"WAITING FOR SERIAL NUMBER :-(
Well FedEX are on top of their game, as usual, the software arrived 2 days before it was expected, looks genuine, in a sealed jiffy bag with an adobe hologram genuine sticker.
So far so good until I went looking for the serial number, instead of it being where it should be on the box there is a product ID label. This is of no use for installing the software.
So I emailed Amanda not expecting any reply until Monday since TVD only work 4 days.
To my surprise Amanda did respond with "That was fast! Wow!
I will have your serial registration/installation issued over shortly."
Well I thought, at long last, some real customer service but alas I am still waiting. This would appear to be how TVD do business, very very slowly.
I will update this story with what I hope is the final chapter if the serial number arrives in my email inbox.
--------------------------------------------------------------
WRONG TRACKING NUMBER SENT!!!
After further emails between Amanda and myself it transpires that either the TVD automated email system or TVD staff had sent me the WRONG tracking number.

I have suggested to Amanda that TVD add the tracking number to their invoices in an effort to prevent this issue arrising in the future.

Now that I have the correct tracking number the software is still in transit and is due to arrive here on Monday the 19th.

I will reserve my final judgement untill the software arrives, installs, activates and registers without any issues relating to the software being legitimate. So watch this space for more.
------------------------------------------------------------

Having used my credit card on the 5th of November 2012 to purchase the as advertised Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium - WIN (Free Express Shipping!) it is now the 14th of November 2012 with no sign of the software.
After a number of emails back and forth with the last reply, from Amanda this time, finally providing a FedEx tracking number.
The status of the FedEx shipping report is still at the INITIATED stage even more than 24hrs after FedEx was contacted by TVD on the 12th at 10:46am.
It would appear that all the other bad behaviour reports that I have found on the internet with a simple Google search are correct.
Don't even think about doing business with this company or any of the owners/staff.
You will regret it as I am. I have started the process of making a refund claim via my bank on the basis that TVD are scammers.
I have bought numerous items from the USA in the past and have, up until now, never had any problems.
I just wish I had taken a few moments to do a Google search for TVD BEFORE making this purchase, had I done so I could have avoided this aggravation.
Please if you are reading this and other bad behaviour reports about TVD pass them on to everyone you know, these scammers must be, at the very least, shut down and hopefully at the best locked up.

"I have not read one review of Tech Value Direct that has been remotely positive nor did any of them contain one comment that could be read as neutral or indifferent. They have all been 100% negative. My review will not be diifferent, even at the risk of sounding redundant. Its my opinion that enough bad cannot be said about TVD. My 3 day delivery took 2 weeks. My $1000.00 Adobe CS6 software did not come with a SN so it could not be installed. The SN they sent me after 2 weeks of Email tag brought up a message telling me that my brand new unused software was already installed the maximum of 2 computers and to uninstall it to reinstall it on this computer. Which was odd, since I only own one computer that I share with my wife. After the 3 Emails it took me to covince Amanda that I did not want her to "help" me with this problem, I returned the bogus software. I paid extra to insure it for $1000 and to make them sign so they could not refute recieving it. 2 weeks later I Emailed them to ask about my full refund and Amanda responded ensuring me that my return has been processed and to expect my money to credit my account in 2-4 business days. That was 3 weeks ago. Since then I've had to spend another $1000 to buy a ligitament copy of the software because I'm a student and need it for 2 of the 3 classes I am taking this semester. I'm sure its to no ones surprise that I have still not recieved my fefund, which to me is the equivalent of a month's rent. TVD is not a business, they are scam artists that take money from hard working people, drawn in by the prospect of saving a few bucks, and give them in exchange a product that is never meant to work, the run around with emails and phone calls that are rarely returned and its all designed to keep your money. I have yet to read one review that stated that someone got their refund and I am no exception.

"The story started on 4/17/2012 when I purchased CS 5.5 Design Premium.
The package was not available so it was upgraded to Master Collection at no extra cost.
While I was able to install the software using the S/N provided, I could not register it--the S/N turned out to belong to a volume licence (of a company completely unknown to me).

Many e-mails back and forth (with wait times for a response between 1 day and more than 14 days) still no valid S/N but a promise to receive the free CS6 upgrade with a valid and tested S/N.

On 07/28/2012 I finally received the upgrade package--CS6 Web and Design Premium.
Needless to say that it came without a S/N. And it wouldn't even install using the S/N provided with CS5.5 and hence requested a refund.

On 8/12/2012 I finally received an e-mail stating that my refund has been processed and that I'd need to allow 4 to 6 business days for it to appear.

Again some e-mails going back and forth and received assurance on 8/30/2012 (what happened to 4-6 business days?) that my check had been processed and sent to my mailing address on file.
Since I have 2 mailing addresses (1 in the US and 1 in Europe where I actually live) I asked where it was sent and received a reply with a promise to follow up on this.

Today is 9/18/2012 (more than 5 months later) and I have neither received my refund, nor a follow up and I was billed 800 bucks for nothing, as the software won't even install.
While the price tag looks tempting when shopping for CS6, you should be warned to not order the software from this company.

So far I spent 800 dollars for nothing. I call this being ripped off (they don't, I know).

BTW, the communication between myself and TechValueDirect spanned most likely every employee there is at this company: Josh, Jennifer, Amanda, Noah and Garrett.

UPDATE: On 9/19/2012 I received an e-mail from Amanda stating the my refund check had been sent via mail on 9/13/2012--again no indication whether this was sent to my US or my EU shipping address.
It was also stated that "We also processed a CS6 suite for you complimentary." Since I have no idea what that means I asked--you probably guessed it already: no response.
Prior to my inquiry I also received an e-mail (that's the 2nd within a couple of hours--I wished they'd been that quick responding to my inquiries) where a TVD rep expressed the company's dislike regarding the "negative" review I posted here.
If listing the facts as they happened constitutes a negative review, well, then this is one. However, I'll be more than happy to update this account with coming (positive?) details.

