The Worst Online Retailer

"I have been a long time shopper online with my TJmaxx Mastercard. Their shipping always seemed to take a long time. Last month I placed an order including a Butterfly Chair,
that said on my online order information would ship separately from the other items.
The other items finally arrived and after waiting several weeks I sent an email to customer service. Two days later they responded saying it was an inventory error and it was out of stock! I had disposed of the one it was replacing! I was SO ANGRY.
I placed another order on March 7th with an agent on line and saw no indication of an order days later on my account.
I called customer service and they said I did not get a confirmation because they did not have my email address. They too wondered why they all of a sudden did not have it.
She told me that she sees my order, and it would not be available to see in orders or trace till this week. I see nothing.
I love their prices, no stores on the East Coast so ordering online is the only way.
I order everyday, for all my purchases everywhere and have NO problems! Only
SierraTrading Post!!!!! REALLY BADLY run inventory control, Customer service and long
Shipping.

Tried to scam a loyal customer

"Ive spent over $1000 at sierra trading post this year on Carhartt clothing.
I recently ordered two exact jackets,except for color.
Full swing armstrong jackets,which are made in Mexico.
I purchased the same jackets,earlier in
the year, along with numerous other outerwear items.
They were closeouts at $49 each.
What I received was one correct jacket.
The second jacket was a much lighter jacket,more like a wind breaker,than a winter jacket.Model was J001,made in USA.
I prefer made in USA products,but this flimsy wind breaker is not worth $49.
What really made me angry,was someone obviously plastered stickers for the correct jacket I ordered..over the original Carhartt tag showing the item number.
the original J001 carhartt tag came with stickers marked Mexico.
I'm saving the jacket and tags as evidence.
wish I could post the photos..you'd laugh your **** off.

First and Last time ever ordering from them again!

"I made a purchase from them and they forgot to include one of the items in the package. I called them in the morning and a representative named "Patty" assured me that she will refund me. I waited a few hours and no email of a refund came to me. This time I did a live chat and spoke to "Alexandria." She said that no refund was ever processed and that she will do it. Why did the first rep lie to me about a refund? I don't know. So Alexandria processes the refund and for the inconvenience she said i will get emailed a $20 gift card for future use. I was happy until i checked my emails and of course what do I see? I got the refund for my item but no gift card emailed to me. Why do these reps lie so much to customers? Never shopping with them again because they are all liars!! "

Stay away from this company!

"I shipped a tent back to the Sierra Trading Post returns address via USPS and after about a month I realized I hadn't received the store credit that I discussed via email with Sierra Trading Post customer service. I contacted customer service and they indicated that they had not received the package and that it was delivered to a PO Box. When I checked the tracking information the address shipped to was not the PO box but for some reason the USPS had a note about a PO Box in the comments. I suspected it was a mistake on their part but I submitted a request with the USPS to verify the delivery address and they confirmed the package was delivered as requested to the returns address. Sierra Trading Post essentially disregarded and refused to acknowledge the USPS confirmation that it was delivered to their address even though I attached the confirmation to the email I sent them. There is zero chance that I'll ever order form them again and I would recommend everyone staying away if they don't wan't to get taken advantage of."

Obviously a different size and they lie about returns

"They sent me shoes that were obviously mis-sized, and the advertising and instructions for return were outright deceptive. They charge a restocking fee and bill you for shipping. They indicate this on the advertising by writing that this will be + to your credit. "+" in English means addition, and "-" means subtraction. Complete liars. Oh, and return website broken, of course.

Horrible shipping and customer service experience

"I an only echo what others have written. I placed an order and it just kept saying "in process" for days. Customer Service informed me about a system upgrade, which delayed shipments (I received the exact same explanation for another order several months ago). I was promised an upgrade to expedited shipping. After one week I received an email that the order shipped, minus one item due to an "inventory error". I contacted customer service again and asked why the upgraded shipping did not happen. The response was that there were no notes about that, and when I sent the chat protocol as proof, I was told nothing could be done since the order shipped. Will never order here again. Absolutely horrible store."

terrible customer service don't expect to get your order on time and complete no customer service at all!!!

"customer service is horrible, if you order online, don't expect your merchandise any time soon, it takes them over a week to actually ship your order plus the actual transit time of your merchandise, and you may not even get all of the items you ordered. i placed 3 separate orders within 2 months period and all 3 orders took over one week to process and ship. 2 of the orders shipped out incomplete... just horrible customer service, supervisors not available and don't return your phone calls.

i'm a long time customer but for the past year the service, order delivery and completeness as well as quality of the merchandise have bee very bad!!! will not be buying from them again and DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

Horrible customer service

"I was waste a lot of time to search on that website, placed the order, gave them all credit card information (TJX credit card). They sent me an E-mail to confirm that the order are processing. The day after, I log in to my account to check the order status, the website showed order has been canceled. I call them this morning, the customer service man checked and said that he didn't know why the order was been cancel, he will check and call me back. Since then I have ever never heard anything from them. Don't waste you time to shop with them, and get frustrated. "

I have been buying from this online retailer for years, but they just loast a customer.

