"I ordered a $600 item in Dec 8 and they quickly called me to say the bank may reject the order because the shipping address is different than billing. I changed it, they imeediatly charged my card, then sent an email saying order is complete and tracking info in their web site. There is NO tracking info and they have ignored all my emails and phone calls. Filing a BBS complaint today and disputing charges with card company. Terrible company, DO NOT buy from these people. "
"So far, I would not place an order with Star Marine ever again. They charged Paypal, which charged my account and then they emailed me and said the transaction is held up in their system and they need me to re-submit. Their Customer Service team is awful and I've left 2 messages and emails and no one has called me back after 5 hours. I regret not just buying through Amazon."

"I wish I'd have read these reviews prior to placing an order with these people. It feels like's it's a guy and his wife in their pajamas hold up in their living room. You will never get a real person on the line and if you make a mistake or need some help with an order, forget it. Their prices are good which caused me to go ahead and make a purchase but the old saying "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" definitely applies. I've spent more trying to correct an order mistake than if I'd have gone to the most expensive place and still no resolution. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!"
"Customer service contacted me after a delivery attempt and never provided any delivery information until after a delivery attempt. Wasn't told Order required signature. Wouldn't cancel the order. Charged $470 for frght and restock on a $600 filet table. Star Marine Depot Made false statements on the sequence of events when I disputed the charge to my credit card company. "

"These dirtbags absolutely **** at customer service. The nasty lady who finally answered the phone only because I repeatedly called back non stop for over an hour- was absolutely rude. She constantly interrupts and talks over you. She never once apologized for the horrible lack of customer service. I called 5 min before they closed and was given a message they they are closed......The email confirming the order has an 866 phone number that's not in service. The store hours on the email are wrong. The warehouse that shipped my order was out of state and I was not told that before placing the order, so now it's over a week waiting, have to CANCEL my boating plans this weekend. **** this place"

We received an electronic component that was supposedly new, but was obviously scuffed and used, and which had missing parts. They said it was not their fault as it had been shipped directly from the manufacturer," but mysteriously, the return address on the box was their location.
They do say, in their return policy, that they do not refund shipping, and this is apparently true even when the problem originated with them. They refused to refund shipping either way - it was a valuable lesson learned for a mere $29.00... In their defense, however, it must be mentioned that we did receive notification that a refund was to be processed in just under a month from our first complaint. Such snappy office work should count for something, right?
