"This computer only lasted for 15 months,,,after a yr I had to install video card,,which was supposed to be covered under warranty. The warranty is a joke,,,no warranty really. Ship part then wait weeks to recieve it. I spent as much for this system as I would have for 3 yr warranty gateway or dell,,who I know actually honor their warranty. Just bought a new gateway,,,no sams again.-steve"
"Ordered $20 Inteli mouse, they sent a $16 wheel mouse.
Ordered internet KBD, they sent multimedia KBD,
both clearly stated, NOT TO BE SOLD, microsoft for NEW computer only.
I couldn't get the mother board to work either.
I Emailed them once a day. After a week they finally replyed stateing I should quit harrasing them. Their phone number was out of service.
They claim to care about their customer satisfaction.

"We ordered a NEW motherboard/processor combo this Sams Computers had adverised on PriceWatch as "NEW". we received the item but the box was labled "Refurbished". I called and got "voicemail unavailable" three times. I finally got thru to someone in sales and told her of the issue. She then transferred me to tech support. This guy had me open the box to inspect the product. The cooling fan on the motherboard was still caked with dust buildup (obviously "used"). Instead of offering to make it right he told me to ship it back and they would send "new" one but I was to be responsible for shipping. I insisted on speaking to his supervisor at this time he supposedly "transfered" me but I never got an answer or voicemail. It is (in my mind) without question they intentionaly screwed us by false Ad and was attempting to do so again by profiting from three ways shipping."
"Ordered an Asus Asus A7V-VE on the 27th of June from Sam's and had it at my door on the 1st of July. Definitely fast compared to some other places I've bought from. The board is great as the reviews had suggested. Installation was a breeze, popped the board in my case, added in my processor and the rest of the hardware and booted up. Got the drivers off the Asus website after installing Windows and it's a great little computer to run RC5 and browse the web on."
"I ordered an Asus A7V-VE motherboard with an AMD TBIRD 1.1 GHX processor. The price was good. The shipping was on time, but the cpu didnt work when it was installed. They only provided about 5 pages of the 20 pages manual. Which didn't include the page that tells you to switch the jumper pin from 133 mzh to 100 mzh to avoid start up problems. They have poor customer service when trying to get a hold of them and they make you feel like you don't know what you are doing enev though I have built and set-up many computers."

"I found this site on pricewatch.com, and they had great prices. I order a AMD XP 2400 computer (512mb of ram, GeForce4 ti 4200 128mb) which I am using right now by the way :) and so far it has been running perftly. I do have two small complaints though.
First: when I ordered over the phone, the represenetive wasn't too friendly. She knew what she was doing, but she seemed like she was having a bad day.
Second: this isn't so big... but the case I got came with a window on the side. It would have been nice if they tucked the cords away because they're all over the place.
Now for some positives. I got this computer much much sooner then I expected, which was a great surprise. This computer came with all the extra games/extra programs/whatnot that I would have gotten if I would have built it myself. (woo hoo for getting morrowind for free) The computer was very easy to set up, turn it on and boom I'm done.
All in all I've had a great experience with Sam's Computers. The next time I'm in the market for a new computer I hope they're still around."
"I purchased 2 Athlon XP 2100 CPU's and 4 sticks of sdram at a computer show. One of the CPU's was detected correctly, the other was detected by the bios as a Duron. Switching CPU's in the same motherboard proved the fault was in the CPU. My effort to get this unit replaced was nothing short of horrible. They never answered my email, the phone number was out of service for two days, and when it was reconnected, no one ever picked up. I left three messages over three days before I finally got a call back. When I finally got an RMA and sent the unit back, it took several more calls to talk to someone. Then they claimed there was nothing wrong with it, and made me pay not just the shipping to them, but the shipping back as well. The person I spoke with apparently had little experience, because he made amateur mistakes (like "Ami BIOS doesn't even display the processor type; I'm looking at an AMI BIOS screen and it's not there", oblivious to the fact that AMI produces different BIO's for each motherboard manufacturer). I ended up resolving the problem through AMD themselves, thank goodness, with no thanks to Sams Computers. "
"I found this company through Pricewatch. As a previous rater noted, the price changed before I got around to placing my order (my fault for procrastinating). The sales person I talked to was not the friendliest and did not seem too knowledgable about computer components. It seemed her job was simply to process the order. Though I did not get the pricewatch price, it was still a good buy so I went ahead with the order. I have no regrets. I received exactly what I wanted and in all parts appeared to be new, and they didn't hold out the included software (like some companies do). I was also grateful that they are willing to take the extra effort needed to mail to APO addresses. I hope they are still around the next time I am in the market for computer products (5 years since my last purchase)."
"In the role of small business computer support, I have dealt with MANY local hardware providers and have found MOST of them to be HIGHLY questionable. Sam's Computers has been consistantly honest, good quality, good pricing and fast turn around. The few miscommunications weve had has been quickly resolved. My clients have to come first, I can't buy junk and leave my clients hanging. If I wasn't comfortable with this company, I'd leave them in a heart beat. Lower prices are useless if I dont have support. I've been screwed before. I DO recommend Sam's Computers honest, reliable, quality. On a personal note, if you stop in, Inga or Sam himself will always give you a warm smile & hello, which always makes your day a bit brighter."
