"Allie was fantastic. She verified my order against my VIN and let me know that I had ordered the wrong part. She then conversed with me as I worked through why the pictures of the correct part did not look like the part that's actually in the car.
In the end neither of us was certain, but I let my order stand on the theory that when the engine was swapped in this car, it was replaced with one that *does* need the part I ordered.
All in all, this was maybe the best customer service experience I have ever had.
