"They call themselves printers but they outsource their orders to real printers like us. They placed an order for postcard printing with our company on 8/3/12. First their owner Suzanne called and asked if we give reseller discounts. We told her we didn’t and the reason was everyone claims to be a printer or designer but most are just middlemen who have no clue how to prepare correct artwork. She laughed and said “yeah we know how that is”. She claimed their own in-house designers were top notch and that she “would have a lot of work for us in the future”. We’ve been in business for almost 40 years so we took all of that with a grain of salt. She said she would need to have the postcards in New Jersey no later than Thursday 8/9/12. We told her that if her artwork was correct, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. She placed the order on 8/3/12 at 7:08pm eastern time and uploaded artwork. Within 20 minutes, our prepress department looked it over and found that (not surprisingly), the artwork wasn’t sized correctly, was missing bleeds and had text outside the safe area that would be cutoff during final trimming of cards. All very basic mistakes that no true printer or designer would ever make. Despite us having 9am – 9pm service hours 7 days a week, we didn’t hear from Suzanne again until Monday around noon. She claimed her “designer” was on the west coast, couldn’t get in touch with him and that after she finally spoke to him he said there was nothing he could do to fix the artwork anyway. So in addition to Sand Scripts being a middleman, it was obvious her so-called “designer” was nothing but a middleman as well. Any real designer with the original artwork files could’ve fixed the errors in five minutes. We told her that we could fix some of the artwork errors and resize the artwork for her at no extra charge but since it was already Monday afternoon, the only way she could have the order by Thursday was if we shipped it overnight. At this point Suzanne demanded to cancel the order and receive a full cash refund. We told her that our terms and conditions specifically state that all order cancellations will be refunded with in-house credit. We also told her that she agreed to our terms and conditions twice. Once when she registered for an account and again when she placed the order. Had she not agreed with our terms and conditions, she wouldn’t have been permitted to do either of those things. Most, if not all printers, have house credit terms and conditions and customers like Sand Scripts are the reason why. After being told that she would be issued house credit for her cancelled order (we waived the cancellation fee as a courtesy), Suzanne became irate, said she would refuse the charge on her credit card, told us she “went to the school about refusing credit card charges”, said she would file complaints with everyone under the sun, and on and on. She had no response when we told her she agreed to our refund conditions when she registered for an account and again when she placed the order. We also asked her why no one at her company bothered to check the artwork prior to uploading it to us and her response was very revealing. She said “we can’t do that. All we can do is go by the file name”. That’s proof right there that they’re not designers, printers or anything other than middlemen. Any real printer or designer would’ve checked the file prior to upload and would certainly know how to do so. Since the name of the file was “4x6postcard”, according to her it HAD to be mechanically correct for 4x6 postcard printing. Using her “logic”, if someone changed that file name to “64pageCatalog” she would have no problems placing an order for catalogs, uploading that same file and then demanding to cancel the order when someone told her the artwork didn’t match the order. What’s even more amusing is that after looking at Sand Scripts own refund policy on their website it states, “cancellations of a submitted order will not be accepted”. This woman had the nerve to complain about a house credit refund and her own company doesn’t allow order cancellations at all. For anyone contemplating an order with Sand Scripts, you might as well save yourself some time and money and place an order direct with a real printer. That’s all Sand Scripts is going to do with your order."

"TERRIBLE customer service. I ordered food bibs (not even custom printed) on June 29 for a July 7 party. I placed my order over the phone and the gentleman I spoke to told me I would have them at my house by July 7, no problem. I still have not received them. I called today to find out where they were, had no intention of returning them just wanted to find out what they could do to help the situation, the person I spoke to told me I was an irresponsible customer for not calling BEFORE my party to see where they were. (Why would I call before? I was told they'd be in my mailbox by the day-of...so I was still waiting until 4 pm that day when my mail came before I realized they weren't coming). He said he could do absolutely nothing to help me and then hung up on me when I was shocked to hear him tell me I needed to take more responsibility as a customer. I was simply supporting a local business by placing an order for a party and I get treated in one of the worst ways I have ever been treated as a paying customer. I WILL NEVER ORDER from here again and neither should anyone else."

I purchase small quantities of custom imprinted bibs, wet-naps, and crab mallets from them on a regular basis. Order from SandScripts.com - they are great! "DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I was ordering some personalized pencils for my wedding and it took forever to get a tracking number. I tried calling and nobody ever answered the phones, so I sent an e-mail. Days later, I finally got a tracking number, but by that point, it was too late! I wasn't going to get the pencils in time for the wedding. I was expecting my pencils on Monday, and instead I'm getting them on Friday. I called again to try to cancel the order (since I could see from the tracking number that they had not even shipped it yet, they had only printed the shipping label) and the woman said, verbatim, "I'm sure someone can get them to you in time" and hung up on me. Of course, I tried to call back to speak to her supervisor, but nobody answered! I kept getting a recorded "we're sorry we missed your call" response. I tried again the next day, finally got a supervisor. Although the woman I spoke to the day before was rude, she had nothing on this guy! He was immediately rude to me and actually started to yell at me on the phone calling me "belligerant" and so on. I couldn't believe it! He made the mistake of mentioning that they knew I called a number of times after I spoke to the woman the day before, so I'm pretty sure they were blocking my number. I finally snapped and reminded him that I am the customer and he, as a sales rep, should never speak to a customer this way (and yes, I've worked retail and customer service) and he just called me some more names and hung up!
In conclusion: DO NOT USE SANDSCRIPTS!! Terrible horrible service, amazingly rude people, and very slow processing.

"I do NOT recommend this company. I placed an order with them on August 12th. On their website they state that orders take 7 to 10 business days. They charged my credit card two days after I placed the order. When I had not received my order after a month I started trying to contact them. I emailed them asking when my order would ship and how it would ship. I got a vague, one sentence reply saying it would be out to me the following week. I wrote back asking for clarification and received no reply. When I did not get my order the next week or the following week, I again tried to contact them via email but got no response. They have three phone numbers but there is no way to reach a live person on any of them or to leave a message. Finally, I sent an email questioning whether it as even a legitimate business. My order finally shipped. The bibs I ordered are OK, not great quality. This company was horrible to work with, they don't care about customer service and take no pride in doing good work - take your business elsewhere and save yourself frustration and disappointment."

"Ordered sample card, wrong card received. Called and they said they would send the correct card. Never received it. Called again, was told I ordered the wrong sample. Before I could finish my sentence and offer to fax or email to them my copy of the order form, they hung up on me. I called back and asked why they hung up on me and was told that the card was out of stock and too bad for me. After emailing the company I was accused of inappropriate behavior on the phone. A simple check of their phone recordings (which they tell you that your call will be monitored) would have shown that I did not even raise my voice. I was astonished that someone would hang up on me like that. I don't understand what actually happened. My records and emails show a different order, still not making it right to treat a customer like that. I received an additional email telling me that they would in good faith send me the sample that I originally requested and to date, have not received it. A huge disappointment to me as I was looking to order 250 cards for a football league."
