Unreliable online store

"Ordered a router on xmas (i'm aware that there will be delays due to the season). The router still hadn't shown up (as of the 31st) and the online tracking tool showed "No result found." After contacting customer service (CS) I was informed that a delivery attempt was made today. I clarified with CS that I have front door cameras which showed no delivery attempts. CS then mentioned that “They will investigate on this and will update you in 1-2 business days.” So now I have to wait even longer before they decide what to do with me.
Unless staples.ca has a super deal, go to amazon. The price will likely be the same and they will actually deliver, not make up some BS excuse.

Online sales disaster

"Ordering delivery online is very risky if there's the slightest problem. Their system is incompetent. In my case I left a signed authorization form on the door to leave inside my house porch. The driver was not even trained to look at that note. Delivery has not been made, after two weeks. Their tracking system is completely inept. Some section of the page says Delivered instead of delivery ATTEMPT. Another detailed section does not show any delivery. They require a signature for delivery and don't have one. Online messaging gets no response. Now I need to get into a war about my credit charge.
They've been told for years that the tracking system is erroneous. They are out of their minds.

staples online shopping

"i bought my new cyberpower pc on the staples.ca website and i found it to be very easy and enjoyable to do. the website had all the information that i needed on the computer not to mention it had the best price out of the other sellers. for an online shopping experience it was one of my best as it was easy to see what i was looking for and it was a quick process to finalize payment. shipping was fast and my computer was all in one piece and it came with everything that it said it would. "

on line order disasters

"Its black Friday and staples emails you a $40.00 voucher so you place an order and print your order summary.
You do not get your order or a followup email so you call in. You are told that you never placed and order and must be 'confused'. So later you are at the printer and pick up the confirmation and call back in and state that you do not have 'confusion'.
You are passed to the head of customer service who after several days and you taking the time to copy the order confirmation you are told you are 'two weeks late in calling in' and that they had no problem with their order system. You inform him the fact that their system generated an order confirmation that by definition this defines there was a system problem and if they continue to brush off original call ins they will never know about their system problem.
So today the same 'head' of customer service calls in and states he cannot honour the black Friday price but will give $50.00 off. You inform him that the competitors are offering today the same black Friday price. So he sends you on a hunt to find and send him a competitors price so he can price match it. Now clearly your time has no value as he could have checked and realized what his competition was/is doing in the very beginning (days ago) and he could have resolved 'his problem' in the very beginning.
This is yet another example of a recurrent problem related to the on line order program of staples. This is not a problem with the buyers but is a clear example of the problem with the staples infrastructure and supervisors. The local store is fine.
CONCLUSION: Extremely bad customer service.

Worst experience ever I've had

"Worst experience. I bought a device from them, didn't work with Android. Wanted to return, they told me the device S/N and box don't match.
The manager was very offensive. I asked should I open everything I buy from you and check all these things before buying?
She told me" that would be your choice, I can't educate you how to purchase" .
Will never go back to any #Staples store. If you want to buy s.t. from them, First open and check everything in front of the cashier.

"Staples is a horrible company to deal with. A few years ago I bought a backpack for my daughter which came with an "unlimited guarantee". A few months into the school year the zipper failed so I took it, along with the receipt and the original unlimited guarantee tags, back to Staples for a replacement. Staples refused to replace the backpack or refund my money and said instead that I needed to make a claim with the manufacturer. The only problem was that there was no mail or email address on the backpack and Google searches for the brand name turned up nothing.

This year my daughter bought me a clip light for Father's Day. The light worked for a week and now only works sporadically as it appears to have a loose connection somewhere inside. I returned it to Staples for a replacement and was told that it was a promotional item that was no longer in stock and could not be located within the companies inventory system. Because I don't have the original receipt (because it was a gift), I was again told to contact the original manufacturer. Unfortunately there is no brand name on the flashlight so I am left with a dead flashlight. I am now trying to explain to my daughter how we have to be careful where we spend our savings as some companies are happy to take your money and provide no service if there's any problem.

I will try to never shop at Staples again.

"My MAC AIR was delayed before the boxing day, got it 10 days later after per call a day and got $50 compensation from staples. After I submit my feedback, the staples gave me another $40 compensation. This never happens during my shopping. In my mind, retailer seems be reluctant to compensate their customers even customers request. While Staples took its responsibility on their problem on its own initiative, it is impressive. The problem was caused by the unavailable information of delivery which needs learn from best buy though customers can get a call to confirm the delivery time from staples. I think it is useful to show the delivery information let customers track the delivery as well."

"Staples participated in the HP Touchpad firesale. They let me know about this online: "available in store or online". At the time of the advertising appeared, the item was out of stock. Fair enough, if they don't have it, what can they do? OK it is falsely advertised, but the sale came like a storm, understandable.

However, Saturday night the stock appeared online and was available until sold out 5 minutes later. I placed my order during this 5 minutes.

Next day I am informed, the item is out of stock and the order can't be fulfilled. That is all they said. I sent them two emails asking about the situation, the never answered.

Now I understand, Staples has so called "phantom stocks" appear every Saturday during the night for items not available in their warehouses. Bad policy if you ask me. If you don't have anything to sell, don't advertise it and don't show it "in stock" online ever. But if you are willing to do this, at least make some effort to allocate the already sold stock somehow from the company who makes the product (like Datavis did during the sale... heck, companies still trying their best to allocate those Touchpads. Staples? Does nothing, Bravo!)

Telling customers the very next day of a sale, that the item they ordered is not available is not cool. Make an effort Staples if you screw up something!

"Where's my order Staples?

First Staples didn't deliver mine when they said they would since the truck apparently ran out of time (thanks Staples for not calling to let me know and leaving me on hold for 20 mins when I called to find out)

Then Staples canceled my order and now claims that the driver tried to deliver it Friday but couldn't since my number was busy (the buzzer system is tied into the phone) when he came by (I'd bellieve that if that's what they told me the first time).

When I wrote to enquire why I was told two different reasons why the driver didn't come by I got a long winded statement that basically said poor communication between truck and warehouse. They ended the mail with "We thank you for your patience in this matter".

The word patience made me wonder if they were going to be be bringing in a replacement from another district (since it went out of stock after my order) however when I asked them that they said no however they invited me to continue to check their website for other products to purchase. How nice of them.
