Simply the best!!

"I've been ordering from them since 2003, maybe earlier. Top notch guarantee, fast shopping, real people you can talk to. I've been a distance runner all my life. I can't imagine why there is such an overall rating for such a great company. May most of your reviewers are complainers, whiie most of us who are happy don't take the time to write."

Mistake

"3 pair shoes different transactions, 1st shoe bad design wore blisters top foot returned for credit. If I was charged shipping I don't remember; my wife used credit for shoes worked fine for her a non runner. Next pair I got seemed great until I tested faster pace, while waiting for return process paid for another pair size down after buying same size at local running store. The roadrunner shoes did not fit. While at local store tried size up also (since they don't carry half sizes over 12) the 13 fit better than the12.5 from roadrunner. I conclude roadrunner deals with imperfect/quality control rejects and it costs the customer to return. Active advantage is worthless for its "benefits" from my perspective and roadrunner is a financial/peace of mind mistake. Worst shoes internet experience.

Do not purchase shoes from Road Runner Sports

"I purchased the VIP membership since they have a 90 day trying period. They don't tell you that if you return them, you only get store credit. Their return policy is such that it takes 3-4 weeks to process a return so if you want replacement shoes right away, you have to call customer service to place the order, write a handwritten message on the return slip (replacement shoes ordered) and hope you get your refund. When I receive the second pair, I wore them around my HOUSE and was told that they were "worn" and I could not get my money back. Not only did they never contact me regarding the returns, but both shoes were "in store credit" with no notifications to me! After being on hold and finally leaving a message for a supervisor, the call was returned in the evening on the phone number I asked them NOT to call and they said they would credit the first pair of shoes only and that the second were worn. So, now I am stuck having to spend $134 at Road Runner when it's the last business I would like to purchase from. Terrible experience, terrible customer service and will NEVER shop here again. Amazon Prime, I should have stuck to you in the first place."

Don't use Shoprunner

"I'm a VIP memmber and also a Shoprunner member (free two day shipping on select purchases). Twice now the Shoprunner shipping has shown up in a final receipt only to be ignored by Roadrunnnesports. I called to speak with customer service to no avail. Stick with competitors like runningwarehouse.com who value your business."

VIP joke

" I have been banned from Road Runner for questioning and arguing my point regarding the VIP program. The VIP program is a rip off and their corporate customer service basically won't listen to anything you say. Don't waste your time or money getting the VIP program here. The rules will change without notification and then when you get upset about it they ban you from your stores. Go somewhere else you'll pay less money and be treated with better service."

Rip off

"I am extremely disappointed with my purchased, I have a plat feet and this shoes did not work for me even I put in my especial insole to support my arch. I tried them on today! unfortunately I did not read the return/exchange policy online that I have to purchase the damn VIP family, for me to able to exchange/return the shoes. I am so **** off that I wasted my money! This is the first and definitely last purchased! I will never! Ever! Never, recommend your company to any of my friends, co-workers, clients, and family members! I am extremely unhappy customer! "

Bait & Switch

"Placed an order for $84.95 using a promo code, received a confirmation e-mail and showed as processing in my order history. Received pre-authorization charge from bank. Then, received a secondary charge of $23 after. Called to inquire, and was told the promo code I used was excluded from those specific shoes, even though it went through fine, and they then automatically charged me the full price, without my consent. I canceled the order."

VIP Membership - They make you jump through hoops to Cancel!

"I was persuaded to purchase an annual VIP Membership after buying a couple of items at their store. I never used the membership, so when my annual fee was coming up, I called Road Runner Customer Service directly to cancel the membership. The lady on the phone affirmed that the cancellation was done and that I would not be charged. Well, the annual fee is on my AMEX bill and I dispute the charge. AMEX investigated this and said that RR claimed that there was no evidence that I cancelled the membership with them. I called RR again, and this time asked for the Rep. name and she said no problem, sorry for the trouble, and we will refund you the annual fee. I do receive an email, but they credited me for the "Unused portion." Yes, the amount is small, but really? After several acknowledgements & apologies from the agent for all the trouble I went through, they didn't follow through with what was promised. The whole VIP Membership process feels very deceptive. I want nothing more to do with this company and wanted to share my experience."

Returns cost $9.89, even with VIP membership

"They deceptively promote a VIP membership as having "Try for Free" policy. But they bury a return clause that includes a $9.89 fee PER BOX! I ordered several pairs of shoes to try - with the plan of comparing a few and returning the least favorite. The return fees were huge. WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY!"

Unauthorized charges for a membership! Thieves!

"About 25 years ago when RRS was a new company I paid for a VIP membership (it was catalog and phone in!). It was a one-time charge for a lifetime membership. I have not run much over the past few years. I was shocked to see a $29.99 charge on my credit card for an annual membership. I wrote and they did reverse the charge with some nonsense about a change in their VIP program. Then when my end-of-year 2016 statement came I noticed that RRS charged me $29.99 last year as well. I have not bought anything from them. They just stole from my credit card. They refuse to refund last year's charge. I suppose I should have noticed it last year, but it doesn't change the fact that they made an unauthorized charge to my card and can provide no proof that I signed up for the changed program. And, I received absolutely nothing for the $29.99."

Bad news`

"Ordered shoes from this company and I had to send them back as they were damaged!
That was 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for my refund!
Call to speak to customer and they act very nice saying no problem the refund is being processed! well that is a very long time to wait and still nothing. They bill your credit card the second it's ordered but refunds are ridiculous! I will have to file a dispute with my credit card company!

Terrible company, look elsewhere!

"Went to their site recently to look at some sandals online. Was surprised when I got there it popped up with a $20 off first order. Cool! So I went through and found some new sandals and got them all ordered up. The $20 discount was reflected in my cart. Got an email right away confirming my order and used Paypal (just in case as I had never purchased from them before). A week or so passed and I heard nothing. I finally logged into my account, the order had been CANCELLED!

I then proceeded to do a chat with a rep and he came back and said it was canceled because the $20 off did not apply to sandals. WHAT? No mention of that when I went through my order. And, why did it apply to my order originally? Seems like their problem, not mine. Just like the old bait and switch going on here. I have had great luck with other shoe resellers online, so will be using them in the future. I would recommend all stay away. Wish I could give 0 stars!!

VIP program bait & switch

"Shopped Columbia MD store and all prices quoted changed at checkout. Told I had to join VIP program for $25 in order to get quoted prices. Told I would receive a $10 coupon to purchase the socks I was looking at for my next purchase. Found out later I had to spend $75 in order to get $10. Did not tell me VIP membership would automatically be renewed (charged to my credit card) each year. Very pushy sales people obviously well schooled in bait and switch technique. Last dollar I ever spend in this store. "

Unsatisfied? Well, that's your problem

"I ordered a pair of shoes. I wanted to exchange them since I saw another pair in a different colour that I preferred, so I ordered the new pair.
But here's what happens. I can only get credit for my returned pair, so even though I bought another pair as an exchange that's buying a new pair. You can only exchange for credit ...
MAYBE!
Three weeks later I STILL do not have credit. They "can't find" my return.
Do yourself a favour. Unless you know for sure these are the shoes you want DO NOT order from RRS.
