"Got the international SIM to use in my iPhone. Seems to work now that it is set up, good set of features. There were several problems during setup, Customer Service was prompt and helpful getting the issues resolved.

1) PROBLEM: Trying to retrieve voice messages, the system was ignoring my input, and never playing the message. SOLUTION: Contrary to User's Guide, I found that I had to re-record my voicemail greeting, before the system would allow me to retrieve voice messages. No help in the menus with this, discovered it by trial and error.

2) PROBLEM: You dial '121' to access voicemail; the menu tree gives you the option of recording your name or greeting. However, the system at this point would ignore my input, and I could not record my name. SOLUTION: dial the '732' number for recording the name/greeting, and set it there. Then the '121' number worked for retrieving messages. Customer service rep restored the account balance for the minutes used unsuccessfully working with the voicemail system.

3) PROBLEM: phone stopped receiving calls; caller got message "user not available or has travelled outside area; error CO83552". Couldn't access voicemail. SOLUTION: account balance had gone below a minimum threshold (a couple dollars). Documentation doesn't mention that callers will not be able to leave voicemail; if this is a concern, never let the balance get too low.

4) PROBLEM: drastic overcharge on data. During the setup/test process, I transferred a small amount of data (a few hundred kilobytes), and the balance was drained to $0 - something like $30. SOLUTION: Customer service rep found that the system for this newer SIM card had been set up incorrectly, and U.S. data charges were being billed at something like 40 times too much. The rep restored my balance (you have to ask them to do this); said that the system would get fixed and send me an email notice in a few days; for now, turn off data while in U.S."

"I have just purchased Telestial's UK Simple Calling Service in readiness for travelling to various parts of the world, and am very glad to have found it, as it will save me a great deal of money when abroad. "I am planning a trip to Italy and needed a phone to contact the various tour operators and hotels I will be staying with while I am there. I ordered the Pack Lite package with Passport Lite SIM Card. The phone and SIM card arrived within 5 days of my order. I called customer service to ask a few questions after receiving my phone, my call was answered quickly and all questions were answered thoroughly. Initially, FedEx had lost the package, and Telestial had no problem in offering me a replacement free of charge. Finally, however, the original package was found by FedEx."
