DOP NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE

"I have never been so disgusted with customer service in over 40 years in business, the site promises the world and delivers a picture which is blank.

I ordered a simple but urgently required tool, it took the a month to send an 'Don't worry we haven't forgotten you' email, then nothing further!! Zero, call the number and you get the same rubbish you get on their emails, COVID COVID COVID, we are all dealing with COVID, to be fair, it does not affect the running of my business at all.

It is now almost two months since I ordered, my only option now is to serve them a letter of demand and see them in court.

Do NOT waste even the five minutes you have free to order as you just don't have the time to go out to a tool shop, or don't have one.......when someone needs something, online is my only option, this is worse than waiting for your new bride coming from England in 1882.

I had to get Fair Trading involved to get a refund!

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Almost 2 months I waited for my item to be sent, many emails, all unanswered, many phone calls, none returned.
I contacted Fair Trading, and within minutes the refund was enacted.
Tools Warehouse on-line store is not to be trusted!
Please save a lot of grief, do not buy from this disgraceful company.
Definitely the most useless service I have ever endured.

Very disappointing.

"They promise the world but deliver very little, one of the slowest services I have experienced in what is a very competitive tool reseller market.

I had no contact for 15 days after purchase, to let me know of any progress. They still send me marketing emails non stop to encourage further purchases, but how can I when they haven't even delivered my first purchase.

Way too much focus on the initial sale and not any on delivering the good or after sale service.

I can only recommend steering clear and buying from elsewhere.

Non existent customer service

"I ordered a heater element for a inferred outdoor heater. The element arrived broken.
I contacted customer service to make a claim. Customer service never followed through with a replacement element or returned calls or emails.
Was forced to claim through my credit card company.
I do not recommend doing business with The Tool Warehouse.

Tools not in stock

"They don't actually have the tools in stock they buy them once you pay. So my issue is don't sell it if you don nor have it stock. Ordered last month an have to wait till the next month before it is sent. Will not deal with again would not recommend. "

Wrong item, slow to refund, customer pays shipping on return.

"As the title states.
They shipped a substandard item instead of the quality item I ordered.

After the tracking # on return revealed they had item back 4 days later still no refund?
Customer pays shipping from Tool Warehouse and then pays shipping on return.
Lesson learned... don't bother with this company.

"I have ordered many times from The Toolwarehouse. They some of the best pricing you can find. I noticed that the site has been improved last time I ordered. They have product reviews now and have a secure privacy garauntee. I get email coupons from them that really help. They are closed on the weekends so emailing them is better. I like the chat help function its cool and helped me find a ball joint kit I was looking for. My wife saw the tool warehouse.net on live with regis and kelly too during a tool and gadget show. "

"First the advertising for a Makita recip 18 volt Lithium ion battery powered saw lists among its features on their website, a battery.

No battery was shipped with my saw.

Second in contacting their customer service.com e-mail page, I received and undeliverable message. Twice.

This saw without battery is available practically everywhere for 70.00. Toolwarehouse charged 100.00 which is why I bought it.

I will call monday since they are not responding to my e-mail seeking either the battery or a complete refund including ALL shipping charges. Their inovice says discrepancies must be reported within 5 days and they charge a restocking fee.

I wouldn't deal with this company ever again, and will attempt to have my charge card company refund my purchase price since they offer this for disreputable companies that accept their card.

* a free monthly print catalog is a good supplement for those who prefer paper over computer, like me
