"I am writing this regarding a product I purchased from Silicon Mobile Technology, Inc. I received a call from a sales rep in the beginning of December 2003. He introduced their company as a Notebook Manufacturer company. At the time, I told him I was not interested. He pursue for several weeks by offering me a demo of the product. I finally accepted the offer with the agreement that if I do not sell the notebook in 45 days, then I could return the notebook. I had to submit my credit card information to them before the notebook would be release. On the form they sent me in small print that at any time they have the right to take the money out of my business checking account. I had him to submit a letter explaining the agreement (which I will be submitting by mail). When I realize that I was not going to sell the notebook, I offer to send it back and they offer to discount it by a $100.00 to try moving it out of inventory. After several days I realize this was going to be difficult to sell this notebook because the competitive price was $150.00 cheaper. I explain that to them and told them that I wanted to send it back and they refuse to take it back. I knew they had my credit card number and they would have charge more if they would have use my credit card. The original price for the notebook was $1224.00, which was more than normal price. They discounted by $100.00 thinking it would make my selling price more competitive. I received a call on 3/4/04 and requested payment to be sent. I had my Office Assistant to make a payment of $562.00 on 3/4/04 and she faxed a copy of the check to him as well as mailed it. On that same day (3/4/04), unknown to me, he debited my account for $575.00. We also agreed to pay the balance in 30 days. Later, I discovered that no operating system ($99.00 value) came with their notebook, which they told me it would when a customer was interested in buying the notebook. But he called again on 3/23/04 and demanded payment for the balance, so I had my Office Assistant fax him a copy of a check for $463.00 and mail it to him. Overall we have paid a total of $1600.00 for a Notebook that is not even worth $1,000. We have been requesting a refund in the amount of $575.00 from this company since 4/5/04. He refused to return my calls and he is never end when I tried to reach him. Also I have found out letter through the Internet that they done it to other people as well. I had my bank to call and send a letter explaining the amount a money that have come out of my account for their notebook. We have tried everything to get our money back. We are a small company and $575.00 is a lot of money to us and we need our money. This company is a bad company. I think that I am going to give up but I am not. I am in the process of gathering other information from other victims of this scam and have it reported by NBC Dateline "

"BEWARE! This company is unbelievable! They talk you into sending a laptop to demo at tell you that it will not cost a dime if you don't sell it. THEN, ship you laptop that is overpriced and with no operating system and when you tell them you don't want to demo it, they try and make you pay shipping, even after stating that you would not have to! THEN ON TOP OF IT ALL, they charged our credit card $419 after they got the laptop back (which was in unused and perfect condition when they got it back). SO MUCH FOR NOT COSTING US A DIME TO LOOK AT IT!! I guess the fact they make you give them a credit card number before they ship you the (so called) demo should have sent up red flags!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!

We are undergoing fraud charges as we speak!
