"This is their scam. They advertise online products with prices too good to be true. You place your order and they call you to verify your information.
They then try to upsell you batteries and chargers. If you don't buy them you will get an e-mail that your item is out of stock and will be delivered one to two weeks.
In my case three weeks went by and exactly one week before Christmas I call them to be told that my camera would not ever arrive.
These guys are crooks stay away you will never get your camera for the price advertised

"I completely agree with all comments here about this online store. They are criminals. I had same experiences this thanks giving time when I was shopping for Canon T3i camera. I was dragged into this website through nexttag's lowest price. I spent almost 10 hours researcing about the camera prices and finally decided to buy on this website. I caleld them zillion times before placing an order, could not reach anyone, finally placed an order. Luckily, I got someone on the phone the third day after my order, very bad customer service, said the same things about charger and battery do not come with the camera. They mentioned that the camera that they deliver is not usable until unless I buy a battery and charger as accessories in their website. They said it is not at all a good deal if I ended up buying charger and battery. Who the moron in this world say those things when they want to be in business. I asked them about the delivery date, answer is back ordered for eight weeks and the question back to me was "Why do I wait 8 weeks?" This conversation was ridiculous with a customer service agent. I was furious and asked them to cancel my order right away and talked to my credit card company to watch for any bill that comes from this website. They are brutal and criminal. I could not find any customer reviews about this website even though I spent hours browsing through. The funny thing is they offer 5% discount if you write a review right before you complete your order. Basically they are buying reviews from customers. Thank god I did not have to go through the mess that some other people went through this website. As soon as I see this today, i jumped in and wanted to share this experience so others will be saved."

"Purchased a lens for my digital slr and was told that the 70-300mm fit only film camera, which the website gave very little detail. So they convinced me to get a different lens 55-200mm for more money and guaranteed that it would work better. Then I found the same lens that they sold me on Amazon for $80 less. So I called back and was told that it was a different lens and that it had plastic connectors and the one I was getting was metal. When I received my lens I looked up the sku number and it was exactly the same thing as what Amazon had so I called back and was told that even the sku numbers were the same I was getting a better and sharper lens. Wow what a total crock, the first guy told me that it was plastic and it was a different lens and now this guy is telling me that it has same sku but what they sold me was better quality. I wished I had saw these reviews first. They are Fraud and misleading!!!!"

"I would give no stars if it would allow me. Bought a Nikon 18-200 when redirected from Nextag. Received an email to call to confirm. The first time I call, they say it is an optical lens which will fit only older models and not my Nikon D-90. The call gets disconnected and I call back a little later and someone else says it does fit but is an import model with plastic connectors and urges me to buy a US model (apparently with metal connectors) which is about twice the price or go for a sigma at the same price which is a lot cheaper elsewhere. I disagree to both and they charge me 10% fees for restocking when I have not yet confirmed my order. Bunch of crooks. Wish I read reviews of the seller in addition to the product reviews."

"***Do NOT buy from this Company!!!***
I was attracted to TheDigitalHunter by their very low price on a Canon 7d. I purchased it AND a Warranty for an extra $100. I was refreshed by their honesty when a rep called me and asked me if I was aware that the camera I bought was an Import model and everything was in Japanese. I told him no, thanked him for his honesty and told him to cancel the order. He told me that they already shipped the warranty and he would try to cancel it but it was doubtful and I need to call the warranty company. Sure enough, I received the warranty in the mail, called the warranty company, they said they did NOT charge me, theDigitalHunter did. Called theDigitalHunter back, told them I cancelled the order and do not have the camera but received the warranty. The extremely rude rep told me that all warranties are final sales! When I tried to explain again that I don't even have the camera, what would I want a warranty for, he hung up the phone on me!!!

"Do not business with them.

Let me explain what happened this week with Digital Depot. I would like to explain as objective as possible.

