Ripoff

"Unfortunately the name TheCarCover.com is very similar to another company that has a good reputation. My bad for not being more diligent. I ordered a cover for my small truck and received a cover large enough for a large crew cab truck. Odd since their website lets one pick the exact make, model, and year of the vehicle for which you want the cover for. My truck is old and somewhat rusty so unlikely that they would have let me return it even if they had responded to me but please don't make the same mistake I did - DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!"

1 Month Later and Still No Cover

"This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a company. I ordered a cover for my 2004 Monte Carlo SS. The car is very important to me and in great shape. I wanted to cover it as I do not have a full garage to keep it in. I chose this site because it seemed to be a good quality distributor with their pictures and the amount of products they offered. WOW.. I could not have been more wrong. I ordered my cover on November 15th. It is now December 10th, I don't even have a shipping number for the cover I ordered. The first cover that was sent was for a Suburban or another large SUV, not a Monte Carlo. They refused to ship the new one until they had the incorrect one. Meaning my car would sit longer, uncovered. I sent theirs back, still haven't received mine. I call their number and after 45 minutes I find; THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE MY COVER IN STOCK. The cover I ordered is not in stock, they sent me another generic one that is "large size" not a custom one that I had paid for to fit specifically my vehicle. It took this long just for them to tell me that the cover I originally ordered wasn't in stock.. Absolute waste of time, I could have had the car covered by now! I have never been more frustrated by poor customer service. I was hung up on once today by the customer service rep "Aiden" and I have been on hold for 25 minutes and counting to speak to a manager so I can get FULL REFUND. I currently have an open claim against them through PayPal for the incompetence. COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR TIME, GIVE ANY OTHER COMPANY YOUR MONEY, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR."

"Do Not Do business with them!
Placed an order on 5 November, 2015 over the web at www.thecarcover.com for my MGB,
order number 100009165, sku DDC 101, cost $159.95.

11 November, received an e-mail stating my cover had shipped via UPS. A check of the UPS tracking number (1Z204E380368842650) stated that a “Shipping Label had been created”.

13 November (Friday), a check of the tracking number showed no update, only that a “Shipping Label had been created”. I sent an e-mail through the link listed in the confirmation e-mail the company had sent me. Never received a reply.

16 November (Monday), Called the customer service number and talked to “Roberta”. She said she had checked with shipping and the cover would go out the next day. She would call me back to confirm the next day. No response.

18 November, Contacted customer service and asked for a supervisor. After a 22 minute wait, a lady came on the line saying she was the supervisor. I asked for her name but she changed the subject and stated that indeed my cover had shipped. I asked her to pull up the UPS web site and enter the tracking number for it clearly showed only a label had been created and UPS was waiting on the shipment. She again stated the package had shipped. I read to her exactly what the UPS web site stated. She then gave me the excuse that they had moved to a new location and has experienced a few short delays. I outlined all that had transpired prior to this including the e-mail sent with no reply and talking to ‘Roberta” from customer service on Monday. She stated that the company did not have anyone named ‘Roberta’ and they had never received my e-mail. I asked for a refund and she stated that is was too late the charge had already been process. This leaves me to contact my credit card company and dispute the charges.

"Beware, they sell cheap junk. Will last a few months then falls apart. Their warranty is 100% worthless. Any positive reviews you may see are lies by shills. Customer service is a joke almost as bad as the products they sell."

"The website looks good with lots of verbosity. So I purchased a Diamond/5 layer cover in May 2012 - the price reflected a quality cover. It looked great out of the box. BUT within 2 months, the front drawcord rotted out - super cheap material. I wanted to repair this issue but received no response to several emails, even one addressed to a "Kevin McGregor", VicePresident (name and number supplied with the invoice). Phone calls went into a long answering machine loop and were not answered - I just could not get a human on the phone. At month three, water got under the cover from a seam leak and several white stains formed under the clear coat during late summer. Now I was angry but another set of attempts to contact company went without success. The "soft" inner lining material is now disintegrating - so cannot use anymore even in dry weather. I would strongly advise using a different company. This is not a quality made product and customer service doesn't exist. "
