"On the morning of August 11 I had scheduled a broadcast message, due to be delivered at approx 0500 August 12, to 15 clients of my outdoor group fitness business. This was an operational message with information that was time critical.
The message was not delivered until 0627 August 12 making both the information in the message redundant and my business appear grossly unprofessional to my clients.
I submitted an enquiry to your support ****@**** requesting detail on why this outage had occurred and what assurances could be given that this will not happen again in the future.
The response received although timely was less than satisfactory only advising you had a database problem from 4:00 AM until 6:30AM and acknowledging that this delayed my messages from being sent. The reply also stated SMSBroadcast were "really sorry about that" adding 100 free credits to my account to cover the cost of those messages, "plus some extra credits in case I wanted to send another message to explain the delay". This gesture was appreciated but did not answer the original questions of my complaint nor did it resolve the issue with my clients being notified appropriately as their session was already completed by the time the original message arrived."
"Over 20 years I have built a large repository of mobile no's which tend to remain reasonably stable more so the than physical addresses or workplaces. The system allows me to send up to 2000 texts especially useful when I have a special event. Last year SMS broadcast announced that they would not charge for undelivered texts which means that every text will find the mark or it is free. Finally they keep it simple there is not endless updates that you have to keep up with, it is stable with all the features I need. Keep up the good work!"
