"Dear Scott,
I wanted to take a couple minutes while it was fresh in my mind to thank you for going the extra mile for me. As a certified member of the “technically challenged” club, choosing a new lighting system for my staging needs was something I’d been dreading and anticipating all at the same time. Anticipating because my old system of hodge-podge lighting was cumbersome, antiquated and frankly quite unattractive and I’d been ready to upgrade for a very long time. Dreading because I don’t really know tungsten from halogen or incandescent from fluorescent, not to mention feeling confident assembling anything that contains more than two easily compatible parts!
It was a lucky day when I was referred to you, Scott, (by one of your competitors who didn’t sell the product I thought I wanted to purchase) and you were able to direct me to available options no one else seemed to know even existed. Bottom line, you saved me nearly a thousand dollars on a lighting system that more than meets my needs and appears to have twice the quality that your competitors were directing me toward. On my start-up business budget, that is a lot of capitol I can now use toward other “must-haves”. Also, you were willing to help unpack and set-up the equipment (which arrived within a matter of days after ordering…not weeks as other companies had quoted) taking me step-by-step through the assembly process. And although it was not rocket science, I sincerely appreciated knowing what cable went where and basically which end was up, without having to stress trying to figure it out on my own.
Would I recommend you, Scott Cantrell, and the crew at TapeWorks Texas In a heartbeat! Excellent customer service; highly creative, out-of-the-box thinking and a “can-do” attitude.
Now I look forward to my next opportunity to order something technical because I know you, Scott, and the guys at TapeWorks Texas will take excellent care of my needs.

"After weeks of research and countless hours of web surfing, reading reviews, and more; I settled on a Panasonic AG-HMC40, XLR adapter, and Tiffen UV filter. After even more research, I settled on making my entire purchase from TapeWorks Texas.

Brad Parler was my sales agent. His knowledge and expertise in the field of photography & videography is top notch and comforted me in knowing that he could answer any question I threw at him. He was very patient with me and worked with me through the entire pre-purchase phase (my countless questions and concerns), and even after the sale was complete, he still keeps in contact with me to make sure I am a happy customer. I'd have to say that 90% of retailers and e-tailers have never treated me this nice.

"I had the luck to work with Scott Cantrell of Tapeworks Texas over multiple emails, phone calls, and an in person meeting, early this year. I worked with Scott to find the right video camera for me in order to make the most of my time in the film program at the University of New Orleans.

Scott was wonderful to work with and helped me weigh pros and cons of different cameras in the end settling on a Panasonic HMC-150. The experience with the camera has been great while the experience with Tapeworks has been better.

One of the accessories I purchased from Tapeworks to go along with the camera gave me problems and it didn't take more than a short phone call to have the solution discovered and the problem solved. I would highly encourage anyone looking in to purchasing any camera or equipment to choose Tapeworks Texas as their outlet. Their commitment to their customers really makes the grueling process of purchasing equipment a pleasure.

"I just purchased a Canon XL-H1A from Tapeworks Texas and I couldn't be more pleased with the whole process of dealing with them. My Sales Associate was Dan Rigg. Dan asked all the important questions and made sure I had all the supporting gear I need for my first HDV camera. Switching from DV could have been a nightmare but he made the transition easy.

After the purchase, I waited a few days for the camera to arrive. The whole time it was in transit, Dan kept me updated via emails. Once it was delivered I felt compelled to write this review of a great company that excels in customer service.

Though this was my first purchase from Tapeworks Texas, it certainly will not be my last!

"A friend of mine recently called me cheap. I told him he had me all wrong - "I just don't have a lot of money to burn.. There's a difference."

Recently I decided to make the switch from DV to HDV. To put that into perspective, the camera I had at the time retailed for $2,800 - the camera I wanted retailed for $10,000. But the camera was just the beginning. In reality this change would mean I'd have to amp up the whole studio - from the camera to the capture card, from the raid drive to tripods, and from the camera bag to the battery system. The numbers were very daunting to me.

So what did the "Cheap guy" do? I searched the internet for the lowest prices I could find on anything and everything I thought I would need. That felt better, because in just a few short searches I'd taken thousands of dollars off the retail prices I originally faced. But now I faced a reality far worse than retail prices. Now I faced the criminals who ominously populate any search you do with the words "Sale" or "Cheap" or "Deal" or even "Best prices." I was aware of how crooked the types I was facing were, after I'd researched their backgrounds, read their feedback and identified their false addresses... And even though I completely understood that some of the "Different" companies I was considering were actually secretly the same company - somehow I still felt tempted by their alluring prices. Not enough to pull the trigger, mind you, but definitely enough to have me hesitating, sweating, and pacing the floor for days - wishing there was a better way.

Then by some stroke of absolute luck, I called Scott Cantrell from Tapeworks Texas. Suddenly everything changed. I wasn't referred to as "Buddy" anymore. I wasn't rushed. I wasn't up-sold and I wasn't pushed around like a tourist on a NY subway during rush hour. Scott called me "Sir," gave me more information than I even knew to ask about, and offered me prices that set me and my "No money to burn" demeanor completely at ease.

It's been a while now since my first purchases from Scott. There have been many since. And to this day, before I buy anything, the first thing I do is call Scott Cantrell at Tapeworks Texas. His prices, service, advice and abilities are a rare and valuable find.

And so is our resulting friendship. If Pro-Audio/Video is your market, call Scott and see for yourself.

"Overall the buying experience with TapeWorks Texas was great. My first experience with the company was Brian Pool answering on the FIRST ring and fully answering all of my initial questions. I placed my order that day (JVC 40" LTFN97 - The TV is great!) Brian continued to update me on my order without having to be asked. "Excellent pricing, service, and delivery on a very expensive big screen set. Brian kept me aware of where things stood at all times, and after the sale made sure the replacement bulb certificate (which JVC had forgotten to include in the shipment) was sent to me.

When the set developed a problem about three weeks later, they found the best local authorized service center to help me resolve it.

I would definitely buy from them (and Brian) again.
