"Total bait and switch! It is not clear that the great deal on a camera is only, as the 'customer service' rep who called me termed it, "the camera body". This meant, no battery, no charger, etc. Those would be extra in the package deal - which I found I could get much better prices on elsewhere with more reputable dealers!"

"I was searching for a DSLR camera just to step up from a regular point and shoot camera and came across one that I liked at Best Buy. The camera was the Cannon T1i and the price was 899.99 which was a little pricy for me at the time and figured that I should look around for a cheaper price. This is when I came across Rogers Camera. On there site I found the same product in a package with several other items (Tri-pod, 2g memory card, camera bag, and a cleaning kit) which came to a total of 629.99. So of course I decided to jump on the offer. I placed the order over the holiday weekend and figured nothing would happen till the following week. The following week i got a message from Rogers Camera telling me that the wanted to verify the order and gave me a telephone number and and extension number. When I called the man on the other end immediately put me on hold. When the man answered I told him I was calling to verify an order and gave him my information. He then asked for my 3 digit code on the back of my credit card and I gave it to him. He then asked what type of battery that I wanted with the camera and gave me two choices the 2 hour or the 5 hour. So i asked the prices on the two batteries, this is where the conversation got uncomfortable. He started to get very short with me and reluctantly gave the prices $180 for the 2hr and $280 for the 5hr. A flag was immediately raised and I figured something fishy was going on because there is no way a battery for camera would cost this much. So i got online while talking to him and found the replacement battery and charger for about $40. I then told him to ship the camera without the battery, but he kept trying to push the battery on me. Finally he said that if I want it without the battery it will take 6-8 weeks for delivery. When I asked why, he said because in that configuration it would be shipped from over seas. This is when I decided to cancel the order. I would advise not doing business with them and it would be interesting to here from someone who has received an item from them."

"I searched high and low for the best price for a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens. I finally found RogersCamera.com to have a very good price. Not the cheapest, but it was a low price. I decided to purchase the glass plus the macro kit as well. Totalling just under 1500. I get a call on Memorial Day holiday from a salesman. He tries to sell me something else that I didn't want, but I had declined his offer. The salesman tells me that he is going to submit the order and I should get an email from the warehouse when the order will be shipped. He said they lens were in stock and all he had to do was to notify the warehouse to ship the package. I get an email today from RogersCamera.com saying they had oversold the item and it was on back order for 6 to 8 weeks so they decided to cancel the order. Now I ask you... if the salesmen tells you the item is in stock and then you get an email from them two days later saying they oversold the item... you tell me what this smells like. After he tried to sale me more items that I did not want, I could tell he was not happy, but I held my breathe in hopes that the glass with the macro kit would be shipped anyway... well, it was another attempt for a "switch & bate" caper.

You can bet your bottom dollar I will never shop at Rogerscamera.com again. Oh, BTW, while the salesmen had me on the phone, he wanted to sell me a 70-320 glass... I have never heard of a 70-320 glass from Canon. I had a feeling that something fishy was going on. I'll check my credit card on line to make sure these jokers don't pull a fast one. Trust NO ONE!

"I found a Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens for $419. I choose that item and added a lens hood for $49.99 and a lens pouch for $29.99. The total came to $508.98 (with shipping and tax [about] $541.93). After placing the order and getting a confirmation number through email, I started getting buyers remorse because neither the email nor the webpage confirmation had a total dollar amount. So, I began looking up Rogers Camera on the web. I was less than impressed with the lack of information and feedback available. I had placed my order on a holiday and couldn't get a hold of their customer service that day. I called the following morning (Tuesday) and was on hold waiting for about 15 mins. Then a gentleman come on the line, did not identify himself or his company, just said hello (like it was his home phone). I said hello and told him I wanted to confirm my order. He took my order number and last name and put me on hold. Once he came back he stated he needed my security code on the back of my Credit Card. I gave hit to him thinking he wanted it to confirm my identity (I probably shouldn't have). Then he said the order was confirmed for shipment in 8-10 days. I told him I would like to cancel it. He said OK. I asked if he had a confirmation number for the cancellation. He said it was the same as the order number. I said thank you and asked him for his name. "Ironically" (emphasis added), he said his name, and it was the same as mine. If I have any further updates, good or bad, I will update.
--------
Cancelled my card same day. Glad I did. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAMMER.
