"thepartsbin.com redirects to partstrain.com today. I still have an unresolved issue with a part that was ordered on May 6 and still has not arrived. Contacted their customer service on May 16 and May 24. I don't care if it's under new ownershp or whatever. They should take responsibility for previous failures. Don't give them your business."

"After ordering a part for Thepartsbin.com, they placed my order on hold. I was then sent an email to either, jump through hoops and they will send my product, or not respond to them and it will be cancelled. I opt to let it cancel and purchase from a competitor. They then called me and told me I cannot cancel the part..what? I didn't respond like they said, THEY CALLED ME! I wasn't going to jump through hoops and chose their option of responding to cancel. After an argument with the 1st guy, he said it was canceled. Jump ahead 4 hours and I receive and email saying "cancellation unsuccessful". I immediately call, to get into heated argument with Paul, who likes to try and talk over you. Paul eventually said my part was cancelled. Any further contact as being an "unsuccessful cancellation", I will update. Perhaps with all the negative reviews, they would revamp their services."

"Ordered from the Parts Bin hood lift supports, only one arrived, they charged me full shipping and cancelled the other support due to lack of stock, called back a week later now in stock a well as shown in stock on their website, even though their website showed the original price, they said they would have to get from a different supplier and would have to chage me $2 more for the $18 part, plus full shipping again. This has been the absolute worst online purchase experience I have ever had, with a horrible lack of customer service support. My recommendation would be to place you order with a more reputable and ethical organization."

"I've ordered a couple of times from thepartsbin.com. Fortunately I've had no delivery issues in the past and the parts have always been correct. I have not read any of the other reviews yet but wanted to leave my feed back pertaining to the site itself and my customer service experience via chat. I got my order confirmation and noticed that my phone number was not valid ***-***-****). I wanted to ensure that my proper contact information was available to them if they needed to get in-touch with me and just log in to my account. I had provided a password for account creation after placing my order, but when I went to log-in, it didn't seem to work. This is issue #1. Issue #2. There is no "forgot password" link on the log-in page. As a result I had to (Issue #3) start a live chat with an agent. In the first session after being transferred to someone else- the agent gave me a default password. After I was logged in, I discovered I couldn't change the password so I had to start a second session (transferred again) in which I was asked to just give them my password and they would change it. When I asked ("Arnold" was his name) why I couldn't do that myself in the account, the chat session ended. The third time was equally as unproductive and I eventually just gave them what I wanted my password to be. This is a minor thing, I understand. The fact that it was so difficult to do something so simple and basic for an e-commerce transaction was all the more frustrating. Perhaps it's because I work in technical support for an e-commerce company. As a side bar note, there's also no way to "log out" of your account if you're ever able to get logged in. Note to thepartsbin.com: Don't let minor annoyances like accesing/changing customer account information become a forty minute ordeal which leaves a bad taste in your customer's mouth. There are lots of places to buy car parts online. Especially form my old Jeep Cherokee.

"Same complaint as others...16 days (not including weekends and holidays) and still no merchandise. Customer service has been responsive to my emails but have only offered to provide me a $5 store credit towards another purchase. No thank you!

"With the questioning of their sales representative that included my VIN #. I was told off the alternator for me to purchase and did. It turns out it was the wrong alternator amperage and not the I needed for my 2004 VW Beetle. The damage that it caused was huge burning a large amount of my electrical system to the tune of $1000+ of repair after damages. I did get a refund on the alternator I returned at my own added cost and no more. In seeking compensation for my losses do to their neglect and improper advise being sold the wrong part I spoke & dealt with a Higher End Manager in Consumer Relations (Ms. Hazel Putis. I proposed that I be given half on my losses for a quick resolve and settlement. She requested I email all the invoices &b cost related to this incident and that she would give me a reply and decision from their end. I have sent her many emails with the information she asked for it has been several months and not even the respect of a reply as their costumer have I received till date. I am Disabled and living on monthly check from SSI Disability for $698 which I also made them aware of and the car is my sole means of transportation to see the doctors on a weekly basis. I informed her that I was going to pursue the matter by means of an attorney if I did not get a reply and ow I have begun. The money I lost was a down payment for an apartment, since I am now homeless. I will pursue this for I am sick and tired of these abusive companies taking your money, making huge profits and not taking responsibility towards their customers. If you look them up on site you can't get an address for them or the full name of the founders & CEO's, maybe that is in itself very telling. I found through some complaint that they are in New Jersey, or Illinois or California ( I will find them & that's a promise). Please be aware that is they have taken abusive advantage of me and there are many other complaints from others..."DON'T BE THE NEXT ONE" AND MAKE SURE YOU TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW."

