"I contacted ScottEVest sales for sizing help, it’s really difficult to purchase clothing online. I was directed to purchase the large size Travel Vest. When the product arrived it was truly too large for my build. I contacted ScottEVest sales for advice and perhaps a resolution. What I was meet with was a sweet talking sales gal Ally who immediately told me that there was no returns or exchanges on the discounted item. I hadn't even asked for a return or exchange at that point only advice. Needless to say Ally was not taught proper customer etiquette and instead spoke over me and the end result was that she hung up on me. I called back immediately and asked to speak to Ally's supervisor. Maggie came on the phone and to make a long story short Maggie told me she would sell me a different size vest at the same discount but would not take any exchange or returns. Let me tell you for such a minor $75 sale this company is so small minded that I find it hard to believe they have been able to stay in business with the attitudes and the inconsiderate sales team that they have. I would highly recommend not buying their products for this reason alone and I suggest that the owner take a different approach to learning how to satisfy customers."
"Purchased a $200.00 Thor jacket using their sizing instructions which were not correct. Jacket was too large. I sent it back after calling them and they called me and said I had worn it. In North Carolina. In July. 95 degrees outside. Tried it on once.Wasted $15.00 on shipping it back. I was going to buy one for my son. Never gonna happen now! Poor customer service!"
"I placed an order for a pair of pants, and, as per their sizing guidelines for the product, ordered a size down from my normal size so that they would not be too big. The result - the pants are much too small to be comfortable to wear, and I should have ordered my regular size that I wear with every other brand of clothing. I requested an exchange for the next size up (my regular size), citing the fact that the sizing guidelines implored me to order a size down - hence causing the issue. I was told that they would not accept an exchange or a refund for the product as it was purchased on sale, and thus, the sale was final. The company is completely unwilling to work with me on the issue, and is not standing by their product or sizing guidelines. Stay away, if you can."
"I bought an SeV Explorer Shirt and then submitted a fairly extensive review of it to Scottevest. The review discussed both positive and negative aspects of the shirt, and made suggestions for improving it. Scottevest posted my review on their site, but only after deleting everything negative I said about the shirt. When I asked them to post the complete review, they refused, so I had them take it down.
I can only conclude that all the reviews on the Scottevest site are suspect. It also calls into question the honesty of the company."
"I purchased a jacket from Scottevest. The quality of the garment is excellent, and the price was right. After several months I had a problem with one of the zippers, and Scottevest resolved the issue to my satisfaction very quickly."
