Accused me of returning a counterfeit product

"I meant to buy a UE Megaboom 3 but accidentally ordered the smaller Boom 3, so asked for a refund on the same evening the package was delivered.

I had opened the box, could see that there was no sign of usage or damage to the product, so I sent it back, trusting that it would be a simple transaction.

They contacted me to say there would be no refund as the serial numbers of the box and product did not match. I asked them to double check because that made no sense at all - I asked if they had got the box and product mixed up on their end?

They replied accusing me of switching the product with another faulty product...I asked for clearer images to see the serial numbers and, miraculously, the product had damage to it - not something that was raised before.

To be absolutely clear - the images they sent me were not the product I unboxed and returned. If there had been damage to it, I would have specified when asking for a refund. These people are thieves and I've taken the images to the police to see if there are any other allegations against them.

My guess is they repackage dodgy goods, put a fresh seal on the box, sell them as new - and if anyone catches them out like I have - they claim that it's the customer who's screwing them over...

Avoid like the plague

PURCHASE OF AIR PURIFIER

"PURCHASED AIR PURIFIER UNIT WHICH BECAME FAULTY AFTER 9 DAYS AND THEY ARRANGED COLLECTION FOR A REFUND AS I REQUESTED. WHEN I ASKED WHEN I WOULD RECEIVE MY REFUND I WAS TOLD IN THEIR WORDS "CURRENTLY UPTO 14 DAYS, NORMALLY SOONER". FROM ALL THE EMAILS I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THEM THERE WAS NOT ONE APOLOGY, NOT FOR THE ITEM BECOMING FAULTY OR THE FOR THE DELAY IN THE REFUND UP UNTIL YESTERDAY AFTER 2 WEEKS WHEN I MENTIONED IT. NOW THEY SAY I WILL GET MY REFUND ON OR BEFORE THE 12TH AUGUST AND IN THEIR WORDS "WE ARE WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION OF A REFUND FROM FELLOWES". I PURCHASED THE UNIT FROM STUFF-UK NOT FELLOWES THE MANUFACTURER OF THE UNIT SO THAT IS THEIR PROPLEM NOT MINE. IMAGINE IF ALL RETAIL OUTLETS HAD THAT ATTITUDE OVER THE RETURN OF FAULTY GOODS PURCHASED AND THEIR CUSTOMERS HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE SUPPLIERS OR MANUFACTURERS SETTLED WITH THEM FIRST. AVOID AND BUY ELSEWHERE. I HAVE NOW PUT IN A CLAIM THROUGH PAYPAL TO GET MY REFUND ..........

"Please avoid this company at all costs. I am giving you the full story before he rebukes it with lies. I would love to put pictures on here but am unable to. I am reviewing him on lots of sites with the same review, so if I find one where I can, you will see why I am so annoyed by this "company".

We ordered a UPS from this company before coming to Greece. Prior to placing this order, I had an phone call with Jim Gordon to establish whether it could be delivered to Greece. We explained that it would need to go to a local, trusted delivery point and that we wouldn’t be able to collect it and check its condition until our arrival on 15th August. Jim assured us that this wouldn’t be a problem. As arranged, we picked up the delivered parcel on our arrival in Greece. The outer packaging was in immaculate condition with untampered stuff-UK.net tape sealing the box so we had no reason to suspect there was a problem.

On the morning of 16th August, my son – who is an IT professional – opened the package. It was immediately clear that the product box was damaged. When my son opened the box, he immediately spotted three visible cracks on the UPS, as though the item had been dropped pre-transit. He could hear parts moving around within the unit.

When my son plugged the UPS in, it became clear that, although power was going to the unit, it would turn off as soon as anything was plugged into it even though the battery was charged to 100%.

The UPS is in no way fit for purpose.

I contacted Alan Stanley immediately to explain the issue. His response has been that we should have opened the package within 48 hours of delivery to the collection point, even though the company had been told from the outset that it wouldn’t be possible.

