They don’t care

"They don’t care. I purchased an item and I received a different color. Even though on the website picture shows a specific color (Red wheels) I received bright orange color. Immediately contact them and they said I am more than welcome to return the item but I will have to pay for shipping. Even though I didn’t even open it. Just saw the color through the paper wrap. I just received a “You are welcome to do that if you wish.” answer when o told you I will open a dispute. I purchased this overpriced item just for the color, So if you have a White bike with red wheels and want to match your bike, this is not the stand for you. "

Always be informed...Bad Company!

"I have done business with STG for over 10 years. Things have changed! Placed an order for several items totaling just under $300US. It took weeks to receive any type of shipment confirmation.
-- I never received the shipment/merchandise.--
Three weeks after shipment FedEx still showed it "in transit". FedEx sais "contact seller". It's been over a month and I still have not received anything. Sportbiketrackgear will not return any phone calls and my request for a refund has been denied by Sportbiketrackgear. I've put a claim in with PayPal and I am still awaiting the outcome of that. Sportbike track gear was paid via PayPal and the amount was paid same day as the order. And NOW, STG, has left me hanging ever since with no customer service, and no refund. I Ordered from one of their competitors and I had everything I ordered three days later on my doorstep.
Out of the thousands and thousands of dollars that I have spent with STG, they've decided to screw me over $300.

Best place to get sportbike gear or parts

"If you are looking for sports bike parts or gear this is hands down the Best company around to buy from. They go the extra mile to help you with whatever you need. They ship super fast when everyone else takes forever because of covid. The owner is awesome. Their prices are the best around and their reward program is great. Cant say enough good things about them Definitely recommend 100%. Also check out their YouTube alot of useful videos. "

Appalling treatment over the phone

"Am appalled at the customer service that was just received today regarding the sale of an old tyre. Ordered new tyres for a Sportsbike and received one fantastic tyre for the back and a dusty, dry old one for the front that was 3 years old. When a call was made to enquire as to why such a clearly old tyre was sent when it was needed for a sports bike and can be quite dangerous to use on a track, the man named Jake who took the call claimed that there was nothing he could do as it was “my problem” and I am a “know it all”.
I am simply disgusted at the way he spoke on the phone. It is an absolute disgrace that anyone thinks they could speak to someone like that, let alone a customer. Originally would have highly recommended these to everyone whereas after treatment like that I would take my business elsewhere.

Great Prices, Great Gear

"I have been purchasing from SportbikeTrackGear.com for years. They are my goto for closeout gear... as there prices blow everyone away at closeout time. They have great products, shipping is good and I have never had an issue with quality. Many years ago I had to exchange something for a different size... what I recall, the process was painless."

My first order through ...

"My first order through SportbikeTrackGear.com was a great experience. It's tough these days to find a business that actually cares about the service and product they provide and I appreciate that tremendously.

I ordered a jacket from them and I knew ahead of time that it might be too small. The jacket is discontinued so I could already see that they didn't have the next larger size in stock. I was prepared to try it on and return if it didn't fit correctly.

I placed the order, didn't pay anything extra for shipping and I had the jacket in 2 days. The jacket ended up being too small so I used the provided return label which cost me $9.95. They received the jacket in just a few days and I was provided a full refund (except the $9.95 for the shipping label).

The process from the day I ordered until the day I was refunded was 8 days. AMAZING! The $9.95 return fee is worth the convenience of having it delivered to my door as well as the piece of mind knowing you will not be stuck with a piece of gear you cannot use. Also I now know that size 48/38 is too small for me.

The only negative is that I had to drive a 30 minute round trip to fedex to return the package. I'm not going to take off a star for this as I feel a consumer should have some responsibility in order to maintain a good relationship with the business.

