"Great prices, reasonable selection, shipping prices are so/so. I have ordered several tiems from Sofistic and plan to do more in the future. UPS pick-up sometimes takes a few days (UPS's fault, not the shipper), but have never had a lost/misplaced/incomplete shipment. In fact, I have recommened their site to friends, and have seen Sofistic upgrade their order when they were out of stock of the correct item. Example: Friend ordered KT266A motherboard with integrated sound, instead, received KT333 motherboard with integrated sound, NIC, and RAID for the same price.
As long as you do no expect to get your package in under 3 days, they are fantastic. If you need something in the next 2 days, order from a different site.

"On July 13, 2002, I ordered a Micro ATX case with 300W power supply. Sent a personal check that same day. Recieved item on 8-1-2002. The shipping took a little while, but I am pleased with the business. Would recommend."

"Placed an order for a case & power supply on July 13th. As of July 23rd, it still hadn't shipped. Emailed support, was told case would ship on the 23rd or 24th. I was not given any reason for the delay. Its the 25th now, and I am canceling my order. Worst online buying experience EVER. I'm not asking for same-day shipping, but within three days would be nice. Over twelve days to ship an item is ridiculous."

"I ordered a case + power supply, ethernet card, and fans from this company. Packaged nicely. All came in good shape, and I must admit the prices are hard to beat at this site. Delivery took awhile, but that's only because I live one the other side of the USA. Package tracking was very easy as well. I'd recommend them for anyone looking for great prices."

"ordered a case+power supply from them. after 1 week, i received it severely damaged. they were very responsive in the emails (phone is always busy, and they never replied me when i left a message). they told me to contact UPS to file a claim. Haven't heard from them since. It's been almost a week since i filed the claim. I was hoping they would at least have the courtesy to ship me a replacement by now. i needed the case to put together a computer and test the other parts i purchased. I am very disappointed at them..."

"I've ordered 3 seperate times from Sofistic.com. Everything was excellent, packaging, online ordering, tracking, everything except their mailing system and pricing. While their products has exceptional pricing, their pricing on shipping and their slow shipping times are not so great. Still their great product prices often offsets the inflated shipping costs. And if you you don't mind waiting a week to 10 days for your product, you're certainly getting a good deal through them. (Never order anything next day or 2nd day from them though.) Also note while your shipping info my be posted by UPS, it may be another day or so before the package actually enters the system. So don't get too upset if the package doesn't show to be moving the same day the Billing Info is recieved. I will absolutely order from them again, but knowing it will take a week to 10 days to receive my order. I've called once concerning my order and did get someone on the phone."

"My brother and I ordered 2 Shuttle AK31 rev. 2.0 motherboards at a very nice price from them. The packages arrived on time and everything looked good. I installed the boards and everything worked great. For about 2 weeks that is. the mother board went bad. and i couldn't get ahold of them. i called the number on the web site and got a fax machine. then a couple months went by with me constantly trying to get through. and when i did they told me to use the online RMA page they have. which number 1, was semi confusing, and number 2 didn't work for me or my brother multiple times. eventually after a month of trying on my brothers part, he finally got an RMA number through the phone from them. I will definately not buy from them again. no matter how good the price is."

"I have ordered from Sofistic.com twice now. The first time I had abosutely no problems. The second time was about 6 months later, well after I had changed addresses. Even though my address changed, my phone number remained the same. On my order form in the SHIP TO section, I entered my new address, however my package was shipped to my old address. Apparently, there was a flaw in their database which stored my old address, and it pulled it by referencing my phone number when the shipping paperwork was completed. Luckily, I realized this while tracking it on the UPS website when I discovered the packaged was destined for the wrong city. I immediately tried to contact Sofistic via email and telephone. The only way I was able to communicate with anyone was through repeated attempts on the phone. (Don't bother selecting Sales or Operator from the phone menu. I could only get through on Support.) I was told that a call tag would be issued to UPS, and the package would be re-routed to my new address. However, after checking the tracking again, I realized that the package was destined to go all the way back to Sofistic. At that point I called back to demand that a new shipment with my order contents be sent via next day air. I did finally receive the package about 12 days after I had placed the order, which was frustrating considering I had anticipated a 2-3 day shipping time.

I found Sofitics's prices to be very competitive, and the quality of the products was good. However, I would be hesitant to order from them again based on the concern that their database may still be flawed.

"Will Not Use Again Here's Why
Placed order on 3/6/02 for $200+
Received email on 3/7/02 said order was on way and gave tracking #
checked ups site said received billing info, scheduled delivery 3/14/02 ( at this point I looked at my calendar wrong and thought that was next Fri. it was Thursday)
Friday 3/15/02 came and went no package (figured ups was running behind and I'd just have to wait till Monday)
Monday evening 3/18/02 came home no package, got worried, checked ups site, still said billing info received, called ups was told that a label had been printed at the store but ups had not received the package. Attempted to call Sofisticated sales line was busy, no one at operator line.
Figured it was late and had miss them so would call Tues.
Tues attempted to call all morning still same thing sales line busy, no one at operator line, so e-mailed them explanation of the situation said I needed the package by wend night. Tried calling that night lo and behold I actually talked to someone (it only took 15+ times and a phone message that was never returned) explained situation put me on hold for a moment came back and said problem was with ups and they would refund my money. Refund was posted 2 days later.
1) They are next to impossible to get a hold of
2) They are lacking in customer service they could of said " hey were sorry for the mix-up, we will overnight it to you and even give you a free doamafrachie for your inconvience" could have kept a customer and a $200+ order
3) On a different note the sales line always on hold, no one ever at the operator line, and whoever did their voice mail system sounds harsh and annoyed, they really need to work on this. They have no 800# so the least they could do is have someone man the phones.
Though they have good prices it doesn't make up for bad service I will not attempt to purchase from again (cheep prices may get them through the door but great service keeps them coming back)