He has refused to refund, replace or repair the item and has suggested we send it back to the UK at our cost in perfect working condition, which is clearly impossible as we’ve been sent a broken unit.

Having explained our travel plans clearly from the outset, well before the order was placed, this outcome is unacceptable.

Buy from this company at your peril.

Check the part number, product description, photo and price all match.......

"I recommend that before ordering from this company you check very carefully the part number, product description, photo and price all match that of the manufacturers website and are what you actually want.

This was my first order and it will be my last as in the end I paid more than I would have from Apple direct!!!.

I ordered 2 Apple watch bands based on website photo, product description and competitive price compared to Apple online.

One watch band came correct so I opened and kept it. One was not as I believed I had ordered. I returned it unopened.

Stuff then advised that they had supplied by apple part numbers which were shown on their website. On investigation the part numbers did not match with the description and photo.

I believed I had kept the lower priced item but this was because I was unaware of apple part numbers and was relying on a photo and description.

It turned out I had actually kept the higher priced item as per the part number!

You live and learn.

From now on I will always cross check part no matches description and photo before I sign up to an apparent bargain

"ordered 2 16gb corsair secure flash drives and due to a listing price error on amazon they want to send me ''REFURBISHED 256MB HP DDR1 RAM'' which is literally not even worth 10p as somebody who works in IT its BS avoid like t he plauge"

Brilliant Retailer

"I would absolutely recommend this company. I did read a few bad reviews but like every company, sometimes things don't go to plan every time. After buying from them though I can say they were brilliant with the order and when I got in touch with them they were very quick at replying by email compared to some of the larger companies.

My order wasn't picked and packed by them, it was dispatched from a supplier which I assume they have arrangements with. Parcel came quicker than there 2-3 day time, it was here the next day.

Customer support was really good, very helpful and they confirmed that my order was in stock. Overall I am very happy with the dealing with Stuff UK and will be shopping with them again in the future.

Many of there products are cheaper than their rivals which is what made me choose them. Don't be put off by the bad reviews or the fact you may of never heard of them. They are a smaller company who are a pleasure to deal with.

Don't get caught out

"Purchased headset for my son Christmas present, to use with his x box one, checked they were compatible purchased on 28th November 2016. The headsets are compatible only if you order extra items for them to work. Asked for a refund on 3rd December 2017 as the office has been closed festive period. Was informed 30 day no refund agreement that's stuff -uk, net customer service. Very poor customer service don't use them don't get conned, will be sending same article on to face book "

I would buy again only if they had PayPal (I would mind charge me something extra).
I had to go to the bank and make a wire transfer (something that costs a lot) because in my country banks haven't adopted VerifiedByVisa which this shop requires so.

"Eher zufällig fand ich stuff-uk.net und war nach einer kurzen Kontaktaufnahme angenehm überrascht, dass selbst ein Versand nach Deutschland zu einem moderaten Preis völlig unkompliziert möglich ist.
Jede Anfrage per mail wurde extrem schnell sehr kompetent beantwortet, ein überraschend guter Shop mit qualifizierten Beratern im Kundendienst und einem excellenten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Der Versand von GB nach D verlief trotz der logistischen Herausforderungen durch das Wetter Anfang Januar extrem schnell. Auch bei späteren Rückfragen erfolgte umgehend eine stets gut beratende und problemlösende Antwort.

"We had some sad news my husbands sister in Ireland passed away last Sun Mon we received the funeral arrangements so my daughter in surrey sorted out flights for us on line to travel this thurs come back sat she forwarded the information to me,I have a HP Color lasejet printer and my Yellow toner was empty so I could not Print off I found this company on my website I only ordered the Toner at 5.30pm 09/02/09 and next day at 8am my Toner arrived such excellent service this is the first time I have used this company in the past it has taken two to three days for ink to arrive so I would reccomend Stuff-uk to everyone I shall certainly use them for all my stationary requirements Well Done to all the Team Thank You Patricia Butler"