"I ordered the RS taichi jacket after going over the sizing with the customer care. The jacket was shipped and I had to pick it up from the local post office. Since I went to pick it up on my bike I had to ride back wearing it and it didn't fit right. I went back to the post office and put it into the original packaging with the tags and shipped it back the very next day. The customer care wouldn't accept it back or offer a store credit. Their explanation was that if I put the jacket into a plastic bag and sat on it while riding back home(on a highway) instead of riding with it they would consider the return. Please do not purchase anything from them. Even my local cycle gear accepts a 90 day return."

"Bought from them online, never had a problem. Items arrived fast, and without any issues. Would buy from them again! Unfortunately they do not have any sort of Cashback reward system. Although they do give out a Track bike for FREE every year!!"

"Poor customer service, will never deal with them again. They sell things they don't have in stock. Bought and paid for a Alpinestars jacket on sale. They said that the jacket that was on sale was sold out, but they could sell me THE SAME jacket for full price since they sold out the one on sale."

"Timeline.
05/22 - I ordered EXO 500 helmet online and received the confirmation immediately. As usual, I wanted the helmet to be delivered to work (and never had a problem with it).
05/23 - I receive two emails. One saying that everything is ready for shipping and the other contained the following message: "PLEASE CALL ***-***-**** AND SPEAK WITH A SALES REP TO RELEASE THIS PACKAGE
FOR SHIPPING AND TO CONFIRM THE SHIPPING ADDRESS. THANK YOU"

Yes, in CAPS. This never happened to me before, so I thought it was some sort of a mistake.

05/25 - I did not have time to call them (also due to the different time zones) until Wednesday, 05/25, when I left them a very polite message inquiring about the status of my purchase. My card was charged that day as well.

05/27 - No reply. So I emailed them Thursday night and that's what I get Friday afternoon:

PLEASE CALL ***-***-**** AND SPEAK WITH A SALES REP TO RELEASE THIS PACKAGE FOR SHIPPING AND TO CONFIRM THE SHIPPING ADDRESS. THANK YOU

Seriously? Okay, I called the guy. Left a message (still polite, but in, ehem, angry tone), because nobody bothered to answer (during their business hours).

Then I thought: "How about posting a reply to their video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhwcbENPm8A ?" Damn, that worked! I got all nasty and described the situation and made a conclusion that doubted the quality of their customer service. I immediately, literally within several minutes, got a reply that (FINALLY!) told me what the problem was and that I am not supposed to post those kinds of comments on youtube and (sic!) I GOT BANNED! They also deleted some of my comments. I forwarded that youtube reply to their CS with my answer and demanded the helmet to be shipped that day or money back.

Result: "We cancelled your order and are refunding you in full. Please choose another vendor." Way to go, sportbiketrackgear.

So, the reason for them not to ship my helmet was that my "billing and shipping address are different and they raised a fraud flag in the system". Therefore I have several questions for them. Unfortunately, those are probably to remain unanswered.
1) Why would they bother having an option for a different shipping address at all then?
2) Why would they make me call them? I buy the stuff online for a reason, that is, minimum time to make an order. If they need to hear my voice so much - why not call me?
3) Why do they ignore their voicemail and then blame the customer for "ignoring their emails"?

To summarize, the vendor did not do much to ensure that the customer receives his stuff.

The trade has always been about the customer satisfaction, the foundation of the dealer's reputation. I believe it is unacceptable for the vendor, especially nowadays, to do a sloppy job, then blame the customer for it and at the end leave him stranded without the product with his time and nerves wasted.

I will never buy from them again and will always recommend others not to either.

P.S. That guy Ryan, whom I left a message on 05/27, called me eventually on 05/31. He said in a plain bored voice, "I have information you purchased a helmet and then got a refund." I asked, why he was calling. He said, "I have a voicemail, so I called back. Do you want anything else?" Good timing, man.

"Terrible inventory management. Placed an order for a suit and received an order confirmation a minute later. 2 hours later I get an email telling me they sold out. Customer service isn't willing to provide an equivalent substitution either. Disappointed with the way things went down."
