"I recently purchased a computer from Starfish Tech for the purpose of playing some of the latest games. Having built my own systems for an number of years, I am pretty familiar with the internals of a system, and I am aware of a number of "features" I dont like (such as useless software running resident, or a variety of motherboard limitations/features). For this reason I looked for a company unlike Dell, or Gateway that could provide solid system.
One of the companies I found in my search was Starfish Tech. They had pretty good pricing and I was really happy about what they had to offer component wise. I checked out some of their reviews gave them a call. After speaking with some of the sales staff in a number of conversations, Starfish Tech sold me. They were able to answer all of my technical hardware questions and were also familiar with the gaming titles I had in mind. After a few discussions I felt pretty confident in their ability to produce a system I would be happy with and decided to give them a shot.
Shipment of the system was done in a reasonable amount of time, and the product arrived ready to go out of the box. I was intially impressed by the system setup. The appearance of the system was superb, with an obvious attention payed to detail. In addition the Windows XP installation was done just as I like it. All the lastest driver updates were in place (including windows updates), the system was clean of any resident software. In addition the BIOS appeared to be setup with performance and stability taken into account and this was also updated to the latest version. Starfish Tech included more then enough component information with my system which will come in handy when I need to upgrade down the line. So far I have not had any had any hardware reason to call technical support, but I have placed some calls about some of the games I am running and they have been very helpful on that end. Overall I would have to say I am a happy camper. If the standard Starfish Tech experience is anything like mine, they must have alot of happy customers. Kudos to Starfish Tech!

"Mixed bag. I love their unique case lighting system and decided to order two blue ones. Well, turns out they were out of stock. I had to e-mail them to find this out. They were back in stock quickly but I never did receive an invoice or tracking number. I finally e-mailed them to inquire about the order. Ironically I got home from work and they had arrived. The next day I finally received my tracking number.
For me the product justified my putting up with the poor communications. They are the only game in town that I know of that sells that light at the price I wanted to pay. However, I would be pretty worried if I was ordering a couple grand PC and got that kind of treatment.
If you deal with them just make sure to stay on their case."
"I received my LS 1700 XP home computer system damaged thanks to the nice people at UPS and within 4 days Starfish Tech got another system out to me, and took back the damaged pieces without question, shipping at their cost even. It is a very captivating computer that runs fast and handles all task very good up to thus far. I am very proud of purchase I made. The work that was done with Starfish Tech is top notch. I have been playing with it for almost 8 hours straight now, right out of the box! "
