"just want to let everyone know how helpful sandra at stars dancewear was for our sizes and custom color we needed to match our sneaks. she took so much time helping me --i am new at ordering for this competition team. sandra's customer service was beyond--she followed up with phone calls , went through each dancer's size and helped me figure out the correct size outfit. i am telling everyone at the school! and all the girls looked amazing on stage!"

"we never ordered from stars before. but took a chance -- we wanted one of their jackets for our team. we placed our order and received a 4 week ship date. which was just before our competition. we were totally nervous! but it came early--and we liked the jackets. we give an A to them--they knew our deadline and didn't miss it."

"I haven't had such a bad experience with a retail company in a long time! I ordered two sequined jackets from them on a day that they had a 30% off sale posted. When I finished the order form and typed in the discount code, I was informed that the 30% was for orders of over $150.00. When I went back and reread their website I couldn't find anywhere on it that mentioned that the discount was only for $150.00 or more. That's really close to a bait and switch tactic.

I finally made the order and found out that they only use FedEx shipping. Since I don't have a lot of extra money at the moment, I had to choose the regular FedEx ground option which was $11 and said "will ship within 30 days, minus weekends and holidays." I ordered two jackets from Hot Topic on the same day, paid $4 for shipping, and received the jackets within 3 days.

I waited for the jackets...and waited... and waited... and waited. I received two catalogs in the mail before I even got an email saying the jacket had been shipped. I called Stars Dancewear to ask about the jackets and was told that they would be coming in a week. I asked if they would stop sending catalogs and they said the wouldn't do it unless I asked per email.

The jackets finally came yesterday, 4 days after they said they would. The ribbing on the jackets is so thin that a couple washes will stretch it out to nothing. The sequins on the front look ok, but there's no lining on the inside of the jackets and the sequins poke through on the seams. So in order for us to wear these jackets while dancing, we'll either need to sew a liner in ourselves or wear a long sleeved shirt to stop the sequins from cutting the hell out of our skin while we dance. There's also multiple threads and wire hanging out from the jackets in different places.

I will never EVER buy from these guys again. Those jackets were $32 each and now we're stuck with something we can't use until we make further changes. I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE FIRST REVIEW FOR STARS DANCEWEAR BEFORE ORDERING FROM THEM.

"This company advertises on their website they sell warm ups, we purchased 39 sets of these "warm ups" to replace our current dance team warm ups. What we received was a single layer thin polyester jacket and pants, that was in no way what we expected. The "warm ups" are more like a non-functional costume of what I warm up should be. When I complained to the woman at stars dancewear, she explained to me that these are not "warm" "warm ups". I pressed my point that they should not be advertising these as warm ups if they are not real warm ups - or I guess in her words "warm,warm ups". She offered to exchange for another item - but since they do not sell real warm ups - I had nothing to exchange and she refuses to refund my money. We were mislead by stars dancewear and we are out of pocket $2500 and now have to find another place to purchase actual "warm" warm ups. This is so wrong, it's no wonder they have a "no refund" policy and little description on the product.

The company called me to offer me a 25% discount on the current order. They figure, if I can make 25% more on the sell to my customers then I should be happy. She even ended the conversation with "well, we tried....".

I did not recieve what they advertised - they are willing to take the uniforms back, but only on store credit. My point is, I did not get the item I thought I was getting, if you are ok with taking it back on trade, then take it back on the reason I stated - it was not what I though I was getting and you need to do the right thing and refund this purchase, make an exception and do the right thing, refund my money.
