"With upcoming pool parties and trips planned, I bought a new pair of boardshorts mid-way through summer on Surfride.com. Seemed simple enough ... little did I know what a mistake this would be.

I received the boardshorts in a reasonable amount of time. However, Surfride sent me the wrong size. Given what I know now, this is probably not a random mishap. I immediately ordered a return receipt and sent the boardshorts back the next morning to exchange the boardshorts for the correct size. At that point, I was just hoping I would receive them by the next weekend.

Nearly a WEEK passes, and I email Surfride. Only after I email them do they inform me that they don't have the correct size, they can't get the correct size, and that they will be issuing a full refund. Why do I have to be the one to initiate this contact to find out that I won't be getting my boardshorts? At this point, it almost seems little shady. It gets worse ...

More than a week passes since I was promised a refund, and the refund has not been posted to my account. I'm lucky I checked this. By this point, I have ordered and received the boardshorts from Killer Dana (which I highly recommend). Once again, I email Surfride, this time inquiring about the refund. They claim a "glitch" in their system resulted in me not receiving a refund and thank me for contacting them. Right ...

At this point, I'm wondering whether this company is actively trying to rip me off or simply just doesn't care about it's customers. Either way, it doesn't seem right. I order stuff online all the time, and I've never had any trouble remotely close to this. I would definitely think twice before ordering from Surfride. Order from Killer Dana, Swell.com, or similar reputable retailers.

"The service and follow up is definitely one of the best I received while purchasing on the internet, The guys were so on top of the situation, I needed my board to arrive before my surf trip and they made it sure it happened. The board was packed really well and all was exactly as described. My contact at Surf Ride was Tom and he did an excellent job by keeping my updated all the time, whether it was on the phone or by email, I really appreciated all the work they did and was so happy with my purchase, thanks again Tom for everything and all the team from Surf Ride!"

"I am very happy and satisfied with the purchase of my new surfboard. The shipping was extremely fast and the board was packaged very well. I contacted SurfRide to ask a few questions regarding the size board and fins I should purchase. They walked me through the entire process and took all the time I needed. They are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. I definitely would buy from them again.
