"The owner of SubPress is an absolute tyrant. He feels like he can do whatever he wants with absolutely no regard for the customer or good customer service. I've ordered two books from this company in the past and both were shipped way late with no explanation or warning. I tried calling to confirm shipment 5 times a day (literally) for an entire week but could not get anyone to pick up a phone EVEN ONCE. I was left with just an empty feeling in the pit of my stomach like I got ripped off. Wouldn't you be at this point?

Fast forward to several months later when one of the books finally shows up on my doorstep and I'm completely shocked. I should have reported it to my credit card company and disputed the charge, but I'm glad I didn't because I finally received the book, just months and months late. The other book was a preorder so I completely understood that I wouldn't be able to get it until the book was published.

Then yesterday I ordered a third book from SubPress with a special request. Anyone who ordered before Jan 31, 2007 would receive a bonus item with the book they ordered. I ordered Mar 6, 2007 and mentioned that it would be nice if I could get the bonus item since I've been a very good customer of theirs in the past. Also I said their decision to include the item would impact my future buying decisions with SubPress. Which is natural and obvious, but usually goes unsaid. If they don't value me as a return customer and treat me as such, then I simply won't be a return customer anymore.

Like a tyrant maniac Bill (the owner) emailed me back to say that I was threatening him and it wasn't a good way to get what I wanted. What threat? If I call Comcast to get my monthly payment for cable lowered (which I do) and they don't value me and tell me just to go elsewhere, then I will. But what does Comcast do? They lower my payment every single time because they value me as a customer. Furthermore he said he wouldn't do business with me in the future under any circumstances. This is more proof he doesn't care about customers and doesn't want customers. I'm actually glad too because I wouldn't want to do business with them ever again anyway after the way I've been treated like scum. If they don't value my money I'll take it elsewhere, thank you.

Do not ever order from SubPress. They DO NOT value you as a customer, they just want your money and don't ever want to hear a single complaint or special request. You will have nothing but trouble dealing with this company. Its maniac owner is an idiot and doesn't mind losing business because he treats his customers badly. That should tell you all you need to know.