UPDATE: On 10/16/2012 received an e-mail stating that the check was dropped in the mail on 9/17/2012, which in my world is 4 (four) days later than originally claimed (see above).
Today is 10/24/2012, which is roughly 5 weeks later with no check received (nor a refund accounted to my credit card nor a working serial no. sent to me).
Judge for yourself how you'd call this kind of "service" and whether it's advised to shop at TVD . . .

UPDATE 11/14/2012: 7 months after the initial attempt to purchase CS 5.5 (with free upgrade to CS 6--full retail version) still neither received a working software nor a refund.
The bottom line: 800 bucks spent on hot air and worthless promises!

If I may give some advice: Get any software from a reliable source, even if it may be a little more expensive. But you'll actually receive a real value within a few days.

I'll most likely not update this review any more, as TVD's personnel has not only refused to deliver the software as advertised or to give a full refund, but has also ceased to respond to my e-mails.

PS: Updated the price rating to "Very High Priced", as I deem 800 bucks a lot of money for NOTHING; unfortunately one cannot award 0 stars for their non-performance.

"Originally posted on ResellerRatings.com June 15:
I bought the Adobe CS5.5 Design Premium package May 24. Shipping was delayed so Amanda upgraded me to the Master Collection for no extra money and had me download it saying she'd ship the software soon after. I entered the SN she gave me and was off and running. I tried to take advantage of a Lynda.com offer but found out from an Adobe chat that the SN provided was invalid! I never heard anything from TVD but for a couple replies saying there was a delay in the software, and my situation was to be resolved within 48 hours as to the SN problem. IT'S BEEN 11 DAYS! Repeated attempts to register returned the same response from Adobe. I've left numerous emails and voicemails with TVD and have heard nothing more.

I have NO software (except the download) and I cannot register it. My software works but I'll never be able to upgrade because it is an invalid/illegal SN.

"Markets are conversations." Never sh!t on the customer, you will be out of business eventually.

UPDATE: I rec'd an email from Adam @ TVD Friday night (the weekday they're not open) acknowledging my dissatisfaction and offering to refund my money. Why did they immediately offer a refund and not offer to fix the registration/dodgy SN and ship the software?

JULY 24: Update to my continuing abysmal service by Tech Valueless Indirect and lack of provision of product I paid for.

Where do I begin? They never shipped CS 5.5 though I did download it but the SN was invalid according to Adobe tech support. Furious, I left my initial review here on June 15. They said they'd upgrade me with CS 6 Master Collection to cover my problems and though Amanda said it would ship TWELVE days ago, it hasn't.

----

So, I FINALLY received CS6 MC, downloaded from adobe.com on August 15, it's registered and running. Was it worth it? You be the judge. I suspect so having the software and doing things with it, with the affordable price. The aggravation/service was a first for me from any business and I just don't understand it.

What would be great here is for TVD to post a reply to explain their side to what I've outlined – I never received a real explanation, just that there was a miscommunication on their part.

So, Mark, as I said I would when this was over, I've expanded on my initial post, presented the chronology and I'm now satisfied to have the software I was offered, just still a bit jaded at the whole experience, that'll dissipate in time. I believe your company's reply can close the book on this chapter.

"This company sold me software, never sent the original packaging just a disk and serial number. The software would not activate. Josh said he made a mistake and gave me the wrong serial number and as an apology he upgraded me to the Adobe Master Collection at no charge. Then after 3-4 emails back and forth he finally sent me the software as promised. I installed the software and sure enough it activated. Unfortunately the software would not register. That is when Amanda told me that activating the software is the same as registration. I sent her the copied text from Adobe.com explaining that she was wrong. Then I called Adobe they told me the serial number came back to another person and it is a academic version. I believe this company is nothing but a scam and have been giving me the run-around for well over 3 months. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T BUY BECAUSE OF A LOW PRICE."

"Buyer Beware! My suggestion to any would be consumer, is to completely avoid Tech Value Direct Inc. (www.techvaluedirect.com)

Here's my 100% negative experience with this company:

I used my credit card to purchase a serial key via their website for Adobe software. I received an invoice stating: "your instructions will be received shortly via the email that you provided" but I never received the instructions. I contacted Josh to notify him of the issue and he told me to look for it the next day and let him know if I didn't get it. When it didn't come, I notified him and didn't hear back from him at all.

I called and left 2 messages stating that I wanted someone to call me back and let me know what was going on. The next day I received an email from someone named Amanda who said that she was on call, and because their office was closed that she could only offer a refund. I told her I would wait until noon of Monday for someone to contact me.

I then waited the rest of Friday, Sat, and Sun. 12:00pm Monday came and went but no one contacted me so I sent them an email and gave them one last chance asking them to respond immediately. An hour later I got a response from Amanda who said that Josh would give me an update that day(Monday). I let her know that it was too late, I gave Josh 5 days to respond to an issue on a $800 dollar purchase. That's MORE than enough time for him to get back to me.

I'm currently waiting for a full refund, but I initiated the dispute process with my card company anyway because Tech Value Direct has shown themselves to be unreliable and untrustworthy.

This should be more than enough reason to re-think a purchase from Tech Value Direct.

Update 02/29/2012: After wasting almost a week of my time and productivity, they gave me a full refund for the purchase amount. I also received this explanation:

"Your order was delayed because there was a delay with our system and the Adobe system and on Monday morning they instructed me that it would be another day to refresh our serial numbers through them."

I checked with someone at Adobe in the reseller department who told me that she was unaware of any delay, that the explanation was "B.S.", and not to trust them.
