Didn't get the color right....

"Things started very well. Ordering was easy. We simply matched the paint color on the order to the color on our car's door tag. The bumper cover arrived quickly and in good shape. Then we put it on our car, and it was clearly a lot whiter than the rest of the car. We took pictures of the bumper cover tow point inserts installed in the piece Revemoto sent us showing the color difference and emailed them. The email response said that the inserts would have to be wet sanded and polished to make them match. This seemed strange for a 2 year old car that is mostly garaged. Of course, we would have to "wet sand and polish" the rest of the car to match as well. Upon further research, we found that the car manufacturer produced two white pearl colors for our year car. Crystal white pearl, and satin white pearl. The crystal white pearl is quite a bit whiter than the satin white pearl. At this point, we were turning the car in (a lease) and didn't have time to do any corrections. The dealer said right away the bumper cover would have to be repainted because it didn't match the car. We let Revemoto know we weren't seeking any compensation, but that we wanted them to be aware that we thought they had painted the cover Crystal white rather than Satin white so another customer might not have to go through the same thing. They "opened an investigation" and ultimately determined that "this is a known issue" where the pearl ages and it will take 2-3 months for the bumper cover to match the rest of the car (contradicting the need to wet-sand and polish advice they gave us before). I contacted 3 Subaru dealers in my area and showed the collision and body shops of each pictures of my car with the bumper cover installed. None had ever heard of this "known issue". One correctly pointed out to me that if he painted a piece like the cover that Revemoto sent, nobody would take the car, and if the paint changed that much in 2-3 months and he "matched" the "currently aged" look of the rest of the car, I would be back in 2-3 months mad because my bumper cover was now much "more aged". The opinion of all three dealers was that the bumper cover was likely painted Crystal white. So, in short, even when not requesting any compensation, and not asking for a replacement, a business resorts to advising you to sand and polish your whole 2 year old car to match the part they sent you, then says it is a known issue when there apparently is no known issue and really couldn't be or else you could NEVER get a correctly colored part, how can I recommend them to someone else? Simple, I can't. "