DAY 1
Found Digital Depot attracted by the cheapest price of about 1,261 for 5D in Nextag
Decided to purchase it online
Received an email telling me to call CS to confirm the order and call them
CS rep told the product I was trying to buy is the import model and its manual is set up in German and I can’t change the setting.
Also told me no charger, no battery nor any warranty attached, moreover the camera has plastic body.
I told them to cancel the order.
CS told me I have to pay 10 % restocking fee which is $130
CS suggested me to buy USA version instead so I don’t have to pay the fee. The USA version was $2,259.
CS asked me to buy a battery charger since the battery charger in the set is really cheap and it takes 24 hrs to fully charge the battery.
I purchased the camera with the battery and received a confirmation email. I found $2,500 including 6 % of insurance fee withdrew immediately.
DAY 2
I started googling the company and reached nextag reviews. There were 3 bad reviews out of 177 reviews. Checked the 3 reviews and found that they suffered for the same kind issues.
Checked Digital Hunter, which listed the second cheapest price for 5D in Nextag
Found the webpage looks just like Digital Depot then started looking through all the negative reviews.
Found many people suffered the same issues. Finished reading all the reviews about Digital Hunter in Nextag, googled other reviews in resellerrating. Again found the same problems in the reviews.
During the research, I found someone posted that Digital Hunter is the succeeding of Thunder Camera, which was suspended business in 2009.
Googled Thunder Camera and found tons of bad reviews at resellerrating as well.
I decided to cancel the order.
DAY 3
I called Digital Depot and talked with CS rep, Robert and asked the status of the order. He said it is in shipping. I asked if the item was already shipped out or not. He told that it’s already shipped out and the order is in UPS now. I asked him to give me a tracking number but he refused to give me the tracking number because they do not have tracking numbers. Detail follows.
Robert said “ I do not understand why you are asking the tracking number of the order you just made 2 days ago even though you chose free shipping and it is supposed to take 10 days to deliver. UPS can keep the order and ship it any time. UPS can ship it today, tomorrow or next week but UPS has the item. You can not cancel the order because the order was already processed. You chose free shipping and tracking number will be available and sent to your email 3 days before the delivery. You will get it by next Friday.”
I replied, “I just want to make sure if I can get the order or not. I am just asking the tracking number which you should have if you shipped the order from your warehouse. What if some damages occur during the delivery how can you track the order to see if the item is ok without tracking number?”
Robert, “We have our system to track the order and you chose free shipping so please wait 10 days. You will get it by next Friday.”
I said, “ what if it is not delivered by next Friday?” Robert, “ I will give you a full refund.”
I asked, “Can you send me a written confirmation saying that you will give me a full refund if the order is not delivered by next Friday?”
Robert, “You will get it by Friday OK? I have to go.”
He hanged up. I am still waiting for his confirmation.

I am waiting for the delivery and what might happen next? Late shipment? Camera in the white box with no warranty? Then no refunds? Let me update.

It is up to your judgment but I strongly recommend not to do business with them.

"DO NOT SHOP HERE - they are rude, impatient, and will try to bait and switch for over priced, poor quality, equipment. They have an F rating on the BBB website and wish I had researched the site more before ordering.

The positive reviews on their site are from customers prior to placing their orders in order to get a 10% off discount. They even trick people into positive reviews...

"Do not order from this vendor! They will try to bait and switch on you I ordered Nikon 18-105mm to replace the one that I had. The salesman tried to tell me that it would not fit the D90 (funny since I had the lens for two years and it was the lens that came with the camera). When I said that I did not want to change my order, he said fine and next thing I got was an e-mail stating that suddenly my order was on backorder!. I cancelled the order and ordered from Adorama "

Hi,
I recently ordered a 60D Canon & accessories, lens, etc. your rep
called and asked why I was ordering a Tamron 18-270 when a Sigma
18-200 was a much better lens[a true 18mm & more telephoto at 200 then the Tamron is at 270], so I changed my order before you shipped. Everything I have read on the internet says the opposite.
Please Help because I now know that the Tamron 18-270 or Canon 18-200 are much better lenses. Thanks Dave
