Horrible Customer Service

"I ordered a gift for my husband 2 weeks ago. It still has not shipped and my card was charged twice! Dealing with their customer service is a nightmare! Save yourself the trouble and order from anywhere else. I will NEVER order from this company again!"

"UPDATE - THEY WILL SELL YOUR INFORMATION TO SCAMMERS, SEE OTHER REVIEWER ALSO HERE SAYING THE SAME, GETTING SPAM TEXT MESSAGES SINCE, NEVER GOT BEFORE AND VERY FEW COMPANIES HAVE THIS NUMBER. AGAIN, STAY AWAY...ORDERED FROM ANOTHER COMPANY, THEY SHIPPED NEXT DAY!

This must be an out of garage ran business with a nice catalog, I doubt they have in stock what it is in the catalog. Also uses fish bait methods of sales...ALL good deals are always on backorder, because they DO NOT EXIST !!
Placed my order when 3 items was said in stock, 5 days later nothing happen, go check the order now everything is on backorder (they probably take orders and THEN will source the items with distributors, they buy with your money). Sent 3 emails, none replied, called 4 times to wait up to 15 minutes and no one pick up the phone. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THOMPSON CIGAR !!!...you are Welcome!

Horrible Company!

"Order placed and a week later USPS still does not have the item they marked shipped? Have to wait to item to show up and send back...and it's not the pandemic, this was bad before. Try calling them and then read the reviews....WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE."

Scam!! DO NOT BUY from Thompson Cigar Co.

"Damaged products shipped to me. Their customer service will not respond by phone nor will they compensate you for damaged product. They will ignore your issue. Do not order from Thompson Cigar Co. you will lose your money. This has happened to me before. Broken cigars, wrong products, broken shipping boxes not tapped properly, very nasty rude customer service. Do not ever buy from them cause it’s a huge risk!! "

Worst ever

"Cancelled my order without explanation, call or email. Just cancelled. Yet the funds are still pending on PayPal. This is the second time being screwed by this company. Placed an order in May of this year. They sent the wrong product. The whole return and refund process took over three months, until the end of August. And even then I had to file a claim with PayPal to receive my refund. I should have learned a lesson then. But i figured I'd give then another try.

Big mistake! Never again will I order from Thompson Cigar!

WOW...worst online experience ever! CROOKS !!!

"Same as the rest...I wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing. I ordered and paid by Paypal, (thankfully) and used the 4 day shipping. After the 3rd day when I realized that they had not even began processing the order, I called and emailed, no reply. I left messages, no replies. Finally, I ordered from another company, filed a claim with Paypal. Once I did that, I sent another email to Thompson Cigar to ask them to refund the money. Surprise, surprise, I received a reply. Saying they won't refund the money because I already filed the claim with Paypal. They never responded to Paypal either, but I got my money and blocked as SPAM on emails. "

SCAM, will continue to charge your card without your consent

"I made a one-time purchase, never enrolled in any sort of club, and had been getting charged $14.95 every month. They even use a different payment vendor than the one used to initially take my card payment. On the account it does not show I have have any payment information saved, it shows I am not enrolled in any subscriptions, yet they continue to charge $14.95 every month. They are very sneaky and I'm sure they do this to every single customer. Awful way to do business. I will never purchase from them again."

I’ll Never order from Thompson cigar again.

"I’ve had a very bad experience recently with Thompson cigars. I’ve been a long lasting customer for a very long time and recently I placed an order with them and the credit card stayed in processing for four days. I never got any correspondence why, any emails, phone calls, nothing. When I called they told me it was an internal problem on their end and that they were working on a resolution. I should note this is the same credit card I always use when I From them weekly. I ended up canceling my order and bought locally. I thought I would give them another try And had the exact same experience as the first time. I denticle experience. Except this time I called on Monday and was told everything looked fine with the order it should ship out on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday and was told that the order is still processing and then I would receive a phone call by 5 PM with the disposition on it. The representative said she would put a rush on the order and have it sent out to me the next day and she would have information for me by 5 PM. I never received a phone call. I called back at 7 PM and was told that they could have the order sent out within two days and all they could do for me was remove the extra shipping that I had paid for. Unfortunately I will never be ordering from Thompson’s cigars again. And I will be leaving a review like this on every social media platform. "

Absolutely terrible.

"As the others have said, this USED to be a great company. Now, it's nothing more than yout typical overseas call center. Complete DISASTER. Do NOT allow them to save your credit card info, you will be secretly signed up for random "automatic orders" without even knowing it. If you call to cancel, you will be on hold for over an hour. It's as if they keep bumping you to the back of the line if they know you're calling to cancel. Items show up as "in stock," then once you order and pay... zilch. Nothing. No email, no phone call, just well... you simply won't receive your order. When you call them back, they will make an excuse "your credit card says John A. Smith, not John Smith... your items are on back order... your telephone number has an area code that isn't consistent with your city and state..." Such off-the-wall excuses they will actually make you laugh. Absolutely ridiculous. I don't know how this company hasn't been flagged for scam activity yet."

100 year old company dying fast

"I've been a customer of Thomson Cigar for quite a while. What a disaster their customer service has turned into. I have called 8 times since July 2019 and have been on hold from 8 minutes to 28 minutes. Most of those calls, I hung up in frustration. It seems their customer service has been outsourced to another country...so much for their 100 years of service! What a pitiful example of customer service. Earlier this year, I was totally misinformed about one of their clubs and I have had difficulty with orders. I am guessing Thomson will be out of business very soon. No one will want to do business with them again once they have experienced horrible customer service. So sad for an old American company."

Owners obviously do not care

"I had been used to total customer service with them. Now, since moving their office to PA and now outsourcing their orders to the Philippines , who operators have difficulty comprehending what you are speaking as well as they are difficult to understand. My frustration is further aggravated by it had taken over 2.5 hours to place two orders and four phone calls. Wait time is excessive!! To further propagate the aggravation is that an order I placed a week ago- - I was notified yesterday by them for verification prior the order could be sent!!! The cigars I was sending to my son should have been there!!!! I asked for a supervisor and when I did speak to her sfter an excessive wait and she could only offer me a 10.00 coupon and she did provide me free shipping she stated, however, shipping was to be free on orders over 99.00!!! The wait, the aggravation is not worth any future irders. There are other cigar companies that do mail order....I will be using them and I advise you to as well. They are less than a one star. It is a shame bc it was a GREAT company "

Pay pal charged me for an order and when I called to find out where my order was I have been on hold for 58 minutes to some guy that cannot even speak English. they are trying to back out on a price I received and not hold up to the deal. what happened to this company! they lie.
