"Same crap here... 5 transfers (oh, order #111111, hold on), on hold for around 15 minutes. tried the upsell, declined. RUDE service people. I doubt I'll ever see the camera. I'm holding out hope, but I will NEVER order from these punks again. "

"The worst service ever, impossible to reach anybody on the phone, if you get anybody they immediately transferring you to somebody else and you will hold for half hour. If they don't have an answer , they will simply hang up on you. Representatives are rude. Website says they items are Brand New, but they forgot to mention, that it doesn't include battery, charger, USB cable, etc

DO NOT EVER EVER SHOP WITH THESE SCAMMERS!!!

I am a professional shopper as I have been shopping regularly for years and years, have seen all the bait and switch companies and their stories or excuses to cancel your order on the loss leader items. I have been trying to buy a Sony HDR-SR8 for a while and came upon their $899 price. now sirens went off:
1. price is lowest on the web
2. east coast company, probably NYC or NJ
3. lots of BS text about new items, usa only, satisfaction guarantee crap
4. lots of optional accessories and bundles for upsell and bait and switch techniques.

I decided to place an order with my business amex card. I know it is guaranteed to go thru, I put the same info for billing and shipping to prevent them from having an excuse to not ship it. I ordered next day air shipping to prevent them from saying it got lost or it is not a priority shipping method and why I cannot get it on time etc.

I got a confirmation email saying i must call to confirm.
call 1. our system is down, call back
call 2. what is your order no? gave it to them, pls hold. then someone picks up and said you are not confirmed. i told them that is why i am calling
another guy came up. said ok now you are confirmed. i said great, will i get it tommorrow.
he says "you are never going to get this item" I was like what? is this a joke? he says "Do you think I am joking with you? do you want me to cancel it?" then i said you have it in stock on the website, he said "no we dont, do you want me to keep your order here forever until we have them for this price? " I was like WHAT? I could not beleive they have this clown as customer service. I said can you repeat what you are saying? thinking I misheard him. He said "What did you say about your PEN*S?" I was like so this is a scam right? He says "thank you" and hung up.

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!! DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS PLACE. A warning to other shoppers.

1. look out for the above red flags when you order consumer electronics. Check the whois, a lot of them share the same address or are all on the same street.

2. Dont get fooled by 800 numbers, it does not mean they are going to be in business or have been in business for long.

3. watch for the FAKE certified seals, like 5 star or shopping seals, they are ALL fake and probably owned by one of their associates, they are all no name price comparison engines desgined to boost their own traffic or search engine rankings. Most of the vendors are the same on those fake comparison sites giving fake seals for certified store or customer satisfaction seals. If you scan the best price stores in froogle, or adword listings , the same stores always show up and upon further investigation they are really the same outfit or are associates of each other.

4. I see the same issues over and over again. dont give them an excuse to cancel your order. make surey you use a card that will go through, make sure you are shipping to the billing address of the credit card, make sure you do your due diligence. These scammers will try and upsell you, if they succeed in dumping crappy options and bundles onto you, they will ship it since they are now making a profit. If you say no to everything they will find all the ways to NOT fulfill your order.

"First of all: DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! Here is why: I found Sony HDR SR7 camcorder on their web site with the best price. First I called them to double check that my camcorder is in stock – I was told of course it is so I ordered online, got email saying to call them to confirm. Called them, confirmed my order but of course had to put up with the poor sales techniques of overpriced accessories. Finally my order was about to be shipped the next business day. That day came and I called them again to get my tracking number. I was told that my order is not in stock and it would be within 2 to 3 weeks. I cancelled the order and wasted almost a week of my time. My advice is not to buy from any websites that are closed on Saturdays (if you know what I mean). "

"Ordered a Canon EOS 20D for a "Great Price." I placed the order and got an email saying I had to call to confirm. I called customer service and after giving them my order number they transfered me to the camera department. The guy said, "you know, this is for the plastic body, not the metal alloy one." I told him I know and it was okay. He said do you want batteries. I said no, I already have them from my old camera. He said okay, he will ship it right out. It never came and when I called back a week later they said they sent me an email saying the camera was out of stock. I asked for a supervisor and was directed to voice mail. No one ever called me back."

"I ordered a Canon GL2 for a "great price", then got an email telling me I had to call them to confirm it. Why did I use the net? If I wanted to call I'd call! Anyway turned out what I was getting was a stripped down camera body. "Want a lense? Oh that's extra. (HMMMM) "oh yes, would you like a battery with that? ON and on so that my original order cost of $1015.15 became $2500.00!! These guys are rip offs! I cancelled my order and went through B&H. Great service!"

"We placed an order for a digital video camera with a professional accessory kit. When they called to confirm the order they only seemed to want to upsell, and through their questions, we discovered that the package did not include the standard retail package with battery, charger, cables, etc. We felt completely deceived and asked to cancel the order. Even if it were the best deal we could find, we would not order from them because of their poorly informed web site and sales tactics."

"Ordered but cancelled the transaction the next day because despite being told directly by phone that the product (SONY DRC-SR300) was in stock the day I ordered after multiple calls the next day, 5 transfers and 3 disconnects someone finally admitted that it would not be in stock for at least two weeks. The only good thing I have to say is that (so far) my credit card was not charged. "

"I ordered a camcorder, and received the usual email about calling to verify the order and my credit card. When I did so, I was offered the opportunity to purchase all the items which normally come with that camcorder in its retail box at very high prices. I asked in amazement if the quoted price did not include the basic battery, charger and cables. I was told no, the quoted price included only the camcorder itself.

This was strange since they advertised a full U.S. warranty, which usually accompanies the full retail package.

When I was told that I could not buy the full retail package at the quoted price, I told them to cancel the order.

"Ordered D200 body only for 799.00 - called first to ask if it was for real. The man said at that price it was for the body only no battery, no charger, no strap, no video cable, no usb cable, not even a body cap. That was ok with me because it was going to be a second body for me - I asked if it was in stock and he said yes but that I have to place the order on the internet. I did. They sent an email that I had to call to confirm my credit card - I did and also confirmed over the phone that it was in stock and shipping. I followed-up a few days later and they said it was ready to ship and that I should see it as early as Friday May 11th but more likely on Monday May 14th. I called May 14th to follow-up and they simply said it was on back order for 3 to 7 weeks. Can you say SCAM! These people are despicable! Frankly, Nikon should not sell them cameras. That's my story! George"
