Seven Corners Travel Insurance Company should be run out of business

"Bought their travel insurance several years back. Got Covid while in Mexico. My doctor tried to claim from Seven Corners but they refused to pay because they wanted the clinic that had supplied all of the medications during my illness to supply actual proof that they had paid someone for every item that they were claiming for. It ended up with me having to pay many thousands of Dollars to the doctor directly. Seven Corners is nothing but a scam. They should be forced out of business before they scam others."

UNETHICAL SCAM RIPOFF

"I purchased travel insurance with this company. I had to file a claim because I was unable to travel. I tested positive for Covid 3 days before the trip and a family member passed away the day before the trip. After resubmitting the same paperwork several different times and sending many emails and phone calls, my full claim was denied. I only received 75% of my money back for the CFAR that I paid extra for. I should have received the 100% back for having a legitimate claim with supporting documents including a positive Covid test and a death certificate. This company has very negative reviews on their Facebook page. They have blocked myself and others from commenting on their public posts. This company seems to make it a practice to deny legitimate claims and keep asking for the same paperwork over and over. This company is a scam. Stay far away and read their Facebook reviews."

Unlawful and Dishonest Business Practices

"I was paying for a trip for me and my mom to travel to South Africa on February 16, 2023. Due to the complications that COVID caused me economically, I was unable to financially continue making the payments. I had paid extra for AnyReason Travel . About two months ago I had to apply for unemployment and began looking at others ways to decrease my debts. So once my inability to financially pay on the trip occurred I contacted EF GoAhead Tours to cancel the trip. I was told that I needed to contact the travel insurance company, Seven Corners, who in turn asked me to go back to EF Tours. For a minute I was being played like a ping pong ball because neither wanted to take full responsibility and return my funds. Eventually, GoAhead Tours refunded me a portion of the funds and stated that I would need to obtain the approximately $450 pp of which would be non-refundable but I would receive back approximately $449 pp from travel insurance.
I have been continually getting the runaround and was told that I had to show proof of why I was unable to pay and since I was self-employed they asked for proof of my financial deficit. First I heard that they are still waiting for documents from me then they check the computer to see how often I've called to get this rectified and then say that they will call me back. Today was the last straw with the same promises and no refund to be just told once again that I would get a call within a few days.
UPDATE: 12.3.21 received a letter that my request was denied due to "Your policy lists specific reasons when benefits apply for the cancellation of a trip. Unfortunately, the policy does not provide benefits for trip cancellation due to financial hardship or reduced income in a self employed business. Please reference “SECTION IV TRAVEL ARRANGEMENT PROTECTION” In your policy for a complete list of covered reasons for cancellation." Which does not state that financial hardship or reduced income as one of the reasons for denial per Section IV. Here is what this section states:
SECTION IV. GENERAL EXCLUSIONS Benefits are not payable for any loss due to, arising or resulting from: 1. suicide, attempted suicide or any intentionally self-inflicted injury of You, a Traveling Companion, Family Member or Business Partner booked to travel with You, while sane or insane; 2. an act of declared or undeclared war; 3. participating in maneuvers or training exercises of an armed service, except while participating in weekend or summer training for the reserve forces of the United States, including the National Guard; 4. mountaineering (engaging in the sport of scaling mountains generally requiring the use of picks, ropes, or other special equipment); ……
PRE-EXISTING CONDITION EXCLUSION: The Company will not pay for any expense as a result of any illness, disease, or other condition during the 60 day period immediately prior to the date Your coverage is effective for which You or Your Traveling Companion, Business Partner or Family Member scheduled or booked to travel with You: 1) received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment for a condition which first manifested itself, worsened or became acute or had symptoms which would have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; or 2) took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine. Item (2) of this Exclusion does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 60 day period before coverage is effective under this Certificate. Waiver of the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion The exclusion for Pre-Existing Condition will be waived provided…..
False information was posted on the Forbes Advisor website which states Updated: Nov 3, 2021, 1:28pm states "Pros: Cancel for Any Reason Upgrade.” We paid for the Pre-Existing Condition Coverage which includes cancelling for any reason per Seven Corners website and the Forbes Advisor website: ” Does Seven Corners have “cancel for any reason” coverage?
Seven Corners provides the option to upgrade to “cancel for any reason” (CFAR) coverage on its RoundTrip Basic, RoundTrip Choice and RoundTrip Elite plans. “Cancel for any reason” coverage gives you the option to cancel a trip up to two days before departure for a reason not listed in the plan’s base trip cancellation reasons. For example, you could cancel your trip because you changed your mind about traveling.........
Under the United States Fire Insurance Company states IV. GENERAL EXCLUSIONS and not TRAVEL ARRANGEMENT PROTECTION as reflected in their email letters to me. My profile was automatically deleted immediately once I stated that I wanted to obtain a refund so I am unable to retract any information on their website. If a person can cancel due to COVID why wouldn’t financial hardship be one of the reason as well. We paid the higher premium of Any Reason Protection for any issue that may arise. This is a scam. It it already unfortunate that we will lose the $450 per person, have to get the run around, and be subjected to poor customer service and now be denied for our $449 per person refund.

Seven Corners Travel Insurance SCAMMERS

"I should have known to cancel, when I emailed them asking about beneficiaries for the policy, and received back an email clearly meant for someone else. I wish I had cancelled then. After moths of trying to get back to the US from Spain, and many cancelations with no refunds, we finally bought a travel insurance plan through Seven Corners for our flight back to the US from Madrid. We used a voucher from a previously cancelled flight which we paid over $6000 for. When our flight that was covered had to be cancelled because of changes related to Covid, I filed a claim. They said Covid wan’t covered. I appealed, and sent them a copy of my insurance confirmation which not only covered Covid, but included CANCEL fOR ANY REASON. They then continued to deny the claim, and eventually denied it becases we paid for the flight with a voucher. Buyer BEWARE, Seven Corners are scammers, and will not pay their claims, excuses, excuses, excuses, even if you buy CANCEL FOR ANY REASON!"
