Sears Hometown Store - Fountain Hills ****!

"Horrible customer service! The owner (Tim Budnick) didn't want honor a Craftsman Lifetime Warranty claim. I showed him printed warranty claim instructions that said visit your nearest Sears Hometown Store. He finally took the tool and said he would take care of it. Months later after hearing nothing, I went back to the store. I couldn't call because the store's number ***-***-****) hasn't worked in months. They had done nothing and the tool was still sitting there. Amanda Halo offered me $45 dollars in craftsman tools, but reneged when she called Tim on her cell phone. Tim only offered $20 in tools. I looked online for a comparable replacement because Craftsman doesn't offer the tool anymore. A comparable item costs several hundred dollars. I doubt this store will be in business much longer. Would you trust doing business with a store that doesn't even have a working phone?"

Do NOT buy ANYTHING online from Sears Home Town Store !

"Order ID#: 906329416...Purchased a Kenmore refrigerator, item# 61215 21) on line for my grand daughter. Initially, I called the Sears Home Town Store in Colville, WA, where she resides, to get a refrigerator. Spoke to Aaron. He would not take my Visa card by phone, could only purchase by phone if I had a Sears card. He told me to go to the website and purchase the fridge there. I did on 07-02-2020. Bought an extended warranty as well. Purchase included free shipping if local to Colville, WA; delivery would be in Colville. Fridge was supposed to be delivered to the Sears Home Town Store in Colville on Friday July 10th and then delivered to my Grand daughter next week Tuesday, July 14th. I called and the fridge was there. Spoke to Suzy. She informed me there was no order received to have the fridge delivered to my grand daughter I would have to pick it up, or they would charge me @ $135 for delivery and set up. The website specifically states FREE delivery if you check off that box, which I had. She said without an 'order' from some company called Innovel, she could not arrange for free delivery. I spoke to Sears Home Town Store Customer Service on 07-10-2020 and got someone in the Philippines. She said that she would send an email to Suzy with an order to deliver the Fridge, she could not send me a copy of the email but gave me a reference number. If she could send an email to Suzy then why could I not have a copy for an electronic paper trail? Spoke to Suzy later on Friday and she said she never received the email. Called Sears Home Town Store again, got Customer Service, got put on hold, phone goes dead. Called again, had to give same explanation, she had to put me on hold to speak to someone, again, phone goes dead. This happened 4 times. On 5th call (from start to finish with calling the local Sears Home Town store and dealing with Customer Service I've been on the phone for over 3 hours), I asked to speak to a supervisor. The young lady in the Philippines said I had to tell her why I was calling. Gave her the story and I asked to speak to a supervisor. She said she would call the Sears Home Town Store in Colville, WA and speak to Suzy, put me on hold, comes back says no one answers the phone. Encouraged her to call again, put on hold, then she tells me that I have to pay the $135 delivery-setup fee, or I can pick the fridge up in the story. What she nor Arron nor Suzy DIDN'T tell me, nor does the website reflect this, you ONLY get free delivery IF you have a Sears card. My wife called and spoke to Aaron and he told her "I don't even want to talk about the website." The website is very misleading in telling you what you can or cannot do. There is NOWHERE on the website that shows you get free delivery IF AND ONLY you have a Sears card. I told the **** line I was looking at the website on my computer and told her exactly what was on the website about free delivery; also described by purchase order receipt that the Fridge is to be delivered to my grand daughter. She said she could not go to the website, I have no idea why. So even though I paid for the fridge, extended warranty and was suppose to get free local delivery, everyone is telling me that isn't going to happen unless I pay the $135. To add a bit more, this fridge does not need to be hooked up for ice & water, it just needs to be delivered, taken out of the box and wrapping and be showed into the space where it is suppose to go and be plugged in. The charge to me for delivery is $80, and to cut open the box, unwrap the fridge and shove in it place costs $45 - again there is no water hookup required, just plug the fridge in. Suzy said 'I will not agrue about this with you.' I had my grand daughter go to the Sears Home Town Store in Colville, WA and pay the delivery/install fee of $135, but, because of this delay, and Suzy never received an order from God knows who to deliver the fridge, it may or may not be delivered on their delivery day next Tuesday. My grand daughter has been living out of a Yeti cooler for almost 3 weeks. It may be ANOTHER week before it can be on their delivery schedule. Who knows? Needless to say, I would never go to the website again. I will not deal with Sears because all through this litany I am being told that the Sears Home Town Store website and Sears Customer Service are two different things and Sears has no control over the website. The actual Sears Home Town Store in Colville, WA says they have nothing to do with the website but THEY told me (Aaron) to order from there. I'm now worried about the extended warranty I purchased that it isn't worth the paper it might be written on. I have no idea if and when my grand daughter will receive the fridge, and I paid an extra $135 for delivery I should not have had to pay. No wonder Sears is in Chapter 11 or 13 bankruptcy......"

