"I purchased two of the Rowley Creek Ladderback side chairs and I am very happy with them. They arrived packaged very well and were pretty easy to put together. It only took a few days to receive my order after they were ordered. "

"I will say the prices and free shipping got me and everything seemed to go great when we went to do the purchase, but there were a few things that were not great about the purchase the fact that we were told an item was in stock and the shipping takes about 2-3 weeks in total I placed my order on 8/5 and we didnt receive our items until 9/8 it was over the amount of time given and when calling rooms and things we were told after the item wasnt in stock. For the inconvenience we were given a credit of $50 which wasnt bad except I had to call and make sure it happened because I was told it was done and then I recieved an email 2 days later that it actually was done. They may need to look into the shipping company they used YRC and these guys were not the greatest, I got my tracking info called and made the appointment for the date to bring my items they and there was even a confirmation email sent from them but they all of a sudden didnt have my items and tried to reschedule my delivery because of their mistake after I had taken the whole day off work and it truly is curbside delivery but the guy stood there as if he didnt atleast heave to get it off the truck, I guess we weren't a major deal for this shipping co. All in all they have great prices and the merchandise was well worth they just need to be a little more clear with whats in stock and shipping info so customers can prepare for the worst."

"I have to admit i was a little nervous to purchase such a big item online, but i can honestly say rooms and things is a great website to shop for furniture, customer service was great and helpful. "It's always a little scary ordering from the internet, but Rooms and Things was absolutely awesome, professional and very efficient. They kept me posted on delivery, charges were as expected and customer service was awesome! And the furniture is EXACTLY what we thought it would be -- PERFECT! "My experience with Rooms and Things was delightful. The customer service is fantastic. I called R & T before I placed my order to find out if it was in stock, and when it would be delivered. I was told when it should be delivered and that's exactly when it came. The delivery service that they used was great as well. The delivery man put the furniture in my garage for me and helped me unwrap it so that I could inspect it before he left. R & T even called me after my delivery to make sure that everything went well and to find out if I was happy with my purchase. The furniture is great, we love it! I will definitely order from1 Rooms and Things again in the future!! "

"We purchased a new Signature Shay bedroom. Very happy with the purchase and shopping experience. The price was lower than anywhere else. The customer service worked with us on helping us select the pieces we needed, described material, helped with sizes. Everything was shipped in a little over a week from the day of purchase and was delivered 3 days later. We had received an ongoing communication from Roomsandthings.com. The shipper contacted us later and informed us of a delivery window. After receiving our bedroom, we realized that one of the drawers was not working properly. We contacted customer service lady and roomsandthings shipped us a drawer replacement soon after. We really glad we made this purchase and now have a brand new bedroom and saved some $$$ as well."

"I ordered a bed frame from Rooms and Things. When it came in, the delivery driver noted that the boxes looked pretty beat up. When we went to put it together, the main headboard and footboard had damaged corners. We had already taken our old bed apart, so I called them immediately that Sunday but their phone service was having issues, so I sent an email. I got a response the next day, but they were asking me to take pictures of the damage. I did so and sent them. They kept saying it was just damaged legs, even though I insisted it was the actual head and footboard. 5 days later, I just asked for a refund and for them to have the bed shipped back. They are now refusing to do so until I send them even more pictures. I have never had a company that did not take immediate responsibility for a damaged product, even if it was the shipping company's fault. They should take care of me, then deal with the shipping company. I would never shop Rooms and Things again and will do whatever possible to make sure others do not as well.
The first part of this review was submitted on August 25th. It is now September 6th. They finally told me a week ago that someone was going to contact me about picking up the bed shortly. Once the bed was picked up, they would refund my money. It is now almost a week later and the damaged bed is still in my garage and they still have my money.

"Very unsatisfied! I purchased the Porter entertainment center for 1,229.99 on April 27th 2011. The delivery company left the four parts in the garage without notification of delivery. The left pier arrived damaged, we notified rooms and things and they said they would re-ship a new one. There was extensive damage, split wood and shattered glass, to the second AND the third. The third one we were able to reject while it was still on the truck. Rooms and things was notified of the damage immediately, that was July 4th. It is now August 24th. We have not seen the pier that Lisa told us would be shipped on August 10th after repeated phone calls from me, nor have they attempted to tell us of the delay. We requested a different method of delivery or for us to pick the pier up ourselves. Think long and hard before ordering from this company. The delivery service they use to the Midwest is careless and the customer service in PA is extremely suspect. We are still waiting to hear from them about resolution. They have had our full payment since April 2011, and we have only part on an entertainment center!"

"This is the best experience that I had in a very long time. Your service, product and delivery is exceptional. I had a couple of fellas here to unload my sofa and loveseat combo (which was very, very well wrapped) and when the wrappings came off, they couldn't believe how beautiful it was - even the driver that delivered my order commented. "FROM THE BEGINNING... I ORDERED SIX ASHLEY CROFTON SIDE CHAIRS IN APRIL.FROM ANOTHER DEALER. THEY CAME IN EARLY JUNE MINUS 2 CHAIRS AND I WAS TOLD NO LONGER AVAILABLE WHICH I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND SINCE THEY WERE IN THEIR NEW CATALOG DOUBLE THE PRICE. FROM THERE I THEN WENT DIRECTLY TO ASHLEY FURNITURE AND WAS TOLD A 4-6 WEEEK WAIT. NO TIME FOR THAT BUT I ORDERED OUT OF DESPERATION. THE NEXT DAY I WAS LOOKING ON LINE FOR THE CHAIRS IN HOPES I WOULD FIND A BETTER DEAL BEFORE MY 48 HOUR WINDOWFOR CANCELLATION....AND THERE YOU WERE. ORDERED 2 CHAIRS--LESS MONEY, NO TAX, NO SHIPPING AND THEY WERE AT MY DINING ROOM TABLE 9 DAYS LATER. EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH YOU GUYS AND WILL RECOMMEND YOU AND OF COURSE USE YOU AGAIN MYSELF IN THE FUTURE. THANKS SO MUCH!!!"

"I was hesitant at first to purchase furniture over the internet but I had seen the set at Ashley so I knew what I was getting. I called and actully ordered the reverse order of the sectional that was displayed. I again hoped that they got the part numbers correct. I ordered on a Thursday and was told to expect shipping on the end of the following week. Not bad I thought. On Monday someone called and told me that one of the items was backordered and it would be an additional two weeks. They were nice about it but that is what the situation was. I was a little upset but they did call me and let me know. Well, on the Thursday of that same week I received an email saying my order was ready to ship. I called and they said that the piece came in, extremely fast, and it would ship out in the next couple of days. I received the furniture (six pieces, a sectional) on the following Friday. So in short I had my furniture in just over two weeks from ordering it and they left the furniture just outside my door, still wrapped up and in perfect condition. I saved over $500 from the store price and got exactly what I wanted. If Rooms and Things does this good with every order, the stores better watch out!"