"To put it bluntly, their fulfillment process is just too slow for a viable online retailer... My order was still in "processing" status this morning, 2.5 business days since I placed the order. In an era where amazon is now making same day deliveries, this is just not acceptable. It should have shipped next business day at worst. I needed the products in 7 days, and knowing they will often choose the cheapest ground method like FedEx Smartpost (which can take 7-10 days to deliver to my east coast location.) I went on their site and engaged their live chat and asked specifically: 1. When my order will ship and 2. will it arrive on or before the date I needed it. Chat rep answered neither question and just gave me a worthless canned messahe: "The order is processing now and will be shipping soon. Once it ships an email will be sent with a tracking number. ". I cancelled the order immediately since they could not answer my questions. They did not ask why. Just lost a customer"

Horrible customer service

" Every time I have attempted to have a gift card delivered I get a phone call telling me there’s a problem with the delivery
I spoke directly with the customer service representative yesterday to make sure there would be no issues about my credit card address or the email address as this was an e-card gift
The e-card was to be delivered today
I got a phone call telling me there was a problem with the delivery of the e-card and that I could call them tomorrow on Monday about the problem
Every time you attempt to have an e-card delivered this is what they do
I then spoke with a live chat person who could do nothing more then have me repeat all the information that I gave the representative yesterday
I explained that today is the person’s birthday and that it was to be delivered today and explained to her that I personally spoke with a representative yesterday and was told there would be no problem getting it delivered
Needless to say the card will now be late and this has happened every time I’ve had to deal with this company. Their service is atrocious and they really need to do something to expedite orders, especially when it is an e-card and it has a birthday date in which to be delivered. I have never had an issue with the credit card it’s just this company causing more delays and processing issues that are necessary. This is why I would never order anything for myself from this company. I only go through this nightmare for one person and have had this exact same experience each time. Whoever is running this company and setting such antiquated policies should be removed and replaced with someone that provides customer friendly policies

Bait and Switch

"What a scam! I received an email for 20% off non clearance items and free shipping over $50. Here's my email response to that email promotion after I followed the email link to see if I could use the promotion.
Dear STP,
I just wasted a bunch of time searching your site for descent stuff we can use.
1st: When I followed the link in this email which specifically states "free shipping...$50+..." I was greeted with a page that said "free shipping over $50" but after I added things to my "cart" and went to "check out" with three items totaling over $60 the shipping discount was not there. I double checked the site and now it says "over $89" for free shipping.
2nd: This email promotion claims 20% off if I follow the email links but no 20% discount is given in my Cart when trying to purchase (even though 2 of 3 items in my cart are not on clearance, etc., per your fine print).
You wasted my time with either a scam or some other problem.
If my time was worth more or less than it is, I'd report you for this bait-and-switch deception.
Unsubscribing. Adding to SPAM.

Lost Pkg - Poor Customer Service

"I’ve been a customer for over 10 years. I recently placed an order on 8 January and it never arrived at my home even though UPS indicated it was left on my doorstep. The particular items in this shipment were for an upcoming ski trip. I contacted customer service & they indicated they would refund my money. They never did. I just arrived home from my ski trip & the pkg is on my doorstep. Apparently, it was delivered to the wrong address in my neighborhood. That neighbor was out of town at time of delivery but dropped off at my house and I received the pkg on 11 February. Obviously, I don’t need the merchandise because I had to purchase locally for the ski trip. Poor Customer Service - All Sierra Trading Post is willing to do for my inconvenience is waive the return shipping fee. Well you just lost a loyal customer. I’ll take my business elsewhere!"

I Liverpool in heck hole country

"A few months ago I met the Sierra Trading Post website.
I really enjoyed the diversity of products and prices.
Although I live in Brazil, I did my registration using the address of my sister in the USA. It is good to emphasize that she is a legal resident, has an American, European and Brazilian passport.
I made my first purchase, small, but a purchase that made me very satisfied with the products and the Sierra.
About a month ago I decided to make another purchase in the same way as the previous one after receiving an email from Sierra with products on sale, that is, to be delivered in New Jersey.
I tried to access the site and could not always pl the error occurred "Oops. You do not have access to this page ".
I tried for several days to access the webpage and even downloaded the app as an alternative. Unsuccessfully.
I decided to send an email to Sierra support and got an answer that upset me. The response was very respectful and the person who sent it was very polite.
Because of a discriminatory policy of the Sierra Trading Post they had blocked access to the site and consequently the purchases to some countries, including in this relation Brazil.
It's their right, do not argue this. You sell it to whomever you want. What could be expected is that the company regarding the customer should have sent a notice by email informing the decision made.
I find it strange that even after this decision I keep getting emails from Sierra with purchase promotions. Should not they have stopped shipping too?
For those customers who try to access the website of Sierra from other countries and can not the reason may have been the same.
In short, we are customers from countries "Heck holes" as Trump said.
Sierra has a lot to learn from companies like Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops and several others where I buy with a certain regularity. There the customer is not discriminated by color, gender or nationality.