"Stay away from sears! They hate their customers, never have anything in stock. They cannot order anything. Salesman are stupid, arrogant, jerks who don't care about their customers. Corporate also doesn't care."

Refrigerator bought in April, 2019, stopped working

"I am writing this review for everyone to see that has ever bought an appliance or thinking of buying an appliance from SEARS!
We bought 5 major appliances from Sears here in Richmond,Va. in April of 2018. We also paid $2000 for their extended warranty. In that short time our Kenmore Pro refrigerator has stopped cooling, and we have no refrigerator! I called Sears when we noticed the freezer was not freezing properly and they said they would be out in 3 weeks! I argued and pleaded for them to come, and their response was ”We are sorry and apologize for any inconvenience.” I explained that I was having major surgery on Sept. 18 and we needed a working refrigerator. I received the same reply as before except they added, “We only have 3 technicians for your area.” I find this incredible!
A service man finally came to our home. We were told, It might be the compressor, but it is trial and error, and it might be 2 more months before your refrigerator can be fixed. Someone will be back on Oct. 31.”
Sears said they would reimburse us for a rental refrigerator which we have gotten, but it so small we cannot fit the food we need into it. Apparently, that is what SEARS authorized. They would not install it in our house because the non-working refrigerator is in the space for a refrigerator. They installed it in our garage. My husband is 85 and I am 80. I am incapable of going to the garage because of my recent ankle surgery, and my husband has difficulty managing the stairs multiple times each day. We are having a very difficult time coping with the situation. When I explained the situation to SEARS, I was told, “We understand and are so sorry for any inconvenience.”
The food in the refrigerator and freezer spoiled because my husband was with me in the hospital and the refrigerator smells like rotted food even after it has been emptied and cleaned. We want the refrigerator removed from our home due to the smell and potential for mold.
We have bought from Sears for 64 years and never been treated so poorly! I do not recommend SEARS appliances to anyone, and the extended warranty is definitely not worth the price. Think twice before buying anything from SEARS. They do not stand behind their products, nor do they honor their warranties.

Terrible service and crooks

"Ordered appliances from a sears hometown. When we went to pick them up the store noted they did not have them. When we called for a credit to be issued that very same day, they noted the credit would be issued 24/48 hours. This was March 19, 2019. It is now June 27, 2019 and we have called nearly 20 times and no credit has been issued. We have paid thousands of dollars for never receiving the product. Stay clear never use Sears or sears hometown! "

"I live in Wynne, Arkansas 72396 and use the local Wynne store bc their products are top notch or they won't sell them in their store..... Today I had the most amazing experience with the delivery men that came to deliver our range. They, Vincent and Tommy, were such a blessing and I feel as if God sent them. Do Not Order From Sears Hometown

"I ordered a dryer on the 25th of September. They say it could take up to 4 weeks to receive it. By October 17th I call and cancel the dryer due to bo one knowing where my item is located or how long I'm going to wait. That's 3 weeks. So i call on the 24th because I have not recieved my refund. They say it was never cancelled on their part. So 4 weeks, no dryer and no refund. I cancel it again. I call them again on November 2 to check it. They have to put in a cancel request that will take 48 hours, till Tuesday and then 3 to 5 days to get my refund. That's 3 cancel requests. I have no dryer, I haven't recieved any indication I'm actually getting my $650 back. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS HOMETOWN ONLINE. You will waste more time calling to get your money back than you would just blow drying your clothes. "

Terrible company/ delivery company

"Sears beyond stores and sears hometown are all the same. I ordered my table last month from sears beyond stores. It was delivered on the 19th, but the table top was missing. I contacted them and they said they would delivery it yesterday the 25th. They did not. They ruined my wedding anniversary dinner"

Delayed!

"I am so sick if this store! The salesman was very nice and very knowledgeable about our mattress purchase...but delivery has called 4 times to reschedule!!! We are moving and not taking old bed with us so we need it when we move in...we are local...there were 4 in stock...supposedly! Sorry, this is just not acceptable...no offer of credit...nothing...just some foreigner telling me there is nothing that can be done...and it was such a canned robot response...so it MUST HAPPEN A LOT !! This is not the Sears i grew up with...they have lost a customer forever !!!"

Very Bad Service

"I order a simple screw drive set and had to pick it up in Hometown Biddeford. I left the paperwork at work, so I asked them to please either look it up by my phone number, name, address or by my shop your way rewards account. No way they would not help in any way shape of form. The women was extremely rude and then male came over and was just as rude. Maybe sears needs to rethink who the have working for them , as I would never do business with Hometown Biddeford Sears again. I have many people about what they received for service from the biddeford store and they said the same thing that they were treated horrible by the same two employee's. Maybe it is time to retire them or fire them. "
