"I saw the Mailbox Minder at a friend's home and ordered one. The product works well, however it was difficult to get the batteries in the mailbox "sender" unit installed properly. There are springs at one end of the battery compartment and contacts at the other. Normally, batteries are inserted with the negative end of the battery toward the spring. In this unit, you have follow the battery diagram as one of the batteries has to be inserted with the positive end of the battery touching the spring... which was difficult to do. once I got the battery in place, it worked fine. I'm pleased with the unit, but the manufacturer should improve the battery compartment circuitry."
