"My fruit basket was due to arrive on Wed, a birthday gift from my father in law. It did not arrive on time. He followed it up and was told that it had been damaged in transit and one would arrive the following day.
The following day I can only assume I received the damaged one...what a mess! Bruised apples and pears, dinted grapefruit (weird choice for fruit basket anyway) the saddest bunch of grapes I have ever seen, small, sour and falling from the vine. One plum. Just one. And two of the teeniest tiniest bananas I have ever seen in my life which at least raised a smile! I have phoned and emailed them and so far no response. Having bow read previous reviews I will not expect one. A very sorry state of affairs, shocking customer service, appalling quality...save your pennies ????

"I, too, have been thoroughly conned by The Fruit shack. My emails also remain unanswered, as do the recipent's. £23.99 might be a small amount to some, but it is the principle of not replying, and the annoying waste of money. I think these people should be investigated, for example by the BBC programme Face the Facts and the small claims court. The format below does not allow me to put non applicable, where the set answers were incorrect."

"Feel like a complete idiot as I only found these reviews on this company since I started searching after an order wasn't delivered! Our company purchased a 'get well soon' gift for a client on Monday (this now being Wednesday) for next day delivery (paid extra for guaranteed next day), but it has never arrived and the won't answer their phone, respond to voice messages, text messages or emails. Not really sure what, if anything, we can do. We paid through PayPal, so will be contacting them for advice, but looks like we've been well and truly conned!"

"My recipient was pleased with the fruit they received since they had no idea what I had paid for.... but I was not! The basket itself was a cheap and flimsy one and of far lower quality than anything displayed on the website. There were no 'mouth watering sweets' and no exotic items. I could see no difference between my basket and the cheaper versions on offer on the website. I received a prompt apology and a £10 refund but no explanation as to why I didn't get what I paid for. As the purchaser would not normally get to see the product to compare with the specification on the website I found this episode concerning."

"I ordered a fruit basket to be delivered next day as a sympathy gift. It never arrived to the family yesterday. I have emailed and called Fruit Shack and can't get a response. The person I was sending it to called them and was told it would be delivered this Monday which is unacceptable! They were told that they couldn't cancel, only I can and I have tried calling many times from the US and they don't answer. Beware before you buy from them!"

"I paid for the next day delivery yet it did not arrive until 4 days later. Contacted them, they said they would get customer complaints manager to contact me within 24 hours. A month later I'm still waiting! Contacted them again which they have ignored. "

"The order was sent to my home address. This was partly my fault, as I missed the greyed out delivery box option and only put the correct address in via Paypal.
The fruit itself was good quality. However, it was packed upside down meaning that the presentation bow and some of the fruit was squashed on arrival.
There was no reply to my email advising of the incorrect delivery.

"Online ordering is quick & easy, however, after that is where the trouble begins.
When I discovered that what I ordered & what was delivered were completely different, I referred to my invoice to find contact details.
I sent an email to the address provided on the invoice but a day or so later I still had not received a reply so I resent the email asking for a response. Again, nothing. So this time I phoned the number provided on the invoice. The lady I spoke to seemed pleasant enough and said that I'd sent the emails to the wrong email address (even though that's what was in the invoice) and gave me a different email address to send my complaint to. Which I did. I eventually got a reply to say that they would offer me a partial refund of £15.00 (I paid £28.99 for the fruit basket), which I was satisfied with, but I was told in the email that I need to email their accounts team with a refund reference!! Surely they should do this internally? So I did just that and I asked how long it would take to receive the refund. I was advised 5 days. 9 days later, still no refund. So I emailed again chasing and was told simply it will pass to accounts to chase up. A few days later, no more emails and no refund. So i resent the email & was told the same think again! By this time I was pretty fed up!! So I opened a case through PayPal (my payment method) and they contacted the seller. I'm not sure if they even bothered to respond to PayPal but I finally got my refund from PayPal!
Will never use again and certainly will not recommend this company!!
