"As I wait on my 65'th minute on the Live Chat on Revonate for someone to answer me, I start to ponder if someone is ever going to answer. I purchased a Gateway:NV53 laptop from them some time ago, everything has fallen apart, they didn't tighten screws and did a god awful number on the hinges, hopefully I'll get through in this lifetime, if not I'll see you all later."

"Bought a month ago....ran perfectly then black screen of death. Tried to restore with no luck, rebuilt MBR no luck. Contacted Revonate Support and was told it was still in 90 warranty from Tigerdirect CA and he hung up on me ! Tiger sent me to Gateway, they sent me to Revonate again. Finally after 2 weeks of hassle I was given a return authorisation but I HAD TO PAY SHIPPING TO THE US to return the machine.

NEVER AGAIN should anyone deal with this outfit...expecially if you live in Canada

I contacted the company and they apologized, and credited back the shipping cost. the netbook arrived in perfect shape (it was a refurbished product). There was one very light scratch on the outside cover that was barely noticeable. It basically looked and performed like brand new. "Always a bit apprehensive about ordering refurbished after my ecost rip off. Ordered a "scrath and dent" Gateway desktop from Revonate. Computer arrived in very good shape. Unit was as described. Shipped with more accessories than I expected or were advertised including infrared remote. It lacked an S/PDIF connection which I wanted to connect to a header on the motherboard. Usually, the computer manufacturers will sell you one. I contacted Gateway but they told me to contact Revonate for any support. I contacted Revonate but they could not provide one. Basically, I had a very good experience and got a very good unit."

"I have had an awful experience with this company and did a lot of business with them in a short period of time, but never again.

I ordered several refurb computers from them that were scratch and dents. They were pretty liberal on the "scratch" part. It looks like someone dragged the cases across gravel or something.

One of the Gateways I received was advertised as having a wireless card installed. However, upon getting the computer they stripped the card out and placed an ill fitting pci slot cover in its place. They also left all the screws off the back of the case so the doors fall right off, and I also received not only the wrong mouse with one computer, but all the mouses I received with my orders were all heavily used and not even cleaned- they were covered with dirt and sludge which is disgusting. I dont know how they can send customers things in that condition.

One employee in particular who works there was somewhat rude to me regarding questions about price matching stock and combining orders and then would just ignore me all together instead of replying. Im also still waiting on the correct/missing parts to be sent out but still have heard no reply.

They are a very shady company and I dont see how they can do business like this."

Computer works fine, have been on the phone with them for shipping info etc. Seemed to be really responsive.

"I placed an order for a gateway FX 6801 PC on 1/20/2010. I chose this company because of their low prices with decent computer specs. The order came in fairly quickly only I didn't get a computer, I received a Gateway monitor. I have emailed them and about 3 days later they requested the serial number of the monitor. I emailed them the serial number and haven't heard from them for 3 days. I emailed them again, requesting a refund since I don't want a monitor, but so far no response. Its been about 5 days, avoid this company like the plague! I also tried calling the phone number on their website. I was put on hold listening to elevator music for about 45minutes before someone picked up. He said "let me transfer you to the guy in charge of the store", which was as I expected an answering machine. I left a message but not surprisingly no one called me back. Great prices, but horrible service. I'll update if i get some resolution to this problem.