"This is the worst company. I purchased a mirror and cover for a Mercedes. I gave them the VIN number model etc. They shipped both left and right mirror and cover. I painted the cover and went to install when I found that the connection for the mirror did not match to cover. PARTS BIN claimed they could not replace the parts since it was out of stock!! Since I painted the housing they would not accept the return. I am out $359.00 and PARTS BIN told me I should SELL the parts on EBAY. I told her great if they matched!!! This company does not stand behind their parts."

"After looking for the parts I needed online thepartsbin.com was the cheapest. I called and they were polite. I placed my order for two parts. One I received the next day because the warehouse was close by and the other part I received exactly one week later. Make sure to ask if the part is in stock before ordering. Keep records, write everything down and save the webpages showing the parts you ordered, just in case. The call center sounds as if it is in India. Bad move for them because you can't get anyone that does not have an accent or knows auto parts. From what I have read I should not have gotten my parts. I did and they are on the car now. Do not order from them if you need something right away."

"these people sre the worst i ever dealt with.i order 2 cv axles.the price was very low and i question it.id this for real and they said it was so i order 1 cv joint and behold 4 days later no reciet tracking nothing so i call them and found that iw as out of stock.but they it was in stock before ordering.i got money and spoke with a manager and sge said the parts are available,so now i order 2 axles and next day there is the out stock email can we assist you on getting another for a much higher price.i question them and got the samr run- o- run-o.i waiting on my money back.beware of these people."

"After I placed an order with The Parts Bin I was wondering how long it would take to receive my order. I tried to look up where they were located and their website was weak or missing on location and contact information. Getting a bit nervous I stumbled upon this site and I was SCARED by what I read. 4 days later I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED to receive my order in full with no issues. I received multiple emails to keep me up to date on the status of my order, including an assurance that I would not be billed until my items shipped but still I was nervous about the lack of tracking information. It all worked out great, I received brand name products in 4 days. I am not usually the lucky one so maybe these guys are turning things around???"

"This has been a nightmare! I routinely purchase items from the internet and I have never had such a difficult time of it. I truly believe thepartsbin has scripts for their employees who barely speak English. It is very apparent that they have no intention of honoring their warrantee on the catalytic converter I purchased in February of 2011. The converter literally began to disintegrate in September of 2012.

My mechanics had to fax the mechanic diagnosis three times and each time ThePartsBin denied receiving it. I have spoken to three different so-called supervisors with no avail.

I am now filing a formal complaint with the NJ Attorney General's Office. They are not even listed as a legitimate business with the NJ Business Registration and Records Department. In case anyone else wants to file a complaint, the last known address for the ThePartsBin appears to be:

"I order an accessory for my car. Five days later I hadn't received it so I went online for a tracking #. No #, so I did an online chat and was told it would take 3 to 4 weeks for my part because it was coming from the manufacturer. Online it says it is in stock and ships in 2 days. I told them that, they said yes, it is in stock but because it is custom (it isn't)the manufacturer must make it and it will take a month. They say it is in stock and yet the manufacturer must make it and ship it? that is nonsensical. I cancelled the order, luckily it is just an accessory and not real expensive so it won't be a huge loss when I never get a refund."

I called seven times and no one would admit that the package hadn't left the warehouse. When it did arrive it was not securely packed and looks like it is damaged. "DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I ordered an ignition cylinder from them online; never received an email confirmation. I called and was assured that they'd "look into it" and find my order. In the meantime by card was charged, but still no confirmation. After two solid days of calling they finally called by bank and removed the charge. I talked to 4 different people and got the same story. Only after telling them I would call the BBB and internet fraud unit did they remove the charge. NEVER AGAIN!!!
