that tells you their customer service is poor. One week later (since I thought the parts were coming I made another call just to see if shipment was made. Nope still waiting on parts, but at least this person told me they did not know what the hold up was and would definitely email out when shipment was made. Well finally on the 7th of February the shipment was made... Well now they use UPS (OK) but UPS has now made an marriage with USPS in some joke of shipping mode to ship parts and they are somewhere. Just visited Post Office for the second day since number I have looks postal and the answer there was the package does not even look like it has shipped... What the heck???? This is terrible customer service all the way around both Tools Direct and UPS/USPS. No surprise from Snail Mail facilities but from the other two companies... Money Grubbing just keeps getting worst and sending you in circles. I may be a person who only orders every so often but that should not matter. Very disappointing.

Should of did some research on the site before buying off of it.

"I placed an order about 5 months ago. I am a set it and forget it kind of guy. 3 months later I get an email about they are processing my order. I never tried to contact them because I wasn't hurting on the parts. I kind of forgot about it but still, 3 months is 3 months. If you are needing parts in a hurry, I would not recommend this site. I still haven't got my parts yet, just a processing order email. "

"They had the correct part, an on/off switch for sander for about $6. The shipping for this small light part was over $5. It took about a week to receive it."

Shame to be in Business

"If there was a choice to give no STAR, i would have given you the worst rating. number one, I hope the CEO or the owner reads this and do something if they care about Customers and their business. Mr/MRS CEO, you should fire all people that are responding to online requests. the customer service have no education and no knowledge of Communications and comprehension at all.... AT ALL....AT ALL.
how could you make your company to stay in business???????? they don't read inquiries and history of conversation that took place about the orders. and each time I was getting answers that made the previous persons response A LIER. that meant to me that they are probably on DRUGS....DRUGS.....DRUGS so for your sake, your prices are really not any better than the MARKET. and if you want to keep those customers that are making the buying decision on your website, to keep them yours....Otherwise shut down and get the hell out of this market, Don't waiste OUR VALUED TIME, AND FRUSTRATE THE HELL OUR LIVES DEALING WITH WORTHLESS.

Masters in the art of delayed gratification

"Placed order on May 12, 2019. Order confirmation indicated one part was back ordered 14 days. The part was shown to be in stock when I ordered it, but was not. I believe they need to upgrade their inventory system to real time. They processed my payment around the 1st of June. My order was not shipped until the 14th of June. Received it today June 19th. 38 calendar days from order to delivery...whats not to like about that. Tried to cancel my order over the phone but I gave up after 20 minutes on hold. I will not be a returning customer. I have had very good service from ereplacementparts.com. Toolpartsdirect is off my list forever. Very thin communication. Also a heads up on Amazon Pay. Your only recourse is to get a credit issued by the offending merchant...you have to communicate with the very same people that are difficult to communicate with...go figure"

No communication at all-STAY AWAY

"I ordered on June 5th for a Father's Day gift, items showed as in stock. I used Amazon Pay because I figured Amazon must screen the people they allow to use their payment system. The only receipt I received was from amazon saying the payment had been processed, absolutely nothing from the vendor. I emailed toolpartsdirect with my concerns and never received a response. I called amazon on the 12th to tell them I hadn't received even an order confirmation, they contacted the company on my behalf and said I should hear something within a day or two. Still no reply, so I called the tool parts direct "customer service" number this morning. After being on hold for 15-20 minutes, someone finally answered and told me the order had been shipped yesterday and offered me a $30 credit for a future purchase. I told him not to bother, I wouldn't shop with them again. He then emailed me a copy of the order and a tracking number, which shows expected delivery 3 days after Father's Day. I expect if I hadn't contacted Amazon, I would have waited months as others have had to do. I'll be contacting Amazon again recommending they discontinue association with this vendor."

Good luck ever receiving anything or even any communication

"You will never get anything more than an order confirmation. Almost a month has gone by and no communication at all, nothing has shipped, and the order still shows open. All of these items had an expected ship date long before now. Don't bother

"If you need parts then this is not the place. You will be lucky to receive any parts you order before you die. They send one email verification of order and thats the last you hear from them. days, weeks and months go by, still no parts. If you have a need for parts this is not the place"

MAKITA SANDER

"Great experience. Tool Parts Direct's website provided me with an assembly drawing for my Makita Belt Sander model # 9401 with part numbers and prices. Ordering was simple , prices are the lowest I could find and delivery time was satisfactory. Parts came in today, 5/8/19 , and upon inspection they look good. I would definately use them again.

Terrible

"I ordered parts over two months ago. A few said they would ship in 10 to 14 days. They still have not shipped and I haven't been given any updates. I emailed them asking for a status upate but they haven't even responded to my email. My previous order before this curent one took over five weeks to ship also. Apparently they are selling parts they don't actually have and placing orders and waiting on them to come in from overseas. After nit getting a response to my email, I ordered the exact same parts list from another supplier who promptly shipped the same day about 3 hours after I placed the order. I am done with toolpartsdirect. I would not be a bit surprised if the go out of business sometime in the next couple of years. "

What a bunch of liars

"While working on my house my tool broke. I went to the manufacturer site and read that they had moved their replacement parts distribution to toolpartsdirect. I went on their site, everything was easy to find and order. I got an order confirmation, they charged my card. It has been a week. I just get an email telling me that the parts are not in stock... I go immediately to their site. Look up the parts I ordered in a search... The one says there is 50 in stock, the other says 24 in stock. Really so they just say those amounts all the time cause they did not change from when I placed my order. Never Again..."

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

"I ordered a part on 9/24, and was told it would back-order for 10-14 days. After that time frame, I called once a week for 3 weeks in a row to check on the status of the order. Each time, I was told the part had arrived, was being checked in, and would ship the next day. The first two times I was very understanding & polite. The third time, I explained that wasn't good enough, clearly something was wrong, and I wanted a follow-up PHONE CALL that same day to let me know the part had shipped. I did not get that. They did email me, but all it said was,
Hello,

I have not heard back from shipping as of yet. I will check with them in the morning.

Have a great evening.

After no further communication from them, I finally received the part on 11/12. I am very disappointed, and will not be ordering from this website again, as clearly they have no problem LYING to their customers. Not OK, not good customer service.
